My name is Debb Linke, and I just had my eyebrows done with permanent make-up. I had the stroke effects. Omg the women who did it was wonderful. She was so patient with me. I am a perfectionist. They look great and it didn't hurt at all. She was also very knowledgeable at what she does. She's been doing this for several years now. She only does the permanent make-up once a week and that is every Thursday. So for those of you who whan to have a procedure done I suggest you make an appointment right now at the Fountain of youth in Pittsburgh. She's amazing! Very pleased!!!!!

Penciling your eyebrows are for the birds! I'm so glad I decided to make the step and get my eyebrows done permanently! They look so natural and I get so many compliments all the time but no one knows they're tattooed! She is so experienced in eyebrow shapes and what is right for every person.

Please please please do not waste your money- even if it is through a what seems to be GREAT Groupon or Living Social Deal!! Unknowingly of how horrid this place is, I begged my fiance for the Groupon Deal for a "Spa Day" as a Christmas gift. "Spa Day" should have been advertised as "Spa multiple visits because we cannot accomodate a 1 hour massage, 1 hour facial, a mani and a pedi in one day". My first service that was scheduled was the mani/pedi. The pedi was given in a dark room so close to the back of the building you could hear people outside talking, car engines running... she started the pedi with me in a chair with my feet in a bowl of water, then had me "lay down on a massage table for a "EUROPEAN" approach to finish with the polishing, etc. The mani was straight up disaster too. I was moved to a seat literally in the front window, and I'm certain this woman never painted nails before because I had polish all over my fingers- ended up taking the polish off as soon as I got home. Visit 2 was a facial and massage. The male massage therapist was akward, had cold hands, and his cell phone actually rang (not even vibrated- RANG) while he was in the room with me. The facial was good- the lady offered me to come back to see her to redo my bad nail experience. When I came to see her for visit 3- she called off, and I was sent to the beauty school (ran by the same owner as this dump) to have my nails done by students (which did a better job anyway). This place is unprofessional, unsanitary, and should NOT be branded as an Aveda salon. It's a shady place. I do appreciate the offer that was made to "make the experience right". It doesn't do anyone any good if no one answers the phones, no one returns the many messages left, and that the employees don't even stick around to see you there 2 weeks later because they quit or just disappear.

I visited the Fountain of Youth Spa in December for the very first time. I had purchased a Groupon for permanent eye liner. I did not have a very hard time scheduling, as Cheri's (the owner) schedule and mine worked well even during busy holiday times. I had to wait at the desk and to get started, however, I expected this and was not surprised since I am in the salon business myself, I know holidays are rough. Some of the wait time was for numbing the permanent make up area, which I happened to appreciate. I was very pleased with her work, the lines are exactly what I asked for and I will have them touched up, which is recommended to make sure they stay nice. I returned to the salon this week to have the top lid done, holidays over, hardly a wait. The end result on the top line looks awesome as well. I am very pleased with it too. I will return to the salon for microdermabrasion, and the make up touch ups. If you like to treat yourself, do yourself a favor and experience one of these services.

I had visited Fountain of Youth Spa and Salon to have permanent make up done. I was a little nervous at first, but Cheri the owner, made me feel very comfortable with my decision. I started with only bottom liner, which turned out fantastic. Cheri is very talented and an artist in my eyes. This did not hurt at all, she was very gentle and precise. I loved this so much I am returning back to get the top liner done. Great for beach vacations and swimming, no raccoon eyes anymore. If you feel uncomfortable going without eye make up, I suggest considering Cheri at Fountain of Youth Aveda Spa and Salon, Reynolds Street, Pittsburgh, Pa 15206. I had a great experience with Cheri.

This was my best experience every. I bought a groupon for microderabrasion, and Sherrie the owner has helped me with my skin so much. Sherrie is the best! She got me on the right track with the Aveeda products. She always is so helpful and professional. I def recommend the microdermabrasion to anyone with breakouts or clogged pores. I had my permanent make up done last February with the owner and I am very pleased with the result I had. My eyebrow looks amazing,the shape that I really want to look like.I also had my upper eyeline done and She was really good at it..I am very happy and I'm glad i choose the fountain of youth to do my permanent make up..My mother and sister will be going to get their permanent make up done with the owner.I highly recommend her to anyone of my friends and family..

The owner lacks respect for their costumers. Worst costumer care. First, the appointment scheduling system online shows days and times available, when in fact, they are not even open (because they decided to close for 2 weeks for the holidays, this I knew after the fact). Once I made the appointment online, they cancelled it and sent a cancellation email, without even giving a call to re-schedule. So I called to try to get an appointment, and they only offered very very few complicated time options, saying that the owner was the only one capable of providing the microderm service, and that she was not available. I said I could not use the service, and that I would have to cancel the 6-treatment package I have bought. One day later they called saying they had an extra stylist and that they could accommodate me at the same initial time I had scheduled. So that was today, I get to the fancy salon, and find the owner and the extra stylist with a crowded waiting area. They have overbooked, and according to another costumer, they were running one hour behind. One and a half hours have passed, and they have not even taken the form I filled out. During that time I asked twice how long more I had to wait and they always responded:15 min. A total lie. For those reasons, I would NOT recommend this place.

I needed my haircut fairly quickly for a funeral of a family member. I called and made an appointment with a girl named Erika. She worked with my busy schedule and fit me in very promptly, even with the short notice. Once arrived I was quite taken with the atmosphere of the place, very clean, in a very good looking section of Point Breeze. I was also taken with Erika, she gave me a great haircut and was quite good looking herself.

First of all, Charlie the masseuse is fantastic and very good at his job. Beyond that the manner in which this spa is run is shockingly unprofessional, they're not ready for appointments, they talk about other customers in front of you, and they generally do not have their act together. I had a mani/pedi appointment and the only other employee in the salon (other than my manicurist) didn't have any hair appointments so she plopped down in a chair near us and she and the manicurist gossiped with one another the entire time. The manicurist convinced me to upgrade to a shellac manicure, and once the process was underway she would take breaks to read the directions on the polish box, finally admitting it was her first shellac manicure. The polish on my right pointer finger had lifted up and was peeling off before I even made it home, a ten minute drive. She also gave me the most horrendous french pedicure I've ever experienced. Between the extensive task of getting shellac polish OFF, taking off the pedicure, and painting my own toenails, I spent more time fixing my salon experience than I spent in the actual salon. If not for Charlie I'd give them one star, so if you're not getting a massage I would advise you to find another spa.

She listens to what I want but also makes suggestions that I could not know and I have always been extremely pleased with the results. Plus she is very friendly and her salon has a great ambience, clean and with great music. I highly recommend it!!!

I emailed Cheri in hopes of getting in to see her before my upcoming wedding. I wasn't sure what to expect, figuring to maybe get an email a week or so from then, If at all. She was actually very responsive and interested in exactly what I wanted. I have tried MULTIPLE different places and never really loved my hair, but she totally exceeded my expectations. She is the first to cut and color exactly how I wanted! So lucky to have found her so close to wedding. Can't say enough good things about her, will never go anywhere else!

I was very skeptical about permanent makeup but the results are wonderful. Cheri made me very comfortable and was very professional. She explained everything to me on the phone of what to expect when I called with questions. My appointment was scheduled quickly. I had so many compliments of how good it looks and most people cant believe its permanent eyeliner. I also have extra time in the mornings since it don't have to put my eyeliner on my bottom lids that I am scheduling an appointment to have my upper lids done. Its so nice to not have to worry about it going on uneven or waiting for it to dry that it will give me even more time. I have a very busy life working 2 jobs and start back to school that I need every minute I can get and not having to worry about putting eyeliner on every day is a great feeling. Yesterday, I got my hair cut and colored by Cheri at her salon in Point Breeze, and I can honestly say I had the best experience. I am the type who likes to experience different salons, but I found that Cheri is the best at cutting, coloring, and styling my hair, compared to any other place I have gone to. She has the perfect touch, where she knows how to make you relax, and enjoy the entire Aveda experience. Oh, and by the way, Aveda products are by far the best ones out there yet. My hair feels FABULOUS, and AMAZING. If your looking for a new place with great products and fantastic hair stylists, AVEDA is the salon you have to try. I absolutely loved my time being there. I had a great experience here. Cheri was very careful and looked at how my hair naturally fell and cut it accordingly. I was interested in getting bangs/fringe and Cheri recommended easing into it which was great advice and she gave me a great cut. Up until this point, I usually would walk out of a salon disappointed. Not here, I will definitely go back.

Do not go here if you want a wax. The owner does the waxing and is more concerned with running her beauty school than treating her paying clients. I received a call today 3 hours before my appointment to tell me that the owner won't be in today, due to a school emergency, and that my appointment was canceled. They did offer some times later in the week, but I scheduled my wax the day before my event, when I needed it to be taken care of. The first time I went, they called 2 hours before my appointment and tried to push it back 3 hours. I told them I had a 15 minute delay I could accommodate and came in 15 minutes later than my appointment time. I happened to walk past the owner/waxer who was yelling at the receptionist that I would have to wait and this "meeting" she was going to had been on the books. Mind you, I scheduled my appointment at least 4 weeks in advance. We gave her 10 minutes and she did come back to perform the wax and told me how the meeting was for her school and how important it was. I said nothing and tipped $5. There's a reason they offer a Groupon for every service....

I called for a permanent pigmentation procedure and was quoted a maximum price over the phone. When I went in to have the procedure performed, I was charged $50 more than the quote over the phone, Sherry (the owner who performed the procedure) did not have any of her equipment with her. She said that she forgot them at a school that she has. She ended up using something she found in the back room. I paid 500 to look exactly the same way I did when I came in. She refused to refund my money or reapply the pigment. Her husband hangs around the salon flirting with the customers and being an overall eye sore. Horrible experience.

I've been there for 5 massages and every time have felt relaxed from the very beginning. I've been greeted by a friendly receptionist who either gets me a warm glass of tea or some water. My masseur is generally less than 5 minutes behind and then gives a wonderful massage for the full time while not talking unless I initiate. I always come out feeling refreshed and am greeted with a glass of water. Last time I went, Joe even showed me some head and neck stretches to keep myself more relaxed. I highly recommend it although the only gripe I have is it's hard to get someone on the phone when you first call. However, if you leave a message, they will call you back that day.

I've been going to Cheri for 2 years now and highly recommend her. She is very knowledgeable and is able to work with you to define a good look for each client. At my most recent haircut I came in with a photo of what I was hoping to get. She talked to me about options based on my hair texture for about 10 minutes to determine the best fit. The end result is the best haircut I've ever had and it's all thanks to Cheri!

Hello..Today I experienced microblading on my brows at The Fountain of Youth Salon in Point Breeze. Cheri, the owner, is awesome. A true professional in more ways than one.She is creative, and strives for perfection .A sevice like microblading is permanent and Cheri takes so much time in making sure you are 100 percent satisfied with your results.I left there not only satisfied but feeling like I made a wonderful choice in having the micoblading procedure done. I love my new brows and can't believe I will have them forever.The Fountain of Youth Salon was an excellent choice and I will highly recommend it. Kz
