I just moved to NC. My hair cut was fine. I came in for a trim. I wanted to find a stylist that I feel comfortable and trust before I decide to do something drastic. Susan was my stylist. My hair was washed, trimmed and blown dry. This cute young women had ZERO personality. Never said One word. The only thing she actually asked me was how I wanted my hair cut. The girls at the desk where so nice!

Where do you go in Wilmington to take care of all of your beauty needs? BANGZ, of course. Where they are now offering spray tans and I am excited about getting my first one at Bangz. Now I have my stylist, my esthetician, my nail tech, my massage therapist, and my tanning stylist all under one roof. Conveniently located to my office and appointments are typically on time with the schedule. No complaints here, only praise and gratitude! Well, ok, I do have ONE little complaint....... can we get a poured concrete parking area with lines, in the back because when people park in gravel (women in sandles) when you are really packed, it tends to mess up freshly painted toes, and hurts!

I literally only had my hair trimmed, not even shampooed, and it was $50. Way over priced!! Great Clips could have provided the same trim for$14. I tipped $10, because I believe in tipping well, so I spent $60. Won't be returning.

Worst experience I’ve Ever had- if you value the health of your hair I caution you to beware- I only color my hair three times a year, my hair was in excellent condition when I started my appointment at Bangz- I was left with color on my hair for over an hour and as a result my hair broke at the scalp- I questioned while having my hair blow dried why so much of my hair was falling out in clumps- I was told that hair goes through growth cycles and as a result falls out more sometimes depending on the growth cycle- ARE YOU KIDDING ME- This salon is known for over booking, which is what happened in my case, leaving my hair to “process” for a ridiculous amount of time- When I private messaged the stylist weeks after the appointment reporting the condition of my hair, I was told to come in and purchase anti snap treatment- Save your money and your sanity and find a salon that values its clients- or prepare to deal with hating your hair every time you look in the mirror- Wish I had known

Not only did Hunter give me the best hair cut i have ever had but he is outgoing and fun to talk to. Not the usual awkward forced conversation. He was present and seems like he loves what he does . The gentlemen who cut my sons (1 year old) hair took almost 2 hours, then charged a ridiculous price with it looking almost no different. Think they should invest in getting their hairdressers more practice in technique and time management, rather then the tacky set up they have going on inside! Not all the fab it’s cracked up to be!

When I made my appointment I specifically asked for a service and was assured that the manicurist was able to fulfill the procedure ....that was not the case...Kim was very nice and helpful in making me happy and for the most part I am..... the price for a pedicure is a little high....it was just a basic pedicure...no art work....the front desk is busy...I found one person to help me but she was busy with her phone!!! Oh well...new to area... I'll keep on searching!

I came in for a hair cut and asked for a long, wavy textured lob (long bob). I showed my stylist a picture of a girl with hair that touched her shoulders. I walked out with a straight edge bob that sits an inch under my ears. I am still shocked and extremely upset. It is the worst hair cut I have ever received which was a shock, because the first time this stylist did my hair he did a good job. he cut it so short that it’s impossible to work with...I legitimately would have to cut my hair into a pixie cut to fix this. He also put thinning shears throughout all of my hair (and my hairs not the thickest)...so now, naturally, it looks crazy and frizzy. You can also see through my hair. I called the salon and they suggested to put me with the same stylist, I refused and will NEVER return to this salon. Bangz refused to issue a refund even though the photo I showed, is clearly not anywhere close to what I wanted. For every person who has told me my hair doesn’t look “that bad” I tell them where I got it done. You lost my business and several others through my word of mouth because of how bad this hair cut is. Also due to the businesses lack of understanding and not reimbursing me for a horrible hair cut nobody should have to pay for. It is a hack job. If you’re reading this review take it from me personally, save yourself the heartache and go somewhere else.

When I expressed to her my dislike in the cut, she just "gave it more texture" but it looked equally bad. I felt like they were just ready to close up and go home, and did not care about my concerns.

I got my hair dyed twice here-and I didn’t like it either times. However I had done some bleaching myself so it wasn’t what i considered the main issue-meaning it isn’t what stopped me from returning. The thing that bothered me is that I never got my hair combed there. Like each time I went, after my hair was washed, styling began... while my hair was a rats nest. I didn’t say anything Becuase this was my first real salon expierence (with dye) and I dumbly thought “idk they know best, maybe they blah blah”. Both times I went home I ended up redoing my hair cause it was so knotty. I have medium thick curly hair btw and it needs to be detangled or it’ll get matted. I thought about going back a third time, but the thought of me requesting my hair to be combed made me cringe. Especially since I was suppose to go in for a hair cut. Maybe this place just wasn’t for me. I’ve gotten my hair done at other salons(cut and styles) and I never felt as sheepish as I did here. I tried really hard to like this place but coundnt

Had the worst experience with eyelash extensions. Yuliya the “eyelash professionalist” Charged me $200 for extensions that I was not even satisfied with. She did them her own way instead of my way, longer and fuller. I told her I was not satisfied with what I got. She responded the worst way and very rude. Not professional at all! Therefore I did NOT get a refund. I’ve read some of the bad reviews about a phone call being returned. I guess that doesn’t happen. I was expecting one from the manager, never did.

my roommate and I are new to the area and have been dying for new cuts! we searched online for 2 days on where to go but we ultimately decided on Bangz and we're so happy we did! we called around 2:30pm to see if they accepted walk-ins and they gave us both appointments for 4:30 that same afternoon! we were so pleased with the atmosphere and both of our hairdressers! and the price was very good for the quality of work! we’ll likely be making this our salon in our new town!!

I have been visiting this high end salon for twenty years. My most recent experience was incredibly disappointing. Appointment was scheduled for the wrong day. Offered a different technician who didn’t seem to be trained in brow waxes, wasn’t familiar with the room, couldn’t find proper tools. I paid a ridiculous amount of money to barely have my brows touched, but due to her seeming inexperience, I was afraid to ask her to do more. After years of amazing service with Ken, I am so frustrated and disappointed with my experience today. If you are going for a brow wax be sure to see Ken and don’t accept an offer to be seen by anyone else if your appointment is messed up.

I had an appointment on 12/07 to get my hair and makeup done for my first ever and last Marine Corps Ball. I simply asked for curls. Hair and makeup looked good when I left the shop, however before I even made it to the ball, an hour later, my curls had completely fallen out and my hair looked like a hair sprayed mess. After a week of trying to get my money back, I was informed that I could not get a refund because “it was raining that day”. I can assure you that my hair did not get wet, and also that I will never be returning to Bangz for anything in the future. I paid $110. Totally not worth the money at all. Go somewhere else if you want to feel beautiful and confident at your event.

I am so happy with my hair! I received a terrible haircut at Ulta two days ago and I was told that it could be fixed by a stylist named Chrissy at Bangz. She told me that there would be no problem fixing my hair. My hair was uneven from one side to the other, it was choppy, and it only had layers in one side. Chrissy told me that she could make it look smoother and not so choppy. During my service she was constantly talking to other coworkers, talking to customers, and complaining that she was double booked for the day. When she finished with my haircut she tried to curl the ends under so that I would not notice the choppiness and the uneven cut. My hair is still choppy and when I told her I did not like it she did nothing about it. She told me that I would have to wait until my hair grew out or buy a straightener to curl it under because she could not fix it. She lied to me about being able to fix it. I left the salon crying because my hair was so terrible and no one said a word to me. They did not ask if I was ok or anything. This place is terrible! Do not get your haircut here! Terrible customer service and everyone was extremely rude when I told them how I felt. They still made me pay the $50 charge even though Chrissy did a terrible job! Do not take your chances here! They will argue with you if you tell them that you do not like the cut and tell you that you are wrong! Worst customer service that I have experienced in Wilmington!

Horrible experience!!! My husband set up an appointment with the owner Linwood for a special day to get my hair cut and highlighted. He has over 20 years of experience and yet the original highlight job looked like someone in their first year. The highlight was at least 2 inches from my root and looked two months grown out. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and let him attempt to fix it. He reprocessed my hair with more blonde and now my whole head is blonde not what I wanted at all. The best part is that after the reprocessing my hair is dry damaged and looks like it is melted away at the ends of each highlight. Can you say rookie mistake??!! I am no hair expert but that is why I put my trust in him and never once did he make a suggestion against what he was doing! Now my hair is far from what I wanted and is so damaged that I now have to cut it all off. To make matters worse I went in for the fourth time in an attempt to get my money back and came face to face with Linwood. Lets just say he has no sense of business because the whole time he told me that I was wrong and that my hair looked that bad the first time I came in to see him. He tried to bully me out of the store with 100 dollars worth of product or conditioning treatments! An overall awful experience and I will not be back. I highly suggest that you like twice before putting yourself in the hands of Linwood.

Saw a stylist named, Brooke and she turned my awful color that Rock N roller gave me 5 different colors into the most beautiful color. She cut 5 inches off my hair and although I was very sad to lose that much hair, she pointed out to me how Rock N Roller had fried and broke my hair off so bad that the only way to fix it was to cut it. My husband loved my hair so much and said I look like a new person. Highly recommend this wonderful salon. Drove an hour and a half one way and was worth it.
