Me gustó bastante el ambiente, Las peluqueras son muy chevere y el Capello me lo dejaron bastante bien. Volveré cada semana. El unico invoveniente es que el dia que fui no eataba la propietaria del salon entonces no fue posible pagar con credit/debit card. Pero apesar De esto lo recomiendo a todas Las chicas del area y a Las que no tambien.!

Phenomenal! Don't want to classify this establishment as a "Dominican" salon, as it is so much more. This salon, or should I write, the owner, was highly recommended by a fantastic, and very persnickety, friend with exquisite taste. It took a minute, or two for me to make the appointment and decide for myself if indeed this would, be a repeatable experience, and an appointment with Ms. Xi was made. The salon is intimate, yet capable of addressing a myriad of people wanting to leave the place fabulous! Within, there is warmth (no, not from the dryer) ebullience and camaraderie that brings you in and makes you feel as entrenched in the atmosphere as old time patrons do. I have been a customer for some time and have recommended this salon not because it meets expectations, but because they exceed them! And, the surprise will be yours when they quote you the price after you look in the mirror, for the prices are reasonable! Honest, too! People bring photos, clippings, ask for opinions, all answered professionally and truthfully! Ms. Xiomara and her professional staff are up to the task to help you realize the look you want. It does get busy on those 'gotta get this hair done' days. Come anyway, bring a book, I mean your mobile, and keep your eyes and ears perked- you may want to join in, listen/laugh at little pearls, or just fall back and put your headphones on. Although they endorse products, they will not whelm you with requests for bulk purchases. There are also the daily salon specials, which are great. Miss Xi has a following from her previous place and it is very likely that you will find yourself hearing someone talk about the search to reconnect with their favorite stylist. Most importantly, there should really be a before and after gallery. Everyone leaves feeling relaxed and looking fabulous! I should know, I travel 2-3 hours to spruce up my sexiness with Ms. SexyFlow! Pardon the length of the review, really love having Xi lay hands on my hair!

Unfortunately, I agree with some of the other reviews that are posted here. I had a special event to attend at 2pm, and booked a blowout/curl appointment for 12pm. When I walked in at 12pm, there were four customers being taken care of and two stylists working. There was zero sense of urgency or time keeping. In fact, as I waited to be seen, one of the stylists pulled out her lunch and started eating it. She even made a plate for one of her customers (I assume she was a regular based on their interactions) and served her. Yes, I’m serious. This is right when my appointment is about to start, and while I was still seated in the waiting area. At around 12:15pm, while she was eating, she looked over at me clearly getting antsy, held up her finger and rudely said, “give me a minute”. It was kind of unbelievable. At around 12:20, they finally got around to taking care of me, but they barely said anything and it was obvious that they thought I was rude or in the way or something. Both stylists barely spoke to me, and I felt tension as a customer. Weird. My hair is super fine and I told them to please put a lot of product in it, as that’s the only way it would hold a curl (I request this at every blow out I get, as I obviously know my hair and what it needs. It’s never been an issue). I could tell that they didn’t put in enough product before I left, so I sprayed some more hairspray when I got home. Unfortunately it didn’t help, and by 3pm my hair had completely fallen out. $70 down the drain. It’s possible this place is great for its regulars, but they seem to have to no interest in building new clientele. I won’t be back.

I took my daughter to get her ends cut and her hair blow dried, her hair was not cut even! I had to fix it at home. ( I AM NOT A BEAUTICIAN) and I did a better job. They charged $54.00 for that. I don't recommend this place.

The WORST customer service EVER! I came for my birthday today because this salon was highly recommended by two of my friends. I told the stylist how I wanted my hair style for my birthday night and she questioned it in a negative way like if the style I wanted was worthless. I had mentioned to her it was my birthday and my stylist had announced it out loud. Then I see the owner yelling happy birthday and gave a glass of champagne to everyone except to my friend and I. I asked her if could have a glass and she declined to give me a glass after she clearly heard me. Instead she yelled and I wanted to buy a bottle which was not true. She then questions my ethnicity and common knowledge of my culture. Then to top it off while we were waiting in the blaring music they were playing, my friend asked if she could have water which was physically visible in the lobby area and the receptionist tells us to our face - straight out lying that they did not have any water. The worse service and experience! This was my first time and definitely will be my last! I will never step foot again at this place and I will not recommend a soul!

This was my first time at the salon and I have to say it was beyond my expectations. I walked in with no appointment desperately needing help with a highlight job gone wrong from another salon the day before. When I walked in I was greeted with smiles all around and the owner (Xiomara) asked how could she help and I explained and showed her the disaster that was my hair and she immediately told me what needed to be done and that she would do her very best to right this wrong. She put me at ease and started to work her magic. The wait wasn’t long at all. They honestly work like a fine oiled machine. What took me 9 hours at another salon took under 4 here. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The interaction between the clients and hair dressers are great. I absolutely loved the results. This will definitely be a regular spot to visit and pamper my hair. Thank you Xiomara for doing a fantastic job on fixing my hair.

This place is a dominican salon that doesn't know how to do straight and normal hair. They are not professionals. Bad work and pricey. They burned my friends hair with the blower and the flat iron. Never go to this place again. Not recommended. In 14th Street they have better hair salons with more professionals and more affordable
