I even went to cosmetology school and tried allowing others to do my hair and it was never ever as good. So needless to say after wearing bad hair for two years I called her back and got in her chair. NO one will ever do my hair again!!!

I had a higher expectation due to the great reviews, but was disappointed for a few reasons. I was given a very sweet but inexperienced hairdresser. Given the fact that I had long darker colored hair, I should have been given someone with more coloring experience alone. The cut was average with mistakes, I still have a long piece hanging out in the side somewhere. I went blond without highlights and wanted a sassy short cut. I have a bob. Nothing sassy about it. I have at least four different shades after I left, some peachy and lots of orange/yellow shades from bleaching it just once all over. I bought one shampoo and conditioner and after 7 long hours (there were at least two times where I just sat there waiting without anything being done, I spent a little over 300 dollars. That’s after getting 20%discount on the product I bought.

Kari is an incredible stylist and hair expert. My previous experience was 1) dyed my own gray roots too dark time and time again, then 2) went to another hair salon where the stylist there did a lot of highlighting over months to break up the dark. I was left with dark circle bands around my hair not blended with the highlights, hair felt like syrup it was so dry, and severe breakage on my top layers, literally only an inch long. Under Kari's careful care, my hair now looks gorgeous! It's healthy, shiny, and has an amazing natural color. I can't thank her enough.

The best salon in OKC area hands down. I fly 8000 miles twice a year to visit Kari at Duncan Brothers Salon. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and professional. Kari has been my stylist for three years and has always had the integrity of my hair as her top concern. Not only is my blonde hair in great shape, the cut and tone of it is perfect. I can easily go to salons in Dubai or Europe (and have multiple times for a blowout) but Kari at DB is the ONLY ONE I will allow to cut and color my hair. She colors it in a way that I can go 6 months with darker roots and light blonde hair thru the middle and ends. If you are looking for a new place and/or stylist, Duncan Brothers is the one. While I am not a salon professional, I do consider myself to be an experienced customer as I have been receiving color and other salon services for more than 20 years. I have ventured across the color spectrum, with varying styles and techniques. I have visited a majority of the salons in the Oklahoma City metro, but after all these years, my search is over. Two years ago, I visited Kari at Duncan Brothers on Penn for the first time. We discussed my hair history and what my future hair goals were. Her questions were targeted, and it did not take long for her to determine what I was looking for. The duration of my appointment was pleasant, and I left the salon with my hair looking better than I thought possible. While it is true that there are other stylists in Oklahoma City that are talented and can produce the color and style I desire, I will continue to schedule with Kari and to recommend Duncan Brothers for three reasons: Knowledge of staff, consistency in service, and professionalism in the salon environment. If you have spent any time on YouTube, it is clear than many people can obtain a beautiful, cool blonde color. But at what cost? I know that I can trust the health of my hair to Kari and that not only will my hair look fabulous the day I leave the salon, but my hair will continue to be beautiful and strong when I am styling my hair at home. I know that the best products are being applied and I feel comfortable asking questions about new products without the pressure to purchase. As previously mentioned, I have visited many salons in Oklahoma City. There have been several occurrences when I’ve been in a salon and there is a presence of drama or overall uncomfortable “air.” When I arrive for a salon service, I want to relax and enjoy the moment. The staff always offers me a beverage and not even the smallest details are overlooked, such as ensuring that my neck is comfortable while my hair is toning. Kari and the rest of the staff at Duncan Brothers are always professional. My appointments start on time and I feel that I am her priority. Unfortunately, I have previously worked with stylists that are consistently very late or spend a significant amount of time on their phone, increasing the duration of my appointment or letting my hair over process. If you want to receive excellent service, improve the health of your hair, and enjoy some time treating yourself, schedule an appointment at Duncan Brothers on Penn.

My daughter lives in OKC and needs a quality cut and color. After doing some research I sent her to Duncan Bros in Penn Sq for an estimate so I can send her the appropriate money with tip and to make the appointment for her naturally very curly, thick hair. I live near Chicago so I am unsure if the costs are comparable. The doors were locked with 20 mins left before closing. They had her scream through the door what she wanted and they told her they wouldn't help her. Not only was she humiliated, but they lost a potential long term customer.
