Ananda West is hands down the best salon I've even been to. All of the stylists are very talented and friendly. I love that they call take continuing education so seriously. You can definitely tell in the quality of work. Ronnie was able to get my hair the exact shade of red that I wanted. The atmosphere is great too! Very artsy and interesting and I love that they offer beer, wine and coffee. All around great place!

Kim has been cutting my hair for years. I would always recommend her. It's a cool, comfy environment. They have tea and coffee and magazines in their waiting area. Gps doesn't take you to the right place though but the receptionist was super nice when I called and was lost. GPS says it's near the round about, but it's next to wedge brewing in that big parking lot. It's super nice that they have their own parking. All the quality of downtown ananda but a way more convenient location. And they have student discounts on Monday and Wednesday!

Ronnie has, hands down, been the most extraordinary stylist I've experienced. I put my hair in his hands and he made it beautiful.

One of the best haircuts I've had. Teryn was knowledgeable and really knew how to work with my wavy hair for the best cut. I only wished I lived closer so I could make her my regular hair stylist! In addition they have some wonderful products that have made my hair feel amazing and the salon smells incredible!

I Really do not like having to call a stylist out on his work. I would much rather that the salon do the right thing and refund my money. As you will see in the screenshots they are refusing. I paid 65.00 for a cut in April 8 at west location. I brought a picture, had a consultation and clearly agreed on a cut with the stylist. See pictures to see how it turned out. Huge chunks of hair gone from my head....2 inch difference between layers with noticable cut marks. 2-3 inch difference in left and right side of my head. Not just a bad haircut...we have all had those. But literally butchered my hair. *Google won't let me upload photos but I will figure out how to upload on other review sites and share. Trust me when I say that my hair is butchered. The salon refuses a reund but will gladly 'fix' it. I wouldn't let anyone in that salon near my hair again. Don't be fooled by their term 'master stylist' it means nothing. Just more pretentious facade from Ananda

This is an okay salon. The fees you pay support its trendy-appeal. I went through 2 stylists who both left. My 3rd stylist was nice, but after 2 cuts I'm pretty sure she was not listening to what I wanted. I ended up with hair cuts that I had to wait weeks until I was comfortable with my hair again. I waited over a year to have my hair cut again and have since found a smaller salon that caters to me, not one stylists idea of me.

Bre Powers is a rock star!! My wife was referred to Bre by a work colleague and loved her visit with her. On my wife's second visit she had our 4 year old son with her and Bre graciously worked a cut in for him as well (kid's cut $25). My wife came home and said I, "I made an appointment for you with Bre" (the subtle suggestion that I needed to get my hair cut). I have only been once but Bre is my Asheville stylist, hands down! Not only is Bre great, but the staff is awesome and welcoming as well. I went early so I am glad they didn't offer me a beer, but they did offer coffee in a chic (what looked like hand made) coffee cup :-) And yes wine/ beer for clients of age are offered during the days/ evenings. Cool vibe, great location (one of two in town). Ladies (cause I know the guys aren't reading these)... if you want your fellas to get a great cut for a reasonable price ($35), hook him up with Bre. If I could give zero I would. One bad experience ruins it all. I went in with blonde hair. I wanted to add light brown to the blonde mixture. I came out COMPLETELY a dark brunette. And my natural is obviously still showing a lot on top and its lighter. Aslo have extremely light blonde highlights. Some yellowed. I got my hair done 5 days ago. I now wished I had spoken to a manager about the situation. So now I have 4 different colors in my hair. And the bottom looks like a skunk. Thanks for ruining my self confidence until I can get it redone again ELSEWHERE.

Over the past 3 years I'd been bouncing around Asheville stylists, always with mediocre results. I made my first appointment with Hanna a few months ago and she's amazing! I usually go after work, and the whole crew makes me feel welcome... like meeting friends at a bar after a long day. I have never had a bad experience at Ananda! My last two cuts and color from Kimberly at Ananda west were the best though! She understood exactly what I wanted and gave me a very versatile cut. Everyone at Ananda is very warm and welcoming. On my last visit I had an amazing shampoo and scalp massage from Ari that left me super relaxed. I highly recommend them!

I have my gray roots colored and a haircut every 4 weeks so after I moved here I tried Ananda West. The first visit went well, I was upgraded and up- charged to a stylist. The meet and great went okay I told her my hair tends to bleach out in the summer and my former stylist pulled some color through once in a while. I also told her I always try to heed the advice of my stylist, that turned out to be a mistake, So 2nd visit she pulls color through to eliminate too much blond (no up-charge). 3rd visit she said "I want to try something with the color", okay (so the trust, right?) That was a BIG mistake! ($50. extra) She added highlights, hmmm since you just toned down my sun highlights, why add them?? Money I guess, There was no mention of the word "highlight", there was no discussion of cost or how long highlights would take to grow out. Maybe I was just due for a bigger bill. I have waited 8 months to post because I didn't want to post angry, but turns out I still am.

I had the most AMAZING EXPERIENCE EVER at Ananda West yesterday! I recently moved and was terrified to try someone new for my hair! I never thought I'd happen to end up with someone that gave me the best cut and color I have ever had!! That incredible someone is Shane Boone!! I have never been so happy with my hair!! To top it off, after my appointment, I had 2 people at the store ask me who does my hair. Not only is Shane wonderful with hair, he also so kind, so genuine, so fun and he actually takes time with his clients and is able to create exactly what you are looking for. His assistant, Kris, was an absolute doll as well and took superior care of me. I've probably rambled on too long now but I am just so impressed with the outcome of my hair and the service I received yesterday! If you are looking for a place to get your hair done...you've found it!! I will be a lifelong customer because of Shane and Kris! Thank you both for your expertise and hospitality!
