Not only is the salon a very welcoming environment, but it is filled with very welcoming and talented artists. Beautiful Salon and Barber shop. Brandon and Sanoma Johnson are the owners & they are very attentive to their clients. The staff is very knowledgeable of their craft. For your convenience you can make your appointments online. Another perk is that they provide specialized service for large parties such as bridal parties.

Her stylists took the time to advise us on what would look good with our gowns and did a great job. We received many compliments at the wedding. I had 2 very good experiences with Eliyah. However, he no longer works here. For my 3rd trip back I explained how much I wanted off the top and showed a picture for reference and left with something completely different and way shorter than I would have liked.

Went in to get my long hair cut into a long bob and was so impressed with Sanoma. Every time I would try to get my hair cut short at other hair salons they would tell me to keep it long, but Sanoma wasn’t scared at all and tackled it like a beast. I have never been so happy about my hair before and would definitely recommend her!! Everyone in the salon was also so so friendly and it felt like they were all my friends. So happy with the results and also I get to donate my hair!

Just started getting my hair cut here a few months ago. Whether it be an even haircut with a neck fade or just a shape up, Khari always does a great job. Very professional shop but with a casual environment. Great added conveniences of the ability to book appointments online and the option to pay with a credit card after service. Overall great place.

I've been in Dayton, OH for some time and I came here to pittsburgh for a trip. I needed a hair cut and went to the cultural's elite for a cut. The staff was amazing they offered complimentary coffee and Wi-fi. Good clean place to be. The music was up-scale and even the clients did not make me feel uncomfortable. I was more than happy with the service and diverse atmosphere and even my girlfriend looked amazing after getting highlights done I'll visit that shop when in town any time I can.

Amazing experience with Rachel. She is a professional, a scientist and an artist all at once. I enjoy trying new places when I travel, so came to the Cultural's Elite on a whim and for the first time, and was very impressed with how all the stylists worked together. The efficiency, and kindness of everyone left me with a great feeling. Plus, Rachel used all the apparatus creatively and gave me a rocking haircut. Hope to come back next time I visit Pittsburgh.

If you are trying to find someone, you can TRUST with your hair then look no further! If you want professional stylist or barber to take care of you right the First time then you must come to The Culturals Elite in Pittsburgh. Oh and one huge factor: they are not over priced! I had hair extensions from another salon, very expensive ones. For my very fine hair, they should have never put them in. After only 2 months, they were matting at the root. I met Sanoma (stylist) one day after work in front of her shop. She made an appointment the very next day for me, tackled this problem with grace. She took her time to get the extensions out, giving me a protein hair treatment and beautiful cut. While I was there, I saw her husband cut three gentlemen’s hair. It was like watching an artist paint a picture, excellent work!

Sanoma is AMAZING! Previous hair dressers could not get my hair to grow past my shoulders, and one actually caused me to lose hair! But she has nursed my hair back to health and is passionate about helping my hair get back to how healthy it used to be. I took my 4 year old child to have a haircut therefore the owner was not in a mood for cutting the hair to a child so he assigned a learner. After two hours he decided to teach this learner on my so tired litle boy. If you go be sure the owner is the mood to cut your hair.

Love this salon and could not recommend this salon enough! It's the first salon I've gone to that made me feel welcomed. Everyone is incredibly friendly! The stylists take the time to ask you about your hair, what you want done, and explain what they need to do to reach your hair goals. Communication is key and they've got it! The stylist were able to put my mind at ease too! I've had a horrible salon experience with lifting color/bleaching that resulted in severe breakage. I became extremely picky and cautious after that dreadful experience. Cultural Elite is so detailed oriented and knowledgeable that they were able to put my mind at ease while delivering results!

I originally went to Rachel at Cultural's because it was conveniently located across the street from my place of work, but now I go there because Rachel's got my hair sass down to a science! She's fun, creative and extremely talented. I'm not a girl with strong vision of what I want my hair to look like, but Rachel really helps me feel like I have fun, pretty, sassy hair! If there ever came a day that I didn't work right by Cultural's I'd STILL travel to Downtown if that meant Rachel got to sass my hair! She's awesome. I haven't personally experienced services for any of the other technicians there, but I love the cohesiveness and teamwork you feel among all the employees when you're there. They've got a great crew there that really know how to take care of their customers!

When you go in and have no clue what you want to do with your hair trust me you will never be desapointed. Kiderah washed cut and styled my moms hair. She suggested to add some color. I moved to Pittsburgh 2 years ago and met Rachel and Brandon shortly thereafter and couldn't be happier that I did. The atmosphere at Cultural Elite is fantastic, I really enjoy the 30-40 minutes that I spend there every couple of weeks. The staff is friendly and seems to really care about the customer. Rachel has been cutting my hair for the past 2 years and I wouldn't consider to going to anyone else. She does a fantastic job on my hair and is super easy to talk to and hang out with. I had a wonderful experience with Rachel who is very good at what she does. she is caring, and careful. I had long hair that I wanted shorter, she asked me several times before she cut the first lock if I was certain about my decision. price was reasonable, the her work and services were superb. I recommend her to anyone who wants a haircut from someone who knows what she does and does it with passion. It is not easy to transition from very long hair to shorter hair, but I think she managed to pull what I exactly wanted, and she took the lead. I recommend her work any time. I would go back to her again.

I'm honestly conflicted. When I got my haircut I was very happy with what I got because I was excited for the sudden and big change, but months later I regret being complacent on some things. I forget my stylist's name, unfortunately. I asked for an undercut in a triangle shape and got a crooked line going across the back. I didnt notice how crooked it was for a very long time but its incredibly noticeable when my hair is in any updo. I heard a lot of good about this place and was rather disappointed long term. That being said, my stylist was very sweet and did her best. I may not have been as clear as necessary, but since it's been so long I cant say with certainty. I would say give this salon a chance but dont let yourself be so excited by a new change that you ignore mistakes- be clear and explain as much as possible. The people here are very nice!

Brandon has been cutting my hair for around 10 years. He is by far the most consistent barber I've ever had cut my hair. I can guarantee the same perfect haircut every time i sit in his chair. His staff are all very friendly and dedicated to there customers. They all know who you are and greet you when you come in there. U can be sure to have the best service with anyone in there.
