They are very friendly here...a bit on the "dirty" side lol but I never had a bad experience getting my hair done. The girl that always does my hair is Sophie (not sure I spelled it right) but she is very personable and does my sew-in and braids nice. Please be aware, there is also a African braiding shop next door called Mariame (sp?), DO NOT go there!

This place is okay, prices are high. I moved to this area from NJ and these prices are way too high. $50 to wash my hair and get linked braids for a wig braid down. Without the wash it’s $40.00 and I didn’t get synthetic hair added into my braids. They do a good job but it’s a little pricey. I will go back considering I don’t feel like driving to NJ to get braids done. guess they can charge these prices since they are the only place I know that does braiding in the area.

Literally will never come here again, I paid $80 and I took it out as soon as I got to me car. They were so rough, which is to be expected when braiding but I have a cut and am bleeding that is unnecessary. Will never return and warning anyone with none textered hair

My husband and I gave the lady who owns the place instructions of what we wanted and she did what she wanted. We asked for asked her for certain lengths and she did it the length she wanted. We asked her to burn the ends and she dipped them in hot water. We asked her all hair to be black and when my husband came home he noticed she used brown hair in the meddle and every time my husband told her what she wanted she knew what she was doing we were never so disrespected and undermined in our entire lives if you go there know that you will spend the money she will do whatever she wants and she will rush you to have another customer and he had to take it all off when he got home we were literally rob by this woman she doesn’t even deserve this one star but they don’t have lower options

Great service from Neneh & her sister - ladies keep up the good work. Ask for them ....I suggest that you get there as early as you can, don't park on Penn St. to avoid paying the meter, & take drinks/snacks instead of running to the local stores. Stay put & just get your hair done and if you feel they're pulling too tight use your mouth & speak up!

I took my daughter to Haajas on Penn st. Next to Mariammes, apart of the whole going back to school time. Well the lady that did my child's hair did listen to my request about not pulling/grabbing her edges to tight to bubble. Although when I asked about "a going back to school special" the price she gave including extensions was the same price they give all year round. So as of that day I recommend having find someone who enjoys the art of hair braiding, also can better communicate to make sure your needs are met.

I am very pleased with my hair! I am Caucasian, and I know my hair is silky and hard to work with. They did a fantastic job! My hair came out great!! I was so worried that the braids would be too tight, but they feel great! I got micro braids done. All the braids are very even and my hair isn't too long to deal with. Thank you to all the lovely ladies who worked on my hair!! I will be back !

It is good when you get the right one to do your hair. Sometimes there is some ridiculousness going on. I like to come in get my hair done and be out. Too much distractions going on causing it to take longer to get your hair done. I guess I would say they need to focus on the customer. But is alright to get your weave or braiding done again depending on the braider.

A lil pricey, styles don't last long, and the individual braids can take your hair out, from the root. No interaction between client and stylist, and when they talk to each other it's mostly in their language. Some will change the price on you after they're done...

Refused to give me what I wanted. I had this style of braids done to my hair before and they told me it wouldn't look good. Even thou I got it done somewhere else before. Never going back. Spread the word.

Horrible Service and very rude, they charge an outrageous price and don't even wash your hair to compensate for the service amount... they tried charging me 80$ for simple box braids and then turned it to 30$ when I told them that it was way too expensive... and midway into my braiding she started to eat Chinese food and made me wait an extra 30 minutes. To top it all off she did the braids completely wrong when I had shown her a photo of what I wanted 5 times. Never again. Find a more professional spot.
