Went from long hair to a pixie cut and it a great experience. Kelly was wonderful! She made sure to find the right style for my super thick hair. Informative consultation that put my concerns to rest. This was a huge change and I wouldn't go anywhere else!

I've been going to Grace Kelly for a year now, and love my haircuts there! Kelly (owner and senior stylist) does a lovely job with my curly hair. She gives me a cut that doesn't require much maintenance: I just wash it, put an anti-frizz serum, and leave it to air dry. Someone once stopped me at an airport to ask who cut my hair, and was surprised that I just let my hair dry naturally for it to look like that! Kelly is pretty good about identifying what works and what doesn't work for your hair, and I really appreciate that! Just because a hair cut looks good on another person, it doesn't mean it will suit your hair, and she can point that out. If you are visiting Gettysburg, consider getting a hair cut here!

Kelly and her team were nothing but professional for my friends wedding this past Saturday. My friend, the bride, and I popped in the day before just to check out the salon and see our path of travel so the groom would not have any way of seeing her! The ladies knew all about us as soon as we walked in, and expressed nothing but excitement and made us feel like family before we even sat in their chairs. When arriving at the salon on Saturday we had set up a little station for mimosa's and snacks, which Kelly had told us about the day before, GREAT IDEA! After getting set up, we then all took turns getting our hair and makeup done. Several of the girls even added makeup after the reservations were made, and the ladies were nothing but accommodating towards us. Without ever meeting us, each of our hairstyles truly captured our personalities, and held all day and night! And, the makeup application was flawless as well! If I did not live in Pittsburgh, I would be using Grace Kelly Salon for my very own wedding next year! Kelly and team, thank you very much for helping kick off Sam's big day with nothing but professionalism and care for all of us!

Since I just moved into town I researched online and decided to make an appointment at this salon. My experience started off great..and then went downhill. I arrived to the salon and was immediately greeted by my stylist who was also serving as the receptionist. My consultation lasted about 15 seconds. In that time, I explained I hated red undertones, wanted a little darker fall hair, and loved texture in my hair. I had considered even adding extension to get more waves. I was told extensions were about the same length as my current hair. The color was not discussed further to show examples, ask about what low or highlights or variance I was looking for…All of a sudden she left and started mixing colors. When she came back I had pulled up an example on my phone to ensure those were the colors she had mixed since there was no discussion. She glanced (barely) at the picture. There was very little conversation since she was smacking on gum the whole time. The good news was I was in foils and didn’t have another client being serviced in between my processing time. The foils were removed and I was seated back in the main area. While waiting another client came in to have his hair fixed from a bad cut he had received at this salon. Apparently, the person who cut his hair was straight out of school and the person making the repair had a whole 1 month of experience. They did talk about the different levels (1,2, etc) in the salon of stylist. If the salon has levels of stylist, I think they should have choices and pay levels. If I want a high level of stylist, then I will pay more and a lower level should pay less. This is reason I LOVE salon 3 thirteen in Atlanta, GA. You choose which level you would like for every area.. color, cut, texture, etc. I wish all salons had disclaimers. Back to my experience - I have long hair and the stylist used a hair bush from the top to remove tangles out of my wet hair. It’s a good thing I am not tender headed since my head was being pulled sideways. It is basic skills 101 to use a wide pick or comb starting at the bottom to remove tangles.. However a brush was used from top to bottom just yanking through my wet hair. From there she started to blow dry my hair. I asked if she was going to trim or cut my bang area. She said she would when it was dry. She blew my hair dry straight. (See above when I walked in and said I liked TEXTURE and waves). I hate my hair straight. She did trim my bangs. I walked out of salon with basically the same color as before (I wanted fall changes. I did not want straight hair ever). The salon only takes cash or checks for tips. Yes, I stilled tipped because I am a sucker. It would have been nice to have the ‘bring cash’ rule explained when my appointment was confirmed. I tried this salon with high hopes, but I will not be back. On to another salon (and hopefully better) experience.

They always do a wonderful job! Both my daughters and I left thrilled with the cut they did on each of us. I have difficult hair to work with and Kelly just gets it! My 5 yo went super short and is so happy with it! Even my teenager appreciates how nice everyone is there.

I visited the Grace Kelly hair salon for the first time this week and the owner Kelly cut my hair. I love it! I'm always a little nervous going to someone new but I felt very comfortable and could tell right away that I was in good hands! The salon itself is upscale but not pretentious... it has a very cool vibe and relaxing too. I will definitely be returning in the near future for a hair color :) I live an hour away but its worth the drive!

I am new to the area and needed to find a salon. By way of history, my former stylist retired and my last cut at a low end studio did not go well. I waited over 5 months to have my hair cut again because I wanted to grow out the previous cut. I did my research. I found Grace Kelly Salon was in my area. I looked at the web page, read the bios and decided I'd like to try having Kelly cut my hair based on her experience and that she was the owner. I called and was surprised when Kelly answered and had time for the next day. I accepted the appointment and felt good that it was easy to get the person I wanted to do my hair. When I arrived I introduced myself to Kelly, who was in the reception area and she told me that she switched me to Ashley. I already knew that based on the bios posted on their site that Ashley would not have been my choice. However, I was so ready to be done with the bad cut and the grown out hair that I just let it be. I felt very offended, and sitting there considered leaving. But I was there and wanted to get this done. Kelly, it turned out had a meeting with a wedding planner or father of a bride... not sure. So it appeared that I was passed off so that she could schedule a meeting with this man. Perhaps it was a business opportunity. But I felt that I deserved to be treated better. Ashley asked me what I wanted and I expressed my frustration with the layers in my hair as they existed. They were choppy with a big step between the upper and bottom. I wanted my hair layered from top down evenly. I asked to have some layers put on top for lift. This is what I wanted because it is how I have always worn my hair. I think I was on brain freeze because I let her convince me that what I really needed was for her to run some shearing scissors through my hair to give it lift. That really ended up shredding my hair and it now looks very damaged and choppy. Almost if I had really bad split ends. Which I don't. Or didn't. Anyway, at the end of the cut Ashley styled my hair. Now in fairness, when I arrived that morning I had not pre-styled my hair. I was going to a hair dresser, so I assumed they would just wash it out. I realize this may have been a mistake. Afer washing and cutting and drying my hair it looked almost exactly as it had when I arrived. In other words I had messy bed head hair. I was shocked. I had errands to run, but could not go out like that so I had to go home instead. When I got home I quickly washed out my bad style and tried to fix my hair. I realized almost immediatly that I had the exact cut that I had just spent 5 months growing out. I sat down and cried. I had made an appointment to go back this week for a color. When I called to cancel (a courtesy that Kelly did not give me when she passed me off to someone I did not ask for) Ashley answered the phone. I explained I was unhappy with the cut. She basically blamed me for not telling her what I wanted. She did say sorry. Never offered to have me come in for a fix (not that I would have but the offer would have made me feel better). She stopped just shy of hanging up on me. My advice is stay away. They seem to want to chase big parties and the small customer may not be important to them. If you do go be very specific about who will cut your hair and expect that person to keep the appointment.

Grace Kelly is an excellent salon! I had my hair done last week...and there have been nothing but complements from everyone! The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgable. I would highly recommend this company!

I had walked into Grace Kelly Salon to get information about their products and in hopes to make an appointment. Upon my arrival, I was kindly greeted by one of the stylist, (I don't remember her name but she had a blue vibrant color in her hair). She was extremely helpful and so informative in what all they had to offer. I have difficult hair and wanted to make sure I would be in the hands of someone with experience and who could tend to my hair needs. While in conversation, we were so rudely interrupted by another stylist who had walked up from the back part of the salon not knowing any of the things that the other stylist and I had discussed and proceeded to try to book my appointment with herself and handed me her card (since I have her card I know her name is Emily). I was immediately turned off by her unprofessional actions and politely left.
