I have been coming to Hair date for over 6 years. Gilbert is the best hair stylist around. I moved to the upper east 3 year ago but I still come to Hair date because of the services they provide to me. Take a bow Hair date 5 stars is not enough. Thank you for making my experience a memorable one.

Date from hell for my hair! Shampoo chic was completely incompetent and ended up soaking my shirt with water while washing my hair. The senior stylist made me wait over 1/2 hr by overbooking himself with other clients. Rushed through my hair trim and did NOT listen to what I had asked for. Walked out with ridiculously super short bangs. I probably would've had better success asking my 4-year old nephew to cut my hair.

I've been going to Kozue for so many years I can't count and there is no one else like her. For the amazing cuts, styling and vision she has, it's hard to believe the price. She's a true artist and expert in her field. And what a sweetheart. I walk away every time knowing I look great, the cut is exactly what I asked for and it will grow out perfectly. She and Hair Dates are seriously the best kept secrets in hair for NYC. I almost don't want to write this-- I'm exposing true gems.

I love Hair Date! Kozue has been doing my hair for 8 years and everytime I leave I come out with a great cut! She is such an amazing stylist and anytime I go in with an idea of how I want my hair she turns it into reality especially since I have such thin hair. Every stylist here is super friendly and very helpful esp since I now travel from a state away and even had my toddler with me. Amazing place and atmosphere also. Highly recommend!

I've been going to Hair Date for the past six months and I've always been treated to the BEST experience. I don't plan on going anywhere else anytime soon! Karen does an excellent job on my hair, and really listens to what I want going into every cut. She's an excellent stylist and is an AWESOME person. I highly recommend Karen for any men's cut. For guys who are afraid they'll never find a place other than a barbershop in NYC that's reasonably priced, go here! You won't regret it.

Kozue is absolutely incredible. I've been getting partial highlights/ haircut with her for about 2 years- hands down nowhere else in the city where you get this kind of quality at that price. Cash only is kind of a pain, but it's worth it!
