LaReina is the bomb ! She's been cutting my dad's hair for a while now & she finally did my hair today! She's super friendly & is committed to styling your hair exactly how you want it. She even pulled out an iPad and researched hairstyles for me! Amazing.

I was honestly disappointed! expecting more for the money I paid. Its so hard to find a great hair stylist in this city and the one I had at this place was not great by any means. Nice person but not an experienced hair stylist. At Laicale I felt rushed, I was really hoping my stylist would of listened to what I was asking for (we talked before beginning) but instead they seemed very distracted, rundown and busy rushing through the appointment, trying to get the job finished as fast as possible so they can move on to the next customer. The vibe of this place was more about making money then satisfying their customer who had to cash out a lot. The style I received was worth $30 max. Not worth it. I can't recommend this place. I have no idea what I paid for! Now i have to go somewhere else to get it redone! All I have to say is that if they charge more it doesn't mean its better. A very expensive lesson learned!

I recently moved to New York and found Erol. I really love my curls, but have never found anyone who could cut my hair to enhance the curliness instead of subdue it. Erol totally got what I wanted and then made it happen. Some of the stuff he was doing seemed very odd, but the results are fantastic, and not just after leaving the salon, but after I washed it myself. Without an ounce of hyperbole, this is the best haircut I have ever had and I am 54 years-old. My hair looks like I have always imagined that it could. And the stuff he put in it (which I bought) makes it softer to boot. The salon is edgy and the staff is friendly. I made my next appointment before leaving.

My stylist moved to Arte! So this review is no longer valid as it’s about my stylist. ——————- I’ve been goin here for 10 years. Rachael is my Stylist. She’s taken me from black to blonde and back and forth while making sure my hair is healthy. She’s honest about what my hair can achieve and she’s great with both cuts and color. This place is a bit pricey, but worth it.

Everytime I've gone to Laicale, it's been the type of experience you see in movies. I'm treated so well. Even just getting my hair shampooed is this luxurious, relaxing feeling. And then my hairstylist/co-owner, Simone, is an artist, and I mean that in the most elevated way. She studies my hair, my look, and incorporates my lifestyle and my career into her creative thought process and then she literally "paints" my hair with subtle, beautiful "sombré" (soft ombré) highlights that make it appear like I've spent some time in the sun.

I got a haircut this past weekend from Scout and she did such an amazing job. I had a picture of how I wanted the haircut to be and she did exactly just that! She asked me about the length and she was spot on! Not a bit shorter or longer. I love my new haircut and I'll def be going back to visit Scout. The salon is cute and cozy and perfect for Sunday morning cuz it's right in downtown willow glen with a bunch of brunch spots. A good haircut followed by brunch? I'll take that!

I have been going to Jeffrey at this salon for about 12 years. He does a great short hair cut and wonderful color. The assistants always give a quality scalp massage at the end of the hair wash. A nice touch. I only gave 4 stars, because I absolutely hate the techno music they insist on always playing. Yuck.

I moved to New York from Italy one year ago and I started going to Laicale' where I found the same quality that i'm used to. The atmosphere is extremely relaxing, you feel taken care of and there is a lot of attention even for the smallest details. On top of this, I found Sara and I just love her! She is super nice and makes my hair looks amazing and natural. I don't know how I could do without her.

I had the opportunity this past Saturday to enjoy the experience at Laicale. I say “experience” because from the time I walked in their door until my service was finished, every team member that I came in contact with was so professional and I felt they truly cared about my hair needs. Simone took the time with a thorough consultation to find out about my hair and gave me the best haircut that I have ever had! Michael shampooed and conditioned my hair...that was an experience in itself...he was awesome!! When my service was finished Simone took the time to recommend some products so I would be able to style my hair at home and made sure I knew how to use them. Since leaving the salon I’ve had the opportunity to style my hair myself and it is so easy! I LOVE IT!!! Thank you Simone :)

The comments below about their rudeness and miserable customer service are on point and appropriate. I want to share with you my awful experience. I was a regular for 4+ years and in the last appointments I had to constantly wait as the stylist was running late. In one of the last appointments, the desk assistant moved arbitrarily my appointment by 15 minutes (without letting me know) and that resulted in me waiting for the stylist 35+ minutes. Additionally, their appointment system is misleading: I booked a clean up with a certain Simone (certainly not a Harvard scholar nor a philanthropist) as my stylist was not available and I was welcomed by an attitude which was irritating to say the least: initially, she tried to give me a hair cut pretending she did not know I had booked a clean up (but who does she want to fool? does not she check her appointments beforehand?), then she reinforced the wrong attitude asking if I wanted my eyebrows trimmed... it became clear to me she just wanted to take the most out of me, that was her ultimate goal. Not happy with that, when I brought up that I only wanted a clean up, she said that clean ups are only offered to those clients which are followed by a stylist (not true as I booked clean ups with several stylists several times). So we are basically speaking of a cheater and buffoon. She barely gave me a clean up in less than 10 minutes (whose quality I do not even want to comment...)and charged me $40... When I emailed them asking for a correction and bringing up the issues above, this is the email I received: Note, I am copying and pasting literally so you have an idea of the kind of villains they are. "Hi Giorgio, Thank you for your feedback. We have disabled your online account as it appears we are not a good fit for you for your hair needs. Thank you," Enough said, right? If that's the way they treat regulars, I cannot even imagine what else they are capable of. STAY AWAY.

Sara has been doing my for about 12 years now. Clearly, I love her! She is a perfectionist, which is not bad at all when it comes to doing hair. I highly recommend Laicale and in particular Sara. I get my hair colored very blonde and she uses colors that do minimal damage. I also get my hair cut by her.

Kevyn always does a phenomenal job. He was ready for me when I got there, helped me get settled, talked through what I wanted to do with my haircut, and then executed it perfectly. The salon is very spacious, well decorated, and nicely lit. I highly recommend Laicale!

I've been going to Laicale (I think) since '07 and I've had good experiences every time. I started getting short haircuts from Takako a year and a half ago and am always happy. I highly recommend Takako because she is a really wonderful person who cuts hair perfectly!

Just started going to this salon because my longtime stylist Kevyn moved here from another salon. So far I'm enjoying it! The decor is very contemporary and clean. The staff is young and hip (I'm not hip but aspire to be). High quality shampoos and conditioners. And they have their own line of products. I've purchase one so far and it's really nice. I also love that they do bang trims for free in between haircuts. The location is great too. Gives me a good excuse to go shopping in Soho after my hair appointment! Kevyn is the best! I've been seeing him for almost 4 years. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my hair. He does both cuts and color. I often get bored with my hair so Kevyn and I have tried all different styles and colors. I've even trusted him enough to go bleach blond twice (from dark brown) and bright red highlights. We have a blast coming up with new ideas and he always knows what I'm going for and takes it to the next level. I highly recommend him.
