Brought my 8 yr old daughter in to have a major cut - she wanted to donate her waist-length hair. The salon is cute and conveniently located. Katie, the stylist, was an absolute gem! She took time to ensure my daughter was comfortable with the length and style. Her vibe was warm and sweet the entire time. Everyone on staff made my daughter feel very special with her new look! Next time we are in the city, we will DEFINITELY make another visit!!!

Timothy and David have a top notch salon with a fun and creative vibe in a perfect location. I’ve been going here for as long as they’ve been open, and, full disclosure used to work the front desk years ago. My current stylist is Caitlin, and she’s just the best in listening to what I want, and then delivering every time. I’ve done both cuts and color and I’m always in love with the results. Probably the best thing about the salon is their education program for the stylists. Timothy and David are passionate about providing their stylists the education and tools they need to stay on top of trends by having classes every month with industry leaders. This is the best salon!!! Look no further.

I am pretty sure she can read your mind, because every time I want something done I can describe the color to Caitlin and she knows exactly what I want! She gave me sun kissed highlights that really compliment my skin tone. When I walked into work the next week all my co-workers wouldn't stop telling me how much they loved my new look. Finding a good place to get a men's long hair haircut has been challenging however I loved my cut at Timothy John’s! Christine at the front desk was so helpful (and has neat colored hair) and it’s right in midtown - so easy to get to right near the subway. I will be heading back when I need my next cut.

I love Timothy John's Salon!! The entire is staff is friendly and knowledgable, and I especially love dealing with David when scheduling my appointments. He has a great personality and always works with me to find the best time. Timothy is masterful with hair. His color is absolutely gorgeous, and he does the best highlights ever!! I also love his haircuts and feel like a million bucks when I leave the salon. They carry top of the line products too. This has been my go-to salon in NYC for years. The location is super convenient. They are on West 53rd street right off 8th Ave. You can easily walk from multiple subway stations. Get your hair done and then head to dinner and a Broadway show! It's perfect.

I got a referral from a friend to see Caitlyn. I came in with four months worth of grey roots and brassy highlights after not having had my hair done over the last few months since I was dealing with some medical issues. Did I also mention my hair was pretty damaged at the ends? The poor woman really had her work cut out for her. We discussed what I was looking for (touch up roots, tone highlights and cut off about an inch of damage, cool medium brown toned hair as the end result) and over the next couple of hours she worked her magic. My grey was completely covered, highlights were fixed seamlessly and she cut my hair so that it had length and movement while getting rid of the damage. I've had some previous bad experiences with thinning shears, but she used them expertly at the very end to finish my cut after I was blow dried. Only reason I didn't take a photo was because unfortunately it was pouring out the day she did my hair. There was a little frizz when I left the salon but that wasn't her fault. Overall my hair actually held up surprisingly well given the wet and windy weather that snuck under my umbrella! The salon is cozy and nice, relaxed. Not a super luxe environment, but they get the job done very nicely. Overall I was really happy with my results and highly recommend Caitlyn!

I've been seeing Dawn at Timothy John's since circa 2007. Since 2011, I've been living in Boston, though I still see her -- I take trips back to NY, sometimes for this purpose alone. When Dawn first cut my hair I felt like a proud caterpillar metamorphosing into a monarch. And that's a serious statement. I hadn't realized that such a transformation with hair is possible. As always, Jodi made all of my hair dreams come true! She has been my stylist since I moved to Brooklyn two years ago, and there is no one on this Earth that I trust more than her! Whether I’m going for a cherry red ombré or dark brunette with a touch of cinnamon, Jodi is the queen of color and fabulous cuts. I walk away from her chair every time looking and feeling like a queen. I highly recommend Jodi to anyone looking for a trusted stylist. She listens to exactly what you want, then works her magic to create beautiful hair color that you didn’t even know was possible! This was my first time at Timothy John’s and I absolutely loved it. The salon is beautiful and all of the other stylists were so nice and friendly, as was the gorgeous lady at the front desk with the lilac hair (sorry I didn’t catch your name!) I have been coming to Timothy John's Salon now probably ever since they opened in Hell's Kitchen Midtown Manhattan. Timothy and David have always created a welcoming professional atmosphere sprinkled with laughs and tons of smiles. I feel absolutely confident in putting my hair in Timothy's hands when he cuts and colors my hair. The undercuts are always intricate and clean and the color and highlights make me feel like a super Rock Star. I always get numerous compliments from strangers on the street regarding my color and then they are even more wowed when I show them the undercut and color. Timothy and David are always extremely helpful with introducing me to new products to keep my hair healthy. My last appointment they introduced me to their power shot which is an amazing deep conditioner that left my hair silkier than ever! I truly would not know what to without them. They are simply the best!

I've been coming to Caitlyn for years! She is amazing and the rest of the crew is too! I'm typically there for 3 hours a month (my type of hair and process is longer than the average person) and I sit and watch the other stylists create amazing styles. It's a very intimate atmosphere. No matter who your stylists is, you'll be in convos with everyone around you and they are all hilarious. The best thing about this salon is that they never ever push products or upsell you stuff. They give you options so that you know but they don't push at all. They also ALWAYS tell you how much something costs before you get it done so you don't even have to awkwardly ask. They want you to feel as comfortable as possible!

I needed a fresh new look and a change but wasn't sure where to go until a friend told me about this place, so I took a chance. From the very beginning, from the phone call to make an appointment until I walked out the door...I felt like a King. I was booked in with Jodi, a Brilliant, Talented Hair Stylist / Colorist, all round Awesome lady! She took the time to initially consult with me and discuss different approaches. Never at any time did I feel rushed about making a decision. Other than wanting Black with Red highlights, I had No Idea on what look to go for. Jodi read my mind on my indecision and simply said, 'Trust me, I got this' - so I did - and she did - Amazing ! From the Color to the Haircut to the overall Hair Styling - Brilliant ! Best I've ever had. Extremely High Quality work. I won't be going anywhere else. Do yourself a HUGE favor! There is nowhere better !!!

Feliciano is my go to stylist and he knows exactly what I want every time. He can seriously do it all. Hi All! I’ve been going to this salon for years at this point, and it just keeps getting better! I’m one of those people who can never decide if I want to cut my hair or keep the length - it’s like picking out a nail polish color, am I right?! Anyway, when I sit down in Katie’s chair, I basically look at her and say “I don’t know what to do, you figure it out”. She smiles and laughs, and gladly accepts the challenge.
