I hate leaving a bad review but unfortunately in this case I do not have a choice. Mei messed my hair up so bad I had to get all my hair chopped off at a different salon and I'm literally depressed. Her customer service is nonexistent and her hair cutting skills are too. I wish I could attach pictures to this review. My 7 year old could've done a better job. Mei argued with me I asked her several times to leave me alone I didnt want to speak to her anymore and I didnt want her trying to fix what she did. The male owner which I think may be her husband was super nice and understanding and tried several times to get her to stop arguing with me but he was also ignored. I think by the many other reviews I've found in several different websites that this man would be better off taking his wife out of the spas equation because 9 out of 10 of the bad reviews are about her. Then she had the nerve to assume I'd pay the whole amount of the cut. I really shouldn't have paid anything because I had to pay $40 today to get her botch job fixed! I did get a massage and a facial there the next day that was really good. Shannon has several signature techniques that make her massage different than any massage I've ever had which was refreshing! Shannon gets 5 stars from me for sure! I will use the remainder balance on my gift certificate for massages!

Aliza Hair and Body brings a resort style atmosphere....locally. No expensive has been spared at this total body spa salon. Peace and tranquility is infused from the time you pass the entrance fountain, to the aroma therapy and soft music. I was pampered by the beautiful and talented Deanna Cutter. She transformed not only my hair but my day as well!! I am looking forward to my next appointment and taking advantage of the massage therapy in the near future!!!

This was my first visit to the salon, but definitely will not be my last. The atmosphere is so calming and peaceful. Mei explained exactly what I needed for my hairstyle with color and highlights. I am so thankful to have such a great salon in Irmo. My daughter also enjoyed getting a pedicure. Staff is courteous and very welcoming.

Absolutely the best! From the moment I walked in until I walked out the door I loved every minute of it. Mei, Heather, and Alan did a fantastic job on my hair and nails. I hesitate to write this review. However, I would be remiss if I did not due to the amazing experience I received at the beginning of my appointment to the awkward, unprofessional experience that was shown towards me as well my child. I called the day before asking about appt’s, pricing, and detailed what I needed. I was told that they could do a 2:45 appt and a 4:00 appt and if possible work me in while my girls were getting their hair done. Upon arrival, the atmosphere was fabulous, facility was above and beyond serene, and the staff was amazing pleasant. I again communicated that the girls were of first concern (ages 11 and 12) and if I could be worked in, great, if not I would reschedule. Both girls arrived with hair that had not been recently washed, both received a dry haircut, one involving some straightening due to French braids earlier in the day, and that’s it. No shampooing, no blowout. I was never once asked what I needed as far as my hair was concerned. I did have a glass of sub standard Chardonnay . As the appt ended, I again reassured it was ok to reschedule me. Then I was told that the haircuts would be $45 a piece. Mind you the day before I was quoted $35.00 and that included the shampoo and blowout. I was told that the $45.00 pricing was correct, the brochure was wrong and that they don’t do children. At this point, I saw my daughter flush, embarrassed that she was bing called a child, which she is but she supposedly received the services that would be provided to an adult. The owners haggled in front of me over the pricing which became very uncomfortable, never once acknowledged that I had not received any services myself, and argued with me over the fact that they still added up the total incorrectly. So in all I paid $110 for for two dry haircuts and some detangler. I will pay all day long for services rendered But if you only take $5 off for the shampoo, haircut , blowout which is $50 Then just do it all and I’ll pay the $50 Especially when you advertise a shampoo and blow out is $35 I had to write this because I am so sad. It was so great at the beginning But ended in such a way that there’s no way I could go back. It would be too uncomfortable Word of mouth matters.... Anna Rock Kirkland

I can't speak highly enough about this salon or my experience here. First of all, the customer service and professionalism were second to none. Secondly, the facilities are absolutely magnificent - you must see to appreciate -- (in my humble opinion) it's the nicest, most tranquil salon I've been to in the Columbia/Lexington area (by far)... my husband gave me a gift certificate for Christmas - I went for my first appointment today with Mary for a mani-pedi.. I was blown away at the amazing, thorough job she did - and I'm not exaggerating when I say this was the best man/pedi I've ever had.. furthermore she was a pleasure to talk to throughout my visit - I felt like I was talking to an old friend.. I highly, highly recommend this salon..... you will not be disappointed - five stars is not enough.

I had the pleasure of having Mei turn my hair from pretty to gorgeous! I was referred by a friend and am so glad I decided to switch things up. Mei is an expert and will address every question/issue/desire you have for your hair. She is quite personable and will treat you to a complimentary coffee or even wine during your cut! Her quest for quality and beauty is showcased in the inspiring salon she and her husband built. Walking into the salon is like a trip to a fun art museum, calming spa, and cabin in the mountains all at once. It was a delight to explore her beautifully decorated salon and I look forward to going back!

The owner of this place was so RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL about my daughter. I have a 7 month old baby and I can't afford to get a baby sitter, so I have to take her everywhere with me. And my baby didn't cry at all she just laughed a couple of times, and the lady told me that I couldn't bring my baby anymore because she was disturbing others. But there was only one other person in there on the other side of the salon. I guess my daughter was disturbing the manager while she was playing on the phone. The owner is a horrible and rude lady for being rude about my 7 month old baby.

I had been to Aiza 3 times before my most recent visit for a therapeutic massage. All three sessions were with Tammy McConnell (who is INCREDIBLE) but for this last massage, she was no longer working for Aiza. Even though Tammy was gone, I wanted to give the salon another try as a result of the wonderful experiences I had previously. I do not leave reviews often but due to my less than pleasant experience, I’d like to express my disappointment. The massage therapist, Shannon, called 3 minutes before my massage was set to begin to say she was not going to make it while I was already waiting. The people at the front desk suggested I run errands for a while and they would call me when Shannon pulled up to the building. I understand things happen that are out of one’s control but I was a bit irritated that the therapist called right before my session was to begin. The therapist had to of known before her 2:57 pm call that she would not be able to make it by 3. I couldn’t believe how unprofessional this was. I told the woman at the front desk I wasn’t sure what to do as I had drove 40 minutes to get here for the massage. I stood for a minute trying to think of what I could do for an hour or so or if I should even wait. While I was standing there, the owner said, “I mean, we could fire her”. I could not tell if she was serious or kidding but this made me highly uncomfortable. I did decide to run a few errands while I waited. I received a call from the salon and headed back. The massage was horrible. The majority of the massage felt as if she was just rubbing lotion on me instead of actually trying to alleviate tense muscles and stress. The therapist also kept aggressively telling me to relax. I’m not sure she recognizes that yelling at someone to relax is the exact opposite way to help someone relax. Finally, the massage ends and I realize it was NOT the full 90 minutes, it was exactly 10 minutes short. I know it seems petty to focus on 10 minutes but considering her being late and the fact that the massage did not involve any sort of relief, I honestly felt robbed. However, when I went to pay, it was still the full cost of a full 90 minute massage. Maybe I should have said something then but I paid the full amount. Even though I am an advocate for leaving a great tip for good service, I did not as I felt I shouldn’t even being paying for a 90 minute massage since it did not last that long. Overall, I was extremely unsatisfied with the level of service and the quality of the massage. I really thought I had found my place and I’m disappointed to say that after this visit, I will not be going back.
