I want to start off by saying that I am writing this review on behalf of my sister. I found out about this salon last year by a friend who recommended me Taylor. My sister and I came to see her few times and we loved her work, unfortunately she is not working there anymore and the reason why we booked an appointment with someone else there. We talked with the girl prior the appointment and sent her pictures of what my sister wanted, which it was an ashy balayage and also sent her a picture of my sister’s actual hair color which it was a blonde balayage. The day of the appointment we asked the girl if the color my sister wanted was to light and maybe difficult to get that lighter tone and just to tell us if her hair was not going to get that light so she could change the color she wanted, and the girl said she could do it but she would have to use another product and the cost will increase another $20. The total price was going to be $190 and my sister agreed on it.
She started off working and when she was bleaching, my sister said that her head felt extremely hot, we asked the girl and she said this was normal which it was odd but hey, she was the expert or at least that is what we thought. To make this story short, almost 5 hours passed! Yes, 5 hours! And I had to step out for a moment, when I came back my sister told me she was worried about her hair. At this time the girl was styling my sister’s hair and when she was done the girl asked me what I thought about the color, I stood up to look at it and in the back my sister’s hair was wet, something that looked like a clump of elastic hair…It just looked like a big mess of tangled hair, it was sticky and burnt very burnt! When the hair is combed it breaks immediately. I asked the girl what happened there and she said that part of the hair had conditioner on it and that she couldn’t put heat on it, basically she was sending was sister home with half of her hair wet and very damaged. I want to note that she only charged us $70 for the products she used. At this point we were in disbelief of what had just happened to my sister’s hair, it was ruined! My sister also had dye in her forehead and ears to which we asked the girl to clean before we left and she just wiped off with a wet towel and the color obviously did not come off, she just sent my sister home like that. Now, this is the part where we probably felt most disrespected as clients and it was when the owner came to the chair and said “That is a beautiful color!” (excuse me!!) What about the mess your employee just did, what about the very damage hair on the back that was still wet? He said that was pretty normal when someone went that lighter and that the hair was going to get better in two weeks! We just wanted to run from there, never felt so humiliated before when nobody gave us an apology. I felt so sorry for my sister who was about to cry, she was sent home with a hair partially dry, burnt in the back and with dye in her forehead and they made it seem like this was normal. This is the main reason why I am writing this review, because they did not own up to their mistake, which it wouldn’t had made my sister’s hair better but it would had showed professionalism and job ethic from the girl and the owner. On top of all this, they suggested a regenerator product and in despair of seeing my sister so sad I bought it for $37. I ended up buying a product to help amend a mistake they made.
I am attaching some pictures of how my sister’s hair look now, almost a week later. I wish I would had taken pictures that day but we were very upset and I just wanted to come home to try to “fix” my sister’s hair a little bit before her husband came to pick her up.
It’s needless to emphasize that we don’t recommend this place to anyone.
