This is the best salon in New York! Yakov is a miracle worker!! When I first came to him over 8 years ago he fixed my color and I have never had a bad hair day ever since then. I have been coming to Hair N Now for years and every time I come I get the best service from him and his team. I go to Yakov for my color, haircut, and a beautiful blowout. I do not know what I would do without him. I have brought friends and family and ALL of them have been beyond happy with their results with Yakov and his team. Overall, I feel blessed to have found Yakov. I defiantly recommend the salon; he has an amazing team!

I wanted to dye my hair from dirty blonde to platinum. I've only done partial or half highlights in the last few years. I was looking for a dramatic change and I am also on a budget so I went in with a tall order. Denia and the salon worked with me, and gave me a great deal. They used a product I'd never heard of during the process and as a result my hair wasn't ruined. Look at the pictures they tell it better than I can!

My hair experience with Yakov was amazing from beginning to end. The complimentary consultation not only made me aware of what/how my hair will look like. I like that he catered only to what I want,exactly what I asked for is what I received. He is a professional after all. The appointment started on time. Yakov explained each step and occasionally checked to see how I was doing. His assistant was a pleasure as well. He cares about his customers' hair --teaches you how to maintain the certain look I was going for, and what appropriate products to use, etc. At the end of it all, I was very satisfied with the cut and color. Yakov did an amazing job and made me look fabulous for my upcoming event.

This salon is incredible! I moved to this neighborhood a few years back and kept trying to find a salon that's this good. I can't imagine going anywhere else now. The owner and the staff are great and professional. I have been coming here for quite some time now and I've sent friends and family there;they were all extremely satisfied as well. I come to Hair N Now for my Brazilian blowout, balayage and haircuts. It is a great team of experts that really know what they are doing. Overall, I am very happy and feel amazing every time I walk out of there. Another great thing is that they open early so i can run in for a quick blowout before work which is so convenient.

This salon is professional, honest, and has great prices. They have a great assistant which gives the best shampoos! Overall, I was not pleased with my experience. I was told I could have the groupon price for my balyage experience. After we get started, I was informed I had to pay extra for toner, which ended up being $45. Not to metion, one of my front pieces, the stylist didn’t foil the color in correctly and I had a very abrupt color line right by the ear. The staff was very polite but I would warn customers from going here.

Hair dresser was over an hour late twice in a row and both times they changed prices on me after hair was done. They offer great price up front and then don’t deliver. Two thumbs down! #nothonest

This is my go-to salon in the city and love the quality services that they provide. They are professional and friendly in their interaction - a community feel for the time that you are there for your appointment. All my hair care needs are handled by their knowledgeable staff - from color to highlights. I have been going to Yakov for my hair cuts ever since he opened the salon (a few years ago) and can say that he has an amazing flair when he blow dries your hair. You will walk out happy and looking like a million bucks!!

I recently had an important event coming up and needed to get my hair done. My boss recommended the salon she normally attends, Hair N Now, and I absolutely LOVED IT. Not only did the woman working on my hair, Dena, do a lovely job cutting it, she did a beautiful job with the blow out. The staff was super friendly and made the stressful process of getting your hair cut actually enjoyable! I was able to feel confident leaving the salon with beautiful, soft, and healthy hair! I would highly recommend this place to anyone who's looking for a kind and professional environment. Everyone went above and beyond to make sure I looked good for my event!

Just left and looking fabulous. Thanks Helen! This was my 2nd time there. Mirna gives the best head massage during the hair washes. The owner was nice and the receptionist always helpful & pleasant. I actually had an appointment somewhere else and canceled because i walked by & saw they weren't busy so i did a wash/blow dry since i was already there. However, the space is small...maybe 6 chairs...so ventilation wasn't great. There was an elderly woman by the wash bowl getting and it smelled of thick chemicals. The staff was helpful by opening the door. But when they came back from a smoke break the door shut. So i asked to open it again. I have asthma and possibly pregnant so the fumes were strong for me. Headache & nausea would have hit me. But the bald guy doing the womans hair was rude to me and made an unnecessary comment. Hence the rating. I was about to leave and take my business elsewhere but they moved me to a chair closest to the door and asked me not to be upset. I would never recommend him with that attitude. I was completely dressed down and maybe being on the UES i didn't look like a valuable client but ever customer has value. Being that i have been in hospitality for more than 20 years, frequent hair salons and have friends who own their own all over the Country....i was just rubbed the wrong way. I say this to explain why i rarely give 5 stars and why the 4 star rating dropped to 3. Kudos to the rest of the team. I would recommend the salon but in New york salons are everywhere....so customer service is important.

I love this hair salon and would absolutely recommend every one of the hair stylists that work there. Each one is passionate about the art and beauty of hair and what works for each client. Personally, I have been going there for the past 10 years and have never had a cut or color that I did not like. The atmosphere of the salon is very stylish and beautiful which is a plus. If you're looking for quality services with exceptional detail then I would definitely recommend this salon.

Absolutely horrific experience here. My extensions came out after ONE DAY. Eleanor (I believe this is her name), mismatched half of my tape in extensions, and they began to fall out less than 24 hours after they had been put in. There is a reason these extensions are advertised cheaply on Groupon - they are awful and the service is just as bad. To make matter's worse, the owner of Hair n Now would only give me a 40% refund, despite it being 100% their fault that my $600 extensions came out after a day. Learn from my mistake and do not go here, find a much better salon that may charge a little more but it will be worth it. Disgusted.
