These guys have reinvented my entire look, I went from long hair to a pixie cut and will never go back. Mirko and the team of stylists including Alex and Adriano are the pros in their field. It's always something new and creative. I trust them so much that I let them decide on the cut and color, because they know what looks good on me better than I can.

I had not had a haircut in over 6 months and my hair was heavy, long, lifeless and I was ready for a change. Thank goodness for Tahlya Loveday! She not only listened to what I wanted but asked good questions so that we could figure out a cut that would be fresh and fun for summer but functional for me (since I don't spend that much time styling my hair). She was really personable and made easy conversation, the time went by quickly. I was happy with the cut and felt transformed! I was not blessed with great hair. It's fine and frizzy, mousy and grayish...but not anymore! Owner Clyde has managed to breathe new life into this mop--giving it style, bounce and flair with a cut that is easy to maintain over time. We have experimented with different lengths and different styles over the years (yes, I am a long-time devotee) and each time I walk away thinking it couldn't be better and I couldn't be happier. My colorist, Mirko, artfully keeps the gray away and makes subtle changes depending on the seasons. And to sweeten the experience even further is the square of delicious milk chocolate that comes with every cup of coffee. This place is well worth the visit!

I've been going to Clyde for 5+ years and have loved my cut every time! He is hands down the most detailed oriented hairstylist I've ever been to and it shows. I am frequently asked where I get my hair done and I've referred at least 4 people who now go to Clyde and love him too. Everyone at the salon is extremely friendly and professional. They offer you a drink as soon as you walk in the door and give the greatest head massages when they shampoo you! HUGE PLUS! I highly recommend.

Completely incompetent reception staff and disappointing experience overall. I had been going to see a stylist there for some time and when she left on maternity leave nobody reached out or referred me to another stylist or took ownership of her book of business. Really disappointing. For what they charge, I would expect a little better customer service. I had to spell my last name 3 different times to two different people, zero insight or consideration to my past history at the salon, and lacking total common sense on all fronts. Never again.

Had a wonderful haircut with Tahlya! The entire experience was lovely and everyone at The Drawing Room was extremely professional. From the very beginning she was friendly and caring. She listened to my haircut ideas and then was able to give great suggestions based on my face shape. She was extremely knowledgable and gave me a bob haircut and showed me different ways to style it. Not only did she show two different styles, but she also explained how to do them at home and had product recommendations. She truly understands how to cut someone's hair based on their face, what type of hair (fine, thick, etc), and style. I'm excited for the next haircut with Tahlya! UPDATE! Just got another haircut with Tahlya and it was a wonderful experience again! She gave me a fresh look (photo with the peach blouse) that's up to date and fun. She decided to add a side braid which was such a nice touch. Tahlya also gave great advice again about how to take care of my hair. She's now my go-to person for all my haircuts!

This review is for Talia! Thank you for the haircut! It is shorter than I expected but I kind of like it. Talia was super friendly and pleasant. It was hard to find the salon (in the evening), I came in freezing and was offered a hot tea right away. The whole staff was super nice. I think I finally found my go to salon!

You wrote a review for The Drawing Room New York Yesterday 5.0 star rating 2/9/2019 I have been to countless salons, schools, hacks, and professionals in search of someone -- anyone -- who can work with this hair and make it, well, work...and more to the point make me feel confident because there's nothing but truth behind the saying "Never underestimate the power of good hair." I sat down in the chair, said "Make me look sassy, classy, and fabulous," and let them do their thing. As soon as I left the salon I went straight to work at a place that has over 50 employees and thousands of customers. When I say my co-workers stopped what they were doing to complement me on my new look I would be under-exaggerating. I had people come up to me hours later and say, "So THIS is what everyone is talking about! You look AMAZING!!!" But the real moral to this story is not just about the style and the color and the keratin treatment I got (which is a MUST for anyone with frizzy, rain-fearing, humidity dodging hair). It's about the people who made it happen. They were kind, funny, knowledgeable, professional, and attentive. I felt like I was the only person who'd ever sat in their chair and that I mattered to them as a person...as a real human being. Don't walk...run to get your "harrr did" at The Drawing Room!! It'll be one of the greatest investments you'll ever make in yourself!

This salon is beautiful and I had a great experience. I went from long hair to a pixie cut. I must say I didn't think it would look good but I have received tons of compliments. I would highly recommend this hair salon in SOHO. I gave it one less star because the consultation was a bit too detailed, but I guess that could be a good thing for someone very picky.

I saw Adriano for a cut to help me grow out a buzz cut - no easy task since my bi-racial background leaves me with very curly hair. Adriano was great - he listened, asked questions, explained what he was doing and, most importantly, he did exactly what I wanted and needed for my hair. I will definitely be going back!

The dynamite duo, Alex & Mirko are amazing. I was very nervous about coloring my hair, but Mirko gave me professional advice on what would look best and put me at ease throughout the whole process. Finished product was a sultry balayage that held its color well for months to come. When Mirko heard that I wasn't 100% satisfied with a cut from weeks prior, he introduced me to Alex who gave me a complimentary cut in 15 minutes to make up for the mishap. The layers complimented the shape of my face, my ends look fresh, the whole look was bouncy yet effortless. Needless to say, I've been going back there ever since. Customer service is top notch, and being here is a real treat.

I have curly hair and I was looking for a change, but I didn’t want to go to a specific hair salon for curly hair because I was not in the mood to be driven by this “new trend”, so I decided to try a new salon and I booked an appointment at THE DRAWING ROOM. The salon is in the heart of Soho, easy to find and only 2 minutes walk from C and E trains, 5 minutes walk from 1 train and also 5 minutes walk from W, R, N, Q trains. The salon looks minimal, modern and very welcoming: I booked a color change with Mirko. Well, Mirko is the best hair colorist I have ever met (Trust me, I met so many in my life): he was so kind, so accurate, he explains me the process and suggest me the best color according to my complexion and eyes color. The result was stunning! I also took advantage to have an haircut and try also this service. My hairstylist was Adriano: I had an haircut just 2 weeks before but he fixed it giving my curls more definition and he proceeded with the best curly blow dry I have ever had! I can say for sure I have found the best salon for my hair: I recommend you all THE DRAWING ROOM, even if you have very difficult hair, because they definitely know how to take care of every type of hair! I had come over on holiday and had noticed the excellent reviews. I had Tahlia who did an amazing job, thank you! I don't usually blow dry, unless I'm going out. Interestingly Tahlia asked me if I dried it, wanted movement etc. She figured I needed something low maintenance, with a slight wave. I've been very impressed, it falls naturally in a wave!

Great salon. I went in with a super grown out balayage ombre and dead ends and they took me from drab to fab for sure. Adriano taught me about the products he was using so that was really nice and he cut my hair perfectly and exactly how I asked for it. I had some time between my color and cut so they we're very nice about keeping me happy with beverages and even threw in a conditioning treatment. I love this place. So happy my boyfriend bought me a gift certificate. Will be back

First of all they are all super friendly and very service orientated. I went here with my friend to cut my hair and get it colored. Her results were amazing, but I sadly can’t say the same about mine. I asked for an ashy tone and a colder tone for my hair which is originally warm light brown colored. I showed my hairdresser a picture of a girl with a bit dark but cold brown hair and told her I liked the cold tone in it, but I wanted it not as dark. I ended up as a (very) dark brunette. When they asked how I felt about my hair I told them I thought it was too dark. They explained how my hair would get a bit lighter after some rounds of showering and that my color would match my roots. But I did not ask them to color my hair the same as my roots, I just wanted to keep my light brown hair, just in a colder tone. I decided to let it be for a day so I’d figure if I felt the same about it after a while and I still did, so I sent some emails explaining how I felt about the result. They told me that the girls hair in the picture I used as an example was taken in a different light so it looked a lot lighter in the picture, and thats why my hair is quite darker than hers, even though I told them I wanted her cold tones, not her color, just a cold tone but as light brown as possible. They also explained through an email that if I wanted ashy tones (as I asked for) I would have to bleach my hair and then color it with a gloss - but they didn’t ask me if I’d want to do that when I was there. I felt like they were defending themselves all the time instead of listening to me and try to help me get the style that I wanted. They said that If I wanted to fix it then I could come back and bleach it and to the gloss as my friend did. She bleached it and did a grey gloss that took 7 hours because of her thick hair. She paid around 400 dollars. They told me if I wanted the same the price would be as hers, even though my hair is a lot thinner than hers, with a deduct of 95$ that I paid for my session. To end my review I just feel a bit disappointed. I wish I’d was offered the possibility and especially information about how to get my hair in an ashy color and I hoped they would’ve put more effort in helping me out. (( I do not want to attack or offend this saloon I just want to tell how I felt about my experience )) They are all super friendly and the saloon itself is clean and welcoming. They ask you if you want any water or coffee every 30 minutes, they even put a slice on lemon on your glass! I would recommend this saloon even though it didn’t go so well for me, but be clear about how you want your hair to turn out and describe as good as you can.

My first online review. I have been to salons all over NYC, and can say the Drawing Room (quote; DR quote;) is the best. I have paid more at other salons for worse cuts and colors and lots of faux luxury. DR is about delivering results at prices that are reasonable. It is about results. Every detail of decor, tools, down to robes has a logical function - white robes for cuts to articulate the hairline; black robes for color to avoid discoloration. The owner(s) is there on site, overseeing all for quality control. It is a serious place for people with exacting standards and little patience for incompetence or indulgence.

This salon is amazing! I got the best cut and color when I went into this place a few weeks ago. Colorists Mirko Vergani and Cutter Adriano Cattide gave me exactly the look I wanted. I was trying to get my over processed faded blonde back to a rich copper and Mirko was able to do that on top of giving it more depth. Adriano was very patient with the fact that I am particular about my bangs and layers. It is really hard to find someone who knows how to cut fringe well and he is great at it. I would recommend this place and go back to it for sure.

I’m so grateful to find Christian to take care of my hair color! I was looking for a subtle touchup to cover my previous balayage when I first went to the drawing room. Christian created a perfect transition between my natural dark roots and colored hair. He also added highlights just around my face to make the look different and flirty (which I loved and got many compliments from my coworkers!) Since then I only go to Christian for color changes, and HE GETS IT EVERYTIME :) The salon itself is very clean and modern. Their mirrors are one of my favorite Instagram prop haha! All the staff are super friendly and attentive-but Christian is hands down one of the most talented hair colorist in Soho ❤️

Eric is one of the best hair stylists i have ever met. I've been to other hair stylists last 10 years only to find my hair damaged and ugly. Erics reccomended magic straight perm, I was so happy to see the resuts. My damaged hair improved and it got so silky.
