Went with my daughter to get our nails done. My daughter wanted white tips but the technician forgot and gave her regular nails. When she was done the nails looked ok. We left and not 20minutes later one of her nails broke off and the polish on some of her nails smeared and looked awful. She ran to a regular salon and paid to have them removed. My technician was very new and I was the 3rd person that she had ever done nails for, I was considered her model. She did state that the nails would not be perfect, so I was expecting so so nails. I got the white tips but instead of tips half my nails were white. Granted I do have small nails and can make doing my nails difficult. The shape of the nails was to be round but they were so uneven that when I went home I had to refile them to get them even. Woke up this morning and lost one nail and a few hours later another popped off. Got so ticked off I took the rest off We paid $18 each when we were told over the phone that since we would be models it would be $10 each. As friendly as the technicians were we won’t be going back. I will stick with paying a higher price and get nails that will stay on longer than a day.

My hair nightmare come true. I came in for a trim and a color. My hair had already been previously lightened to a blonde and I was trying to go to a balayage with brown on the top and fade into a platinum blonde. The student I saw was very unprofessional and after 3 hours of being there, I left with YELLOW hair and a red copper top when it was supposed to be brown and fade into a platinum blonde. The student and teachers were both very rude when I tried to explain to them this is very far off from what I wanted. The front desk lady was also extremely rude and stated "well you know, it does take a few appointments to get exactly what you want." Might I remind you, my hair was already blonde and this should have been easily done in one appointment. I still paid for the cut and color as they insisted. I came in the next day for a redo so that this can be fixed. Two more students (different than the previous day) worked on my hair. They seemed to be more confident and sure of what they were doing; however, the teacher was once again very rude and stated "Wait weren't you in here just last night? You didn't like it?" MY HAIR WAS YELLOW. After an hour of coloring and rinsing once again, I was brought to the sink to rinse out the dye. During this process, the stylist realized she didn't have the right toner and had to search through all of the inventory to find it. This took an additional 30 minutes of my head being in a sink with soaking wet hair....waiting. After all was said and I done, the coloring was still very off. When I had left, my hair was near black at the top and gray. GRAY. Not blonde. I now have to pay another salon to hopefully reverse the damage done. Worst experience I've ever had.

I'm so disappointed not only in my experience but my cut as well. I have been going to salon schools to have my hair cut for years and I have never experienced the level of unprofessionalism and disrespect that I received on my visit. The student who cut my hair was extremely rude. Barely talked to me, yelled across the salon for an instructor, and carried out conversations with their peers about things I did not need to know about. On top of that another student said someone had lost $40 dollars cash and the student cutting my hair claimed it. After they claimed it they said to me, 'I didn't lose that money, but people are so dumb I mise well benefit from it'. Needless to say I was appalled and sat through the rest of my cut in shocked disbelief. To make matters worse I styled my hair today after washing it and the back is absolutely horrible. The layers will not blend and there's a distinct line between the shortest layer and the longest. I understand that students need to learn and mistakes will be made but coupled with a terrible experience and the fact that I left the salon feeling awful I had to say something.

Went it for a highlight and the front looked okay after a second time of bleaching because I didn’t like it the first Time. Once I got to apply moisture in my hair and put it in a bun, just realized half of my back hair is black and I have to go buy dye to do it myself. The lady who did my hair doesn’t know how to flat iron. She flat iron half of way through my hair instead of going from roots to bottom. The hair just doesn’t blend at all. This student is to graduate next month and should be able to show confidence when doing a customer’s hair, her lack of confidence made me uneasy the whole time and not trust what she was doing. My day is completely ruined because I could have dyed my hair at home or gone to a professional. Some sections of my hair were red instead of blonde. Hair is a complete mess and i am so disgusted cuz now my hair is ruined till I dye it gain. If a customer comes in and you are not confident in doing a style requested be honest and let them know. My hair is patch blonde and patch black.

I went in almost in tears because I had gotten my hair done at a different salon and it turned out tromendous. I went into the hair academy and Olivia saved my hair . She did an amazing job and I recommend everyone to go here . The facility is very clean and all the workers are so nice. Olivia listened to what exactly I wanted done with my hair and went above and beyond and made my hair beautiful again . I will definitely be returning !

The polish goes off my nail onto my skin and there are visible air bubbles on my nails and on the clear coat you can see she didn’t go around my whole nail. She also didn’t talk to me the whole experience. Not impressed at all.

This is a school, students are LEARNING, so if you can't tolerate a possible mistake, I don't recommend going here. Otherwise, it is a GREAT place and an inexpensive salon! Everyone is so nice, they treat you professionally & kindly. My sister, kids & I have been going here for years. I've gotten a couple of bad cuts (they will try to correct anything you don't like!) & some cuts I have loved, but have never had a problem with the service. Again, it is a SCHOOL, so keep that in mind when you schedule.

Had a bad experience a couple times ): first time I went to get my prom hair done & it took literally 3 hours. The instructor ended up doing my hair. Second time I requested someone 2 weeks in advance, drove an hour, waited 20 minutes for my apt only for them to tell me “she’s not here today”. I get it’s a school but cmon! Very UNprofessional academy.

I was just there with some friends and I asked for an all over color that was light brown. I have dark hair so when she used bleach I wasn't at all surprised. She gave me highlights. Don't get me wrong, it looks good. Just wish it was what I asked for

One time I went because I needed them to fix a hair cut that another saloon cut my hair bad, they fixed the cut to look good. The next time I went I wanted something new and a lot shorter then I'm used to doing. They did a great job and I will continue going back for every cut.

The first time I went and got my hair dyed black it was great was really happy with it. So why not go a second time right? NO DON'T DO IT! I called a week ahead and got an appointment and explained at that time I want to color my hair 2 colors. Showed up 15 min early checked in at the desk and than sat for 45 mins finally a tad annoyed I go back to the desk the girl at the desk say "what know way" she says she will find out what's going on. She comes back to the desk and tells some other worker that's at the front desk the girl that I was scheduled with was just stand there doing nothing! So finally the girl comes over and I go back after an hour now of waiting. I sit in the chair show her the picture of what I want done. She says I'm so excited to do this so sorry I was told you were a no show. So I was going to help other girls with their clients. I am like what!!!! So she goes and get an instructor and I show her the picture as well of what I would like. I wanted purple and black! After sitting there for 4 and a half hours I got the blue black hair and NO purple shoes at all why because it was not done right at all the girl bleached the part I wanted purple than washed and dyed my hair than tried to do the black and purple all at once no separation st all. So she gets done with coloring it all at the same time. At that time I said this is all going to be black she say this is what I was told to do it should work. After rinsing my hair twice cause she didn't get the dye out the first time. I have blue black hair! And on top of that I get charged 81 dollars!!!!! I even said to the lady cashing me out you have got to be kidding me after all this and charge me for toning to? I understand the people here are in school but seriously! Very very disappointed!

Kelsey did an amazing job on all over color. She was friendly and listened to what I wanted. I came in asking for the same thing 2 months later and another lady did it. She was super sloppy...getting my back wet, face wet while in sink and hairdye on my shirt. She wasn't friendly, also late in getting to me when I already had a scheduled appt. I told this new girl what I could spend...and how I wanted to keep it at $40 like the last time. Also wanted the same color. It ended up being $70. I shared how wrong it was for me to pay for extra that I didn't want or need. Some people who are here are scammy so you have to be careful who you book with.

Went in to get a haircut (close to closing, I will admit) and the woman who approached me gave me attitude and talked down to me. Although it was close to closing, I did not deserve to be treated the way I was. I simply asked for a haircut and was told "Uh, we close at 6." I knew it was close to closing, but did not assume it would take long to get my hair cut. I persisted and said "So... can I get a hair cut?" to which the woman looked at me incredulously and said "Hair cuts take an hour." Sure, I recognize that I was late, but I've never had a hair cut take longer than 20 minutes in my life. It it takes longer because of the fact that the employees there are students, I completely respect that, but your staff could be more professional and explain the situation in a nicer way. Very unprofessional... will be going somewhere else for my services.

Went in for an eyelash extension fill....the girl glued my eyelid shut after I specifically said to be careful. The technician in training AND the instructor then spent the next half hour poking at my glued eyelids with tweezers. However, not to worry, the receptionist offered me a lofty 10 perfect off of my expensive service to assure my return. Never again.
