Approximately a year ago I was in desperate need of a new stylist. I had previously been a Paul Mitchell die hard but when we moved to the Gorge I could not find anyone who listened or colored my hair the way I was used to. I went to FB for suggestions and was told about Pearl Aveda Salon and specifically Rachel Niemela. I contacted her and she got back to me very quickly asking for picturw of my current hair and what I was wanting done. My drive was an hour, but I didn’t mind if Rachel was “the one” I was looking for. Well as I stated above it’s been almost a year and Rachel is “The One”. I love the color, cuts and conversation. My 7 year old has had to go with me on occasions & she is so good with him he just loves her. I am very grateful for this lady and Highly recommmend her services.

The salon is very quaint and comfortable. The atmosphere is very relaxing from the comfortable chairs, to the lighting, to the music playing. The stylists are great st their craft and very personable and fun to talk to. I haven't been disappointed with the salon in any way and will continue to go there.

I would absolutely recommend this place. I sent a message to them back in March about a week and a half before my wedding because it was not working out with the girl I had initially asked to do my hair. Jenni got back to me and squeezed me in for a hair trial the week of my wedding and I loved how it turned out. She was super friendly, sweet and very accommodating. She even washed, blow dried and straightened my hair the day before my wedding to make it easier the day of - free of charge. She came out to the place where I was getting ready the morning of my wedding and my hair turned out amazing. And it was for a very reasonable price too. I loved my experience, 5 stars all the way.

Charissa is amazing! Very professional, listens to your wants and needs, offers ideas, and provides amazing customer service. I have been coming to Pearl Salon since they opened over 3 years ago and it is beautiful and relaxing. Gorgeous pearl colored paint and calming music. She does high quality work and I particularly get my hair colored, cut and she does my extensions! I get lots of compliments on my hair! Love this place!

09/06/2018 Overall Atmosphere Expertise Service I went there to have hair cut today. This is a very run-down place. It should not be called a 'Salon' at all. Hard to find. New opening I guess. They even don't have a sign. The girl Catilyn, in late 20's is the only person working there. About 100 sq. ft. space and dirty. The hair dye was mixed in the coffee filter with dye left-over all over the filter and the sink is filled with all kinds of junks and trashes. Wait for 15 minutes for my turn. She did not say sorry and did not have any apology attitude. I think this 'Aveda' is faked. I cannot imagine that Aveda would give her a certificate and having a run-down salon with Aveda's name. The most ridiculous thing is that I tried to make myself comfortable sitting on the chair by criss-crossing my legs. Catilyn dared to yell at me saying put your legs down as though I had to be respectful to her by sitting straight in her place. This is the worst salon I have even been in my life. Don't waste your money and avoid this shabby salon !!!

Ally is wonderful. She listens to your needs and offers suggestions and products. The salon is set in an industrial space, but once inside it is very tranquil and inviting. I would highly recommend Pearl to anyone looking for a great, high quality salon.

This place was a terrible experience all around, absolutely terrible. The first time I had my hair done, the girl butchered it. She left chunks of color everywhere, didnt seem to understand the basics of cut, style, color, or even styling. Please keep in mind that I am not trying to bag on her abilities, but I've never seen a stylist charge that much for what seemed like someone who just started training. She was going to let me leave with half of my head not fully dyed. This place was by far the worst hair experience of my life, and I am an understanding person. After having my hair butchered, the manager at least offered me a refund and a correction, for which I paid the same price I initially did (over $100) for hair that I barely had needing correcting. Time passed, and I decided to leave a review. It's very clear to me that Aveda products are the worst products to use for coloring one's hair. After the color began to fade, my hair underneath started to turn yellow and brass colored. That doesn't even happen with a box color on my hair! I would never recommend going here. Ever. The photos provided are of the first screw up prior to having it corrected (or what lasted for sometime before the awful Aveda products turned in my hair). Please be warned and do not go here. Further, to add to the experience. The stylists seemed to down play my experience with the stylist who destroyed my hair. Not okay, ever.

Pearl salon is the only place that I will trust with my hair, I always leave with exactly what I asked for and I have been going for years. I am always offered coffee or tea while I wait and all of the stylists are all so sweet and talented. I have never been disappointed.

Unfortunately Ally isn't well versed with curly hair. I asked for basic vertical layers, which she gave it a good try. Luckily I was able to find a proper Artist that knows how to blend layers. So sorry I couldn't give you 5 stars Ally! Perhaps Aveda offers refresher courses?

I would like to share my experience at Pearl, both because it was a wonderful experience and also because I was another client who happened to be in the salon on the same evening as the client who gave the nasty 1star review with all the complaints regarding Caitlin. I was there when Caitlin took the call and kindly fit the woman into her schedule that same evening. The salon was not dirty, did not have trash around and Caitlin was very kind, although quiet. I’d like to address one other thing specifically: if you’re getting a haircut and your hairdresser asks you to uncross your legs there is a legitimate purpose in that, which is that you cannot get an accurate haircut when you are not sitting straight-come on!! That is a completely understandable request. I listened to this woman ask Caitlin to fix or change several things on her hair and never once did Caitlin disagree but kindly and gently did her best to appease her. I know all this because I was the only other client in the salon and Caitlin was cutting her hair between my color and cut. In conclusion, I hope if you’re still reading this, that you can understand that for whatever reason this woman was not happy with her visit, it is completely unreasonable and untrue. I walked out that evening with a gorgeous rose gold balayage color and a fresh new cut, thanks to Caitlin! I wish you many more happy clients, Pearl, and keep your chin up, there will always be a “sour apple” here and there when you’re in the customer service industry!
