Martial Vivot has become a must for me every time I'm in town. I absolutely love it. I typically opt for a haircut, color, and full shave. My stylist is Jérôme -- a master craftsman. He knows how to style a man's hair to fit the shape of his head and face. Moreover, he also knows how to properly administer a shave with a straight-edge on very sensitive skin. (Other places have left me looking like I face-planted in a stack of needles.) A full array of hair styling, shaving, beard trimming etc. options are available. Only the finest products are used, some of which are custom-made. I love the shampoo, conditioner, and styling paste. You can even enjoy a complimentary spirit (yes!) or tea in the waiting area or during your treatment. In short, Martial Vivot Salon is a service-minded oasis of men's fine grooming. A man walks out of there looking his absolute best.

If I could give a higher review I would- I love the atmosphere, the people are amazing and my stylist Ricky is the best. Never had a better person cut my hair and joke around the whole time! Everyone should go there for a haircut!

The staff is so welcoming, gracious and always exhibits the right level of friendly hospitality in a relaxed atmosphere. Beware of them adding unauthorized tips to your debit card!!! When I finished up they said I was good to go without signing anything and I tipped in cash. Then when I got the bank statement in the mail I saw he added a 200% tip to my card. When I called them up the manager accused me of being cheap and said I should pay the $200 tip because I'm an investment banker making 6 figures a year. Totally ridiculous and I won't even mention the fact that I think my jacket was pickpocketed while it was in the coat check. Stay away as they obviously do a horrible job vetting their employees. This is New York City and instead of getting mugged on the streets or in a train station I get robbed at an alleged 5 star salon. What a joke this place is!

I have visited my share of high end salons in Manhattan over the decades. There is no better than Martial Vivot. Simply put, Victor has given me the best haircuts I have ever had. The staff is friendly, professional and respectful. The Salon, itself, is classy and immaculate. I highly recommend.

Katy was thorough in her knowledge of styling and maintenance and the haircut itself was the best I've ever had. On the expensive side for a men's cut to be sure, but well, well worth it.

I rarely write reviews, but I did feel the need to express my considerable satisfaction after having visited Martial Vivot. First and foremost, the haircut and Martials expertise go hand in hand. For the first time in years, someone actualy told me what to do with my hair when I left to make it look good every day. The haircut was the perfect compliment to my face , Martial knows what to do with what you've got (regadless of what that is). The overall experience was relaxing, pleasant and the entire staff is very accomodationg and pleasant. I highly recommend Martial and would not hesitate recommending anyone who cares about their apprearance and hair invest in a visit.

Ahhh, Losi. What can I say. I am not one to be impressed by the roster of A-list Hollywood celebrities she has worked with (after all, I am no celebrity myself and let's face it: the likes of Gyllenhaal will look great no matter what's on top of their heads), but I am quite particular about my haircuts so no short-back-and-sides at a barbershop for me, thank you very much. Having moved here from London several years ago and having tried (with varying degrees of success) to find the perfect stylist, I set foot inside Martial Vivot after booking an appointment with Losi. Call it what you want: maybe it's how she just /knew/ what style would look good on me without me having to ask for it. Maybe it's how she worked /with/ my hair instead of against it. Maybe it's how my new cut looked amazing afterwards whether or not I chose to use product on it. Or maybe it was the generous helping of top-shelf liquor I was offered during the entire experience. One thing is certain, however: after walking out of there with the best haircut of my life, I am never letting another woman touch my hair again!
