I have been a client of Julien Farrell for the past several years. Their overall standard of professionalism has always kept me a loyal client. Since the very start I have consistently had my hair styled by Steven. His technique and styling versatility has always remained exceedingly efficient. He listens to my needs and always strives to pass my expectations. In my experience with Steven he always makes me feel as though I’m being treated to something special, taking the time to show me how to get the salon results in my everyday hair routine.

A few weeks ago, while staying at the Regency, I had my hair cut by Davis. I have NEVER trusted anyone I did not know to cut my hair.. Anyway, it is a fantastic haircut, I am so happy. Guess I will have to travel to NY more often!

So delighted by my experience today at Julien Farel! I have been to lesser salons with an overabundance of attitude and to enter this salon and be met with such warmth and kindness made all the difference. In addition the tone of the room was just right. I had the utmost honor of seeing Abby Haliti the Balayage Expert and had my hair blown out supremely by Steven Fernandes. I will absolutely return.

This expensive salon have a terrible hair color service. My brother in law went there looking for his colorist of years, he was told she didn't work there anymore, they offered him the service with the best colorist they got. He got A TERRIBLE JOB!!!. We think this salon is obsolete as the "Lowest" hotel where this place is located. Getting bad and worst tha before.

I traveled to NYC for a decent haircut. Julien Farel charged me $700 (cut only, no color). I don't worry about the MONEY, but I felt bad because I knew the staff must have been laughing like mad after I left. It wasn't that good a haircut either.

I went into Julien Farel for the first time 2 weeks ago since I’ve heard really good things about the salon; (it took me a while to finally go because I live downtown and kept trying to find a place close to me) A friend recommended I book an appt with Steven and I’m really glad I did. He was super attentive, funny and obviously talented. I love my new length and fringe! I don’t ever blow dry my hair nor do I spend any time styling it but the way he cut it has been super easy to style daily and I’ve received so many complements from friends and colleagues. It’s been a long time since I’ve been so happy with a haircut. I’m relieved I finally found a good place. I’ll even make the trip uptown!

Raphael was the best stylist in the salon. I can't wait for him to do my color again. He truly transformed me. My hair looked fried and now it is healthy. He like a magician. I use to have dry, curly hair!! Must try at least once in your life!!

Want respectful treatment? Look elsewhere. If you ever sign up to treatment in this salon, don’t expect respectful treatment process. You might end up having a hair cut with dirty instruments with someone else’s hair in it. What their senior stylist think about it? Nothing, it’s OK for them to disrespect clients in this way to provide treatments with dirty instruments.

You're in luck because the absolute BEST colorist in N.Y.C is at the Julien Farel Restore Salon! Olivia Beyer! You can literally have the most stunning color of your life done by this talented, awesome woman. I’ve had my hair done all over Manhattan and the search for "the one" ended when I met her almost 10 years ago. Anything you want, she can do. Julien Farel Restore Salon is my absolute preferred stop for my hair care/color needs. Great Salon.

This salon saved my wedding! It was not a good morning for me when I walked out of some other salon not being happy with my hair, it was my wedding and I did not feel pretty. I reached out to a friend in tears, who quickly gave up her appoitnment with Aizhan Sembayeva at Julien Farel, and within minutes I was sitting in her chair. She was super understanding, and I bet it is not easy to work with hair that is now full of hair spray and the bride that's super untrusting after a one bad experience. She listened patiently about my idea of my hair, immediately served me a glass of champagne (smart) and without even washing my hair was able to create a beautiful, simple, modern updo that I loved. I can't thank Aizhan and the entire team for this. I highly recommend Aizhan for updoes.

Came in asking for a more dramatic look, ended up with the most basic, highlighted bob. The colourist, Christopher, was nice and tried to remedy it by adding a streak of lighter colour at front. The hairdresser, Steven, made it very clear that he couldn’t be bothered to answer my questions, give his opinion or his time to the cut/blowout. They both knew I came all the way from London to get this done and I usually love the salon. I told Steven I wanted to leave with curls and even suggested how he could do that with a drier, I ended up with a straight bob. It was 7pm on Saturday so I guess he wanted to head out for the night. The worst part was how rude he was to the assistant helping him, making it clear that he was irritated and didn’t want to be there. I left with a huge bill, feeling terrible

Much ado about nothing. Was recommended by the concierge at my hotel. Had a shampoo/blow dry. The way they dried my hair left it with so much static that it was impossible to brush until the next day. Some staff friendlier than others especially at reception. Won’t be going back.
