I have been coming to Lunatic since I moved here from D.C. in October. I am always terrified to find new salons and stylists BUT LET ME TELL YOU! I found Chloe Mills and she is AHHHMAZING! She knows her stuff and you can tell takes the extra time to perfect what she does and has a wealth of knowledge. She listens and gives her opinions and the end result is always beautiful. I am a forever client! The salon is so cozy too and everyone is SO friendly and accommodating! LOVE IT!

Greg Pugh has been my stylist since 1995. Even when I moved to Detroit I came back to Cincinnati to get my haircut. Every visit to Lunatic Fringe is a treat! After so many years I trust Greg 100% even when he proposes something unusual. During my last visit I was not sure what to do with my hair and he said: "How about the asymmetrical look?" I agreed and result was amazing! I am getting non-stop compliments for several days now eve from younger generation :-) Thank you Greg and I hope to be your customer for many more years.

I wish there was a sixth star because my experience with Lunatic Fringe, namely Ashley Olson has been just that! I used to "cut" my own hair and it ended up looking like a trapezoid. No joke. I was shown the enlightened path to letting an actual professional stylist not only cut but style my hair in a spectacular way. Never again will I butcher my hair, honestly it looks too good to mess up thanks to Ashley. Really folks she is awesome! Her warm personality and creativity are the tools she keeps beside her along with her shears, combs, and other instruments that I have no clue what they do. Better that I don't.

My boyfriend fell in love all over again because of the way I looked when I left the salon- so I contacted her about purchasing the products she used. I've been going to Lunatic Fringe Salon for about a year, and I absolutely love this place!!! I have always had difficulty finding a stylist because I have curly hair (medium-length). Usually, salons will say they have someone who specializes in curly hair, but when I go, I quickly find out otherwise. I was a walk-in my first time at Lunatic. The associate at the counter recommended that I let Audrey cut my hair since she has curly hair herself. Even though I was skeptical, I'm so glad I did because she is the BEST stylist I've ever had!!! My hair always looks amazing after she cuts it. She also blow dries it straight using a round brush, and it looks great. No burning it with a flat iron! I highly recommend this salon. It's a very clean, organized, and hip place that treats their customers like friends.

First time visiting the salon. I came for a color and cut and have had poor experiences with color on my hair before so was a bit nervous. I chose Haley to be my stylist as I saw some of her work on her Instagram page. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and when she was fininshed, it was better then the picture! I was so happy I came to this salon and Haley did such an amazing job. To top it all off, it was pouring down rain outside when I got done and I didn't have my umbrella. The manager of the salon was kind enough to walk me all the way to my car with his umbrella. What a great place to be! I will definitely be coming here for all of my hair needs from now on!

I had the best experience at this salon! When you first walk in the waiting area is pretty tight but they are very welcoming. The offer you a beverage when you first arrive. I was lucky the Saturday I went it was before cinco de mayo so they had margaritas. Sooo good! My stylist was Kristina and I couldn't of asked for anyone better. She was super sweet and gave me great advice. I knew my hair looked atrocious and not once did she make me feel bad about myself. I was also able to get a hair mask since I was a first time customer so that was nice. The shampoo lounge is very calming and the little arm and hand massage was perfect!!! I can't wait to go back in two months! My hair looks and feels amazing! My photos are my hair curly and straight, the cut is so versatile!!

I really enjoyed my experience today at the Lunatic Fringe Salon in Sharonville, OH. It had been so long since I had a haircut, and I knew I needed to get the dead ends trimmed off. I was able to use their convenient online form to request an appointment for this evening and they were able to fit me in, which I really appreciated since many salons make you wait so long for an appointment. When I arrived, I was greeted by the owner Greg and he offered me a complimentary beverage, which is excellent customer service. This salon seems to really go above and beyond to make sure customers are comfortable and happy. My stylist was Paige and she was really great. She was so friendly and personable, and she made me feel really at ease. I enjoyed chatting with her as she did my hair. She seemed very knowledgeable about the products she was using. She used their new Kerastase products, which left my hair feeling really soft and smooth. The shampoo also smelled really floral and amazing which I loved. I think that my hair looks great, and I was really happy with the experience. This place definitely deserves five stars because not only do they do great hair but they also have excellent customer service and a comfortable atmosphere with great ambiance. I definitely plan on returning when I need another hair cut.

I am extremely grateful for Demisha! I had a hair emergency and she saved the day. I had managed to get my hair in severe knots hours before a formal. Demisha worked for nearly an hour trying to save my long hair using various products in an attempt to get the knots out. Sadly, the knots would not come out so she ended up having to cut my hair. I ended up with a very beautiful chic new look. She also styled my hair for the formal and I received compliments throughout the night. The customer service and style were superb. I will definitely be coming back.

I've found my new salon! I was a walk in on a Thursday evening about 45 minutes prior to closing time. I asked if they had any availability for a cut and they sat my right down. I was offered a drink and it was brought to me almost the second I sat down. Trina asked exactly what I was looking for (a cleaned up feminine looking mohawk) and she got to work. She shaved down the sides first and then shampooed my hair. Can I just tell you that the head massage that Trina gave while washing and conditioning my hair was seriously the most relaxing thing...and I get a massage every couple of weeks! Lunatic Fringe is a great little gem in Sharonville. Everyone is beyond friendly and I cannot wait to go back. They have the Olaplex treatment that I hear is pure magic! Thank you Trina and everyone at Lunatic Fringe. I'll be making my next appointment soon!

Very disappointed how I was treated on phone and how unreasonable the owner is. Just thought I’d share my experience for other people considering this salon. I am new to the area and was in need of a color and cut in a major way! I normally depend on the comments from "the top ten salons" when doing a Google search each time we move. This is how I came across the Lunatic Fringe Salon. The staff at this salon are more than just employees, they are now like family because that is how they treat you the minute you walk in the door. My stylist was Paige who is adorable and fun but most importantly she actually listened, gave her ideas and between the two of us, we were able to come up with a very nice solution to my issue! """MY HAIR"""(which was a scary mess) Needless to say I walked out feeling younger and beautiful!! To add to the fun they have a separate room that they wash your hair in that plays relaxing music.... You all know you love the hair washing and scalp massages that you get when going to any salon, the dimmed lights and music takes it to a whole new level!!!! I am a huge baby and have tears every time I have to get the eye brows waxed Ashley did them for me and I had NOT one single tear!!! Jeannie and Greg who were also there that day were a hoot to talk with! I will not only be a regular at this salon but I recommend it to anyone who might be in need of some pampering.....

Easily one of my absolute favorite hair cuts of all time! My hair not only looks amazing but it feels so much healthier. Everyone was so friendly and kind I couldn't have felt more at home. If you ever want an amazing haircut, I would highly recommend Paige and this salon to anybody!

Walked into the salon on a whim and made an appointment, but with curly hair there's always the chance that the hairstylist won't understand and you'll come out with a bad cut. Not here! The stylist talked to me and actually listened and understood! Great experience, great haircut, good prices, and extremely welcoming and friendly staff! You really have to check Lunatic Fringe out!

After 3 years of regular service, high dollar services, a new stylist wrote down the wrong day of my appointment and they charged my credit card 180.00 without even telling me. I always texted if i was going to even be 5 minutes late. I sent thank you cards. Always called to cancel as far in advance as possible unless I woke up sick and had no advanced notice. I didnt confirm for the day she wrote down. I know when I made the appointment for because of my work schedule. However when I called about the money being gone (at rent time!) Greg wants to bad mouth ME!!! I wasn't happy with the new stylist, if you charge 65 an hour you need to be able to make more than 8 short dreads in that hour. And it should look something close to the picture. Which it did not. I'm appalled that after 3 years Greg would not only lie about me but would do this at all. If you have this policy that's fine. But you need to make sure clients are aware of it. Then you need to give a first warning. And most of all you better make Damn sure you're right. Which Jackie is NOT !! My appointment was for Friday which is why I didnt confirm for Thursday and called to cancel on Thursday for Friday. You don't "protect" your stylist at the expense of your clients. Especially ones that went out their way to praise the shop and even hand out their business cards !!! If he thinks I'll ever step foot back in there he is sorely mistaken.

I had such a great experience at Lunatic Fringe! Everyone who works there is super nice and knows what they are doing. For my first visit, I scheduled with Paige. Paige is awesome at what she does and made me feel comfortable when I was coloring my hair for the first time. She did an incredible job. I left feeling like a million bucks. During my service with her she even gave me tips on how to recreate the style on my own at home. I’ve never had a stylist do this for me before. I left with my hair looking exactly how I wanted only better. She also did an eyebrow service for me. She has an incredible attention to detail. I am so grateful I found this salon! JACKIE HARRIS IS AMAZING AT CROCETHING DREADS!!! I have totally caucasian hair- fine, straight, etc. I had started my dreads with backcombing, and after 6 months, got tired of waiting for them to look good. Someone (mixed descent) came in to my work with beautiful, blunt tipped dreads, just like I wanted. He referrred me to Jackie. Here we are, 2 sessions with her later, and I am in love with my hair! She got them crocheted my 1st visit, retouched and did the blunt tips 2nd visit. I HIGHLY recommend anyone, of any hair type, see her for dreads! She also does halo extensions, dread extension with human hair even! And she is the sweetest girl ever! Can't wait for my touch up appointment! Please give this salon, and Jackie, a try! I havent had my hair cut at a salon in years, i have always maintained trimming off my dead ends myself and i was really nervous going to get it cut because I love my long hair and have been growing out the length and shape for 4 years. part of the reason why i don't go to the salon is because i knew this would happen, even when I asked and emphasized that i ONLY want a trim on my dead ends and to not take any length off because i want my long hair, i thought she understood. i can't see what she's doing behind me but i ended up with 8 inches off and it cut straight across and uneven on each side. She didn't even bother shaping my face in the front so it's all the same length, my bangs and the rest of my hair. i had hair down to my waist and now it's just below my shoulders which will take another four years to grow. This is the worst experience i've had at a hair salon ever and it makes me scared to go anywhere again
