A friend of mine had gone to Avante for years and always spoke so highly of her stylist (Alaina). Alaina has a months-long waiting list (always a good sign) so I made my appointment with one of Avante's newer stylists, Shelly. Shelly was amazing! She was so personable, easy to talk to, relatable, and most importantly, GOOD AT HER JOB. I wasn't 100% sure how I wanted to get my hair cut, so I put the ball in her court, and she did an amazing job. I've been circulating salons and stylists in the tri-county area for years trying to find somewhere that makes me want to return, and I made my 2nd appointment with Shelly on the spot. Their prices are also very competitive, which was nice (I've paid upwards of $100 for a haircut in the city) and they also gave me coupons and samples when I was leaving. These small but resonating gestures showed me how much Avante cherishes their client relationships. Not only is Avante good to their clients, but they are good to the community too. I recently got an email from them that they are holding donations for a charity walk in Chester County, which also speaks so highly of Avante as a company. I highly recommend Avante!

I have been going to Avante for 12 years - It all started when I let my high school boyfriend color my hair... big mistake! Katy K. corrected my color and did the cut, and I was hooked. Over the years, I've been back to the salon for tons of services, from waxing, to massage, facials, nails, bang trims, and advice about hair styles and colors. The salon is spacious and clean and always busy - Sometimes I have to wait a few minutes for my stylist, or aesthetician, but I don't really think of this as "waiting" - In those moments, I have some cheese and crackers and just start to mentally unwind from my day. I am always offered a glass of wine, cup of coffee, or cappuccino, and a magazine. I also really like the Avante club - I go to the Salon pretty often, so it's nice to be able to have an opportunity to purchase a membership, with great member benefits, like product discounts, and free services. I've recommended Avante to my mom and aunt and a few friends - All 3 folks get haircuts and seemed to have great experiences. At Avante, I know what I'm getting, no matter who performs the service. Before coming to Avante, I've always had that experience where you get your hair cut and you hate it for a bit until it grows out a little. I've always thought that was standard with hair cuts. Then Aubree cut my hair and completely changed my standards. She is the best Hair Stylist in Chester County! Every time she cut my hair I was in love with how it looked! I've unfortunately moved out of the area and am heart broken that I will have to find a new stylist. If I still lived PA I wouldn't trust anyone but Aubree with my hair! She is the best! The facility is very nice and always clean. I have never had any issue with Avante.

I have had hundreds of massages throughout my lifetime and I have to say that Jesse has been my favorite so far. She is extremely knowledgeable and has a sixth sense when it comes to areas that need extra attention. She found spots on me that I didn't even realize hurt and she turned my body to liquid. I highly recommend her to anyone that wants to have an amazing massage experience. I promise you will not be disappointed!

My husband had an 8 am appointment and the stylist didn’t show up. Literally just didn’t show up. He asked if someone else can accommodate him and they said no. They didn’t even apologize. Horrible service will not be going back and will tell everyone about their lack of professionalism

By far the worst salon I've ever been to they double charge your account and wont pay you back! The hair color last 2 weeks and they never listen to how you want it done. They will chop your hair shorter than what you tell them. AVOID AT ALL COST WORST MANAGEMENT AND STYLIST. DOUBLE CHARGED FOR THE WORST STYLE N COLOR. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First visit to Avante last weekend. I was amazed by how relaxed I felt after a 30 minute "mini" massage - there was nothing mini about it. I'm schedule to have a full massage next weekend. I also love the shape of my nails from my manicure. My nails were in desperate need of some TLC.

Moved into the West Chester area less than year ago and needed to find hair salon. When researching salons, Avante came up with excellent reviews so decided to try it out and I'm glad I did. I got a Living Social Deal for a $99 Spa day at Avante and was pampered all day long. From the massage to the manicure to hairstyling I loved every minute of it. The facial was absolutely amazing. My skin was blemish free for weeks after just one treatment. I will definitely be going back here and taking my bridesmaids along with me. Can't wait!

I had eyebrows waxing all the time there but that will need to change now. My regular girl left and the 3 ladies that still there either have leave my eyebrows uneven or have ignored me when I tell them that I have sensitive skin and I get burn easily with wax. I had scars for 2 weeks since they use wax, l will not return. I have tried all three so I have no hope. The haircut and coloring is ok.

I was recently at this location for a cut and facial. I had never been before, and I walked out very happy with each service. The cut was exactly what I was hoping for - she used a technique I hadn't seen done on my hair before. Everything turned out great. I hadn't had a facial in years, so that was both needed and very relaxing. She did an amazing job. I would come back for each service again.

I have been going to Avante for a number of years now and have never been disapointed. I have used the spa for massages and waxing services as well as the salon for my regular hair cuts and styings for events. Avante is clean, stylish, and very welcoming. The best compliment, I even took my mother there for a hair cut when she was visiting from out of town. She had a great experience as well and even considered planning her visits around her haircuts.

I went to Avante for the first time yesterday, and I absolutely LOVED my experience! I was greeted by pleasant staff at the front desk, who welcomed me upon signing in with cheese/water/coffee. My stylist, Jody D., really took the time seriously to do a thorough consultation with my hair before she cut it. She did an awesome job, and definitely had a lot of compassion for her job, as well as talent. I can proudly say that I will return to Jody and become a regular client.

Avante did an excellent job. I just started going to the West Chester location. My sister-in-law and Mother-in-law both go there and had nothing but good things to say. I recently had my first visit and it was great I had to reschedule due to the weather and they were great to work with to handle that. Then I finally had my appointment and I love the work. They have so many services to offer. I had a cut and color by Shelly and she was awesome. The people there are really friendly and I am more than satisfied with my hair. I will definitely will be going back when the time comes. I would recommend this to anyone looking for somewhere to go for hair for a reasonable price and high quality.

Terrible customer service. I made an online booking for an appointment and received an e-mail with the details. When I arrived, they said it was no good because no one at the salon called me to confirm. I was stunned and showed them the email. To no avail with the employee. I sent an email to the owner via the contact page and no one has responded to acknowledge this.

I started going to Avante Salon about 3 months ago when my Hair Dresser Jody moved there. I am SO happy that she did! On top of her being the best hair stylist that I have ever had, Avante has to be the best Hair Salon I have ever been too. You can enjoy a glass of wine and cheese and crackers as they start with your hair. Couldn't have been happier! The salon is chic and sophisticated and not stuck up at all. It's not over priced at all either. I always walk out a happy girl! Side note: my neck always hurt at other salons when they wash your hair out, but here, the shampoo bowls move with your head a little so its easier on your neck! Thanks Avante! Reba Bone

It all starts with the always courteous girls up front at check-in. Then it switches to the incredible shampoo team which gives the best scalp massage ever. Next is the hair stylist team that has cut my hair perfectly time after time and finally back to the extremely attentive girls up front to schedule my next visit. We had recently moved to the West Chester area and were still getting "settled-in" when my husband surprised me with a gift certificate to Avante. He had found Avante online and had read the many recommendations. My first experience was a hot stone massage and it was wonderful. The clean atmosphere, skill, and professionalism of the staff was exceptional. The second, and most recent trip to Avante was for a haircut. While the stylist was relatively young, she had a great personality and was able to produce results similar to the salon I had before we moved. One aspect that stood out the most about the salon visit was that the stylist did not try to push any products.

I first visited Avante in August 2014 and I'm not sure why I delayed for so long. Kara Larkin, a personal friend ahs been a stylist there for years and numerous close girlfriends of mine have consistently gone to Kara. Living in Roxborough/Manayunk there are plenty of salons to choose from and I have tried them all. It wasn't until I started working in West Chester that I reached out to Kara and Avante to give it a shot. I LOVE how Avante has numerous ways to reach out to them, the online booking and also calling features are great especially for someone like me who works in an office all day. Beside that, let's me real, Kara is literally a gem and an extremely talented individual and if I must say, Avante is lucky to have her! When I walked in Kara hugged me and was genuinely excited to work with me and sat down to talk about the look I wanted to achieve. She went above and beyond my expectations and I didn't need to spend my life savings. Even though she is a friend, Kara was more than professional and I also noted the other stylists were professional in their demeanor as well. The salon was gorgeous and the girls at the front desk were warm and inviting. I'm calling today to book my second appointment for my touch up. Thank you Kara you are unbelievable and keep rocking out and thank you Avante for keeping her and the salon!

Lauren is an incredible stylist!!! Just moved from Philly to West Chester, and needed my hair color evened out (from a previous disastrous experience at Salon Chemistry in WC.) Lauren knew exactly what I wanted, was extremely creative and professional. She handed me a glass of white wine and fixed my hair to perfection. My boyfriend and I bought the 'sweethearts escape' package for Valentines Day. We really enjoyed our massages from Kat and Kate who were really great! They specifically asked us which areas they should focus on and it was extremely relaxing. We also received express facials which were hardly 'express'. I figured the facials would be 15 minutes at most but they were at least 30-40 minutes. It was a great surprise! The last part of our package was to 'enjoy champagne and light refreshments over a soothing foot bath as you both relax'. We had a 5 minute foot bath but unfortunately there was no champagne or refreshments. It seemed as though this portion of the package was rushed along. The champagne and refreshments didn't ruin the trip for us but at the price of $365 (plus 20% tip), we were hoping to get everything we purchased. Understandably we came on a really busy day - Valentines Day - so they needed to move us in and out as quickly as possible. I feel we didn't get the attention we would have received on any other day of the week. I would hope that if we return, we would feel differently about this.

I went for my birthday and got a Supreme Facial and a hair cut with a deep conditioning treatment and blow dry. I was unimpressed and disappointed with the facial; so sad because I was really looking forward to that. I am accustomed to getting some real amazing, soothing, and pore cleansing facials with essential oil massage and this experience left me wanting so much more. All was redeemed when I went for my hair cut, deep conditioning treatment and blow dry. The stylist took her time in asking what I needed and delivered just that. I went back that same weekend for a massage which was truly everything I hoped for. The massage therapist really paid attention to where I have the most tension and I felt wonderful by the time it was over...too soon! I was so happy with my hair cut (hard to find places that know how to cut naturally curly and ethnic hair) that I made an appointment for my daughter to go get the same service. I am looking forward to heading back for another massage. Overall, very happy I found a location that caters to many of my needs and is close to my home.

I went for a hair cut. I asked for lots of noticeable layers. I even showed the stylist two pictures on how i wanted my hair. She didnt even come close to giving me what i wanted. She literally cut one layer going across the back of my hair and that was it. And it was so uneven . Looked so unprofessional. I will never go back. Waste of 50$ + tip. Would love to show the manager a picture of my hair so they can see how unprofessional it looked.

I typically visit Avante Salon & Spa for waxing services. I find the staff to be friendly, efficient, and experienced enough that I always leave satisfied. I have received leg waxing from both Jenny and Sue, and they are both great! I have been to other salons in the past for leg waxing and never returned to the same one for a second visit until I came here. Now, this is the only place I go to for my salon & spa needs. I recently moved from the Coatesville area to the King of Prussia area, and I still drive to Avante when it's time for my next leg wax. I'm considering trying more of their services soon.
