I have had my hair colored here several times and it has always turned out great. My problem is that the service has been declining. The students are great but the last two times I went for a color they didn't have any color. The first time it happened was weather related and that I get. The second time though had nothing to do with weather. I was also upset that they knew they didn't have any color but didn't bother to call and tell me not to come. I took off work early and fought major traffic to get there on time only to be told they were out of color. The student was awesome and tried to help me find somewhere else. The other problem I have is that the students are always not showing up. I have had 3 appointments cancelled because the students just don't show up. It is very frustrating!

This happened a while ago but it still was important enough that I think people should take it into consideration before coming here. I’ve come here twice. The first time was for my fiancé’s prom and then next time was two years later for my own. Things went great for my fiancé’s prom and my hair looked great. My own prom however was probably the WORST experience I’ve ever had with any salon in my life. I called over a month in advance to make an appointment in attempts to make sure they had enough room for me and didn’t have spots fill up as it was a Saturday. They call me the DAY OF to tell me that my student called in sick and my appointment was being cancelled. Little to no apology kinda just oh sorry you need to find somewhere else. You can imagine how difficult this is, literally every salon was full. After being hysterical trying to find someplace for over an hour my mother calling them and they finally somehow manage to find a spot for me. Basically it was someone who was completely open but they cancelled my appointment originally anyways? I wish that they had better back up plans to prevent this because in reality if I make an appointment with a salon for a big event way ahead of time, in the really world I expect to them to make sure this happens. The price difference is not worth the stress and unpredictability

This is about the 3rd time I’ve made an appointment for my son to see a barber. I made it yesterday for today and once again they didn’t even put him on the schedule. I wasted my time coming out there from Tigard once again. Being a single mom and doing it all this is very unprofessional. They have great barbers but they need new management!! I’ve made an appointment for myself and they call me the day of because my student called out of school. Don’t rely on your appointment.

Some people here are good at cutting, some aren’t not worth coming here even for the low prices, much better going to an ACTUAL barbershop where people are licensed and know what they are doing

I wouldn’t recommend this place at all I have gotten my hair done here 4 times and alll expect for once they have messed up my hair my hair now has huge split ends, and also very dry, different colors and horrible damage. The only reason I kept going was cause they had my hair color shade when I would get my roots done but the past couple times they have made my root color a different shade then my actual hair shade and also the most recent time they have made it purple from all the toner so not only is my roots a yellow orange color but also my hair is purple. Also before I got my roots done they messed up my name and my appointment and then couldn’t do it. The workers have little to no knowledge on doing hair and I know for a fact I’m not coming here anymore.

Si i had the worst pedicure in my life done there nwc beaverton everything about was not good i could have done a better job if i just painted my toe nails at home and saved my self some money.so the student was super nice but he just did a horrible job and then he couldnt even paint my nails his teacher came and did for him and as a teacher she failled it was a horrible paint job i will never go back.now i know it a school and they are leaning but what blew me away was when the teacher did such a horrible job.

I am a big fan of going here for a haircut and color. Yes, they're all students so they're learning! I haven't been disappointed with what I get done. I have naturally curly hair so that makes it more difficult for certain people. I'm planning on going back today. So there's a review on here that I have seen where this person is complaining about how much she hates her hair cut and color and she called the school, talked to a supervisor (teacher?) And now she's saying that she wants a refund for her unhappiness? Yeah, it sucks that you got a horrible haircut and the color isn't the best, but it doesn't work for anyone in the industry to have a 30 day refund policy since hair grows out in 30 days! If your time is so valuable, you should have come down to the school and gotten the answer from the instructor instead of staying on the phone for 30 minutes complaining about it. I can recommend a great hair salon. That's sucky that you haven't found someone who can do your hair since 1999. Adalaide Salon is amazing! It's on Hall off hwy 217. Turn right off exit, first light turn another right. First driveway. Suyapa Scott does the most fantastic things to hair. I adore her, she's been doing my hair for over 30 years! I hope this helps someone.

Using my bfs account because i dont have one. I went to get my roots redone i had blonde highlights, first off it took just over 4 hours to do. Second i still left with brassy hair you can clearly tell the area they did. And lastly i still have a half inch grow out right in the front. Only giving 2 stars because the girl was nice through the process and they did say i could come back in the next few days if im dissatisfied. But i dont have the time again. Will be going back to a real salon next time.

I go to school here.. currently. We never have the products we need. Its 58 degrees in the building and the owner of the school wont change the heat so the clients are leaving and us students are too cold to do anything. Were trying to keep warm by bringing space heaters and blankets from our home so we dont freeze.

Went twice. Once for a perm that they argued with me about blonde being my natural color, saying that I was a liar. The second time I went to get a design for my undercut. Sat in the waiting room for over two hours and no one gave me a reason why. When I threatened to leave they finally got someone for a trim the rest of my hair. At 3.5hrs I finally got my under cut done and the guy speed through it and it looked bad. P.s. I waited because I had someone else with me who was also getting their hair cut during the first hour

I had a really great experience here today. I was a bit apprehensive before booking because of all of the bad reviews I’ve seen. I’ll get the reasons I only rated it 4/5 stars first, the appointment time was 9am and they were a little bit late having me come back, they didn’t have the shine treatment advertised online that I requested at the time of booking and the fact that it was absolutely freezing in there. However, that aside, I was assigned Emily and couldn’t have had a better experience with her! She was attentive and very polite with the perfect balance of personability! I asked for settle highlights and a trim. She did a wonderful job and took her time and payed attention to the details. Just a heads up, cash tips only! I really wanted to tip her but didn’t have cash. But now I know for next time! I’ll definitely be back.

I went in to get a haircut and expected to get a average haircut but little did I know Los would cut my hair. Best haircut I have ever gotten in my life, came out looking like Michael b Jordan but better!!!Los is a really great guy, seems to really care about customers and is very passionate about his work. Had an amazing experience and will for sure be coming back to get a haircut by Los again! Would recommended this place to anyone!

I haven't had a problem with the student services. Cut and manicure good. It's the constant cancellation or time changes for services. This has happened almost every month for the last 3-4 months. As customers, our time is as valuable as the schools. Have one last appointment( sitting near by having to kill an hour as its happened again). I sense mismanagement, especially with the front desk.And probably a shortage of students. My time isn't worth what I save in dollars any longer, and after almost two years, have to look at other options going forward.

I've been getting haircuts @ Northwest College for almost 4 years and I'm always amazed at the talent they receive with the barbering department. Sure, not every student is gifted with cutting hair from the get go, but each one of them holds a element of passion. "LB" is one of those barbers that makes sure you leave happy and feeling great in your own skin. I highly recommend this place for anyone with an open mind that is willing to listen to the students stories.

This is a great place for me to come get my hair done. I’ve had nothing but great service here. The students are supervised every step of the way by the teachers so I always get what I came in for. And they’re all super friendly!
