WOW! As you know, it's hard to trust anyone to cut and style curly hair. But, Fabi's is AMAZING!! I googled hair stylist in NYC and she was the only one who had 99.9% 5 star ratings!! I wish I could rate her with a 10 Star rating! Stop searching and trust this business! Thx Fabi :-)

I now have had three haircuts at Fabi's, and they all have been excellent (and I am very picky!) Fabi just gave me an amazing cut that was exactly what I wanted. Today I worked on the set of a TV show, and the haiir stylist said that my haircut was great. The prices are very reasonable, and the staff and atmosphere are pleasant. I highly recommend!

I’ve been to Fabi’s salon 2x and loved it every time. Julie is a great stylist - super professional and very kind as a person. First time I used a Grupon package and I was so happy with the result that I came back as soon as I needed a haircut. I went all in and got the Highlights and the blowout and I must say I highly recommend Julie for her service and talent. You will not be disappointed- People kept asking me where I do my hair so I keep sending them to Fabi’s.

I went to Fabi's Hair Studio by my friend's recommendation who lives in NYC. I live in Canada and i came to NYC just for few weeks. My hair are damaged due to severe winter climate conditions: weak, dry, and shineless. Frankly speaking i gave up on it cause no matter where i go to get my hair done, it has a great look only till i get them washed. When i came to Fabi's hair Studio i discussed my situation with Michelle (one of Fabi's Hair Studio stylists) and she recommended me to have a Keratin treatment and some products for the hair which i can use myself at home. And you know what??! :) It's amazing!! Whenever i'm here i will definately come back to the salon!! Thank you, guys, very much!!!

Best experience I’ve had in a very long time!! Marie cut and styled my hair exactly how I wanted. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. They honored a groupon deal online. I would highly recommend this salon!!

If I could rate this salon a minus zero I would! I scheduled an appointment for Color and Keratin with the owner, Fabi. She was supposedly trained at Vidal Sassoon. I arrived at the salon and Fabi talked to me for two minutes she convinced me into getting highlights. She then instructs and assistant to take care of my color and Keratin. My hair was colored orange and brassy then a dark brown with highlights on the top of my bangs. My hair looks amateurish. I told Fabi I was very upset with my hair. she immediately wanted to whisk me out of the salon. She charged me $300.00 for this amateurish mess. I would never step foot in this salon again. I would not recommend this salon to anyone!!!

A friend recommended me to go to see Mystie at Fabi's hair salon. I wanted a haircut and blowdry, but after i talked to her we decided to do some highlights. That was the best decision for my hair! I'm very very pickie when it's about my hair and I was so happy by the result, i just looked fabulous. I totally recommend Mystie, she's fun and very professional!

But Zhanna’s cut and color looked great for the full 5 weeks before it was time for my next appointment, so I went back and been with her ever since, 6 months now. Julie is the one who has been cutting my hair several times now. She is really good at her job and a very nice person as well. For over 10 years I only trusted one hairdresser with cutting my hair. Because of my moving to NYC I had to find a new hairdresser. At my first visit I chose to get a new model. Julie fully understood what I wanted and gave me an amazing haircut. She is my new trusted hairdresser now.

After reading some negative reviews, I was a little nervous about booking at this salon. However Julie, my stylist, was very good - she gave me exactly what I asked for and she was super nice! They will try to upsell you (compote, product, etc.), but that's to be expected at most salons nowadays... And she wasn't pushy. The important thing was she honored the price I could have gotten on Groupon even with the sale they had going on, and I left the place with a big smile on my face! Be aware: they only accept tips in cash.

A true Gem ! Found a Groupon and called the shop to schedule an appointment, they were able to fit me in the same day. Jana was my stylist, she did an amazing job on my color correction and cut. I'm new to the city so got lost, they didn't fuss about and even stayed a little late to blow out my hair. Had a great time with Jana and Marie, they are friendly and funny. Definitely found my NYC Hair Salon!

If you like having your hair tugged at, ripped, and your scalp burned, I highly recommend this spot. They charge an extra 10 bucks for long hair, never have I ever come across that before. Hair cutter cut my hair to her preference instead of mine. Never do I want to come back here.

I am in love with this salon! I wish I could give it more than 5 stars. Usually I leave salons miserable and unhappy with how my hair came out but Julie took my long lifeless hair and completely trainsformed it into a beautiful layered, perfectly shaped, bouncy cut. I got the deep condition treatment done as well and my hair has never felt so soft. Everyone at this salon is incredible, warm, and friendly. Will be coming back for all future haircuts!! Fabi is amazing, I have curly hair and every time i go in for a haircut and she has done an amazing job at cutting, styling my hair and giving me what I want. The last time i went in she cut my hair in a bob style, gave me steel green highlights and straightened my hair, which was what i wanted. I was so scared about the straightening part because of bad past experiences But She and her staff did such an amazing job. I would definitely recommend her salon to anyone

I wish I could give this hair boutique zero stars. I decided to book a consultation with Fabi after reading the reviews and ignoring the few bad ones (HUGE MISTAKE). Once I went in for my consultation I was rapidly rushed into highlights and a hair cut which would later come out to $215.00. I showed Fabi (the owner) a picture of a brunette with brown/caramelize undertone highlights and stressed the importance of not having any RED OR BLONDE STREAKS IN MY HAIR. She quickly agreed and started the process right away. 40 minutes into the process I noticed my hair was turning blonde, I reiterate I did not want any blonde or red in my hair and she agreed, AGAIN. Dismissing me very rapidly. She then offered everyone wine at the establishment except me, which I found very strange and unprofessional. Fast forward to 3 hours later, she starts blow drying my hair with the help of her assistant. Once I get up from the chair I have blonde and red streaks all over my hair and not to mentioned such a poor cut job. My hair looks like red and blonde hay. I literally cried on my way home, I am so upset. I went from having beautiful long black hair to short disgusting red/blonde bob for $215. Once I was rushed out because they were "closing". I call and spoke to Fabi on the phone, I told her how upset I was because this wasn't what I asked for, $215 down the drained she told me to come back so she can "tone it down". I went back the next day and she dyed my hair brown LOL, not to mention she didn't blow dry my hair again after the horrible dye job because I had to pay again. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy!

I'm a hair dresser and my daughter is in college in NYC and I couldn't get to her to highlite her hair, so I researched and found Fabi's Salon. She has never had her hair done by anyone else but me her MOM!!! She loves her hair!!!! She sent me pic's and they did an excellent job!!! Thank You to the owner and stylist!!!!

Owner was not polite - As I finished, my hair dresser took me to the front desk to charge for the service. I paid the amount and walk to grab my jacket. I can tell Owner was yelling or mad at the hair dresser about the charges and I can tell she was asking what tools was used to do my hairs. It almost seem like she wanted her to charge me more. I felt really bad for the hair dresser that she is being treated like this! Not only did she make her feel bad but also make me feel uncomfortable. Not going back again.

Came in here because this salon uses organic products for coloring hair. Was beyond pleasantly surprised and impressed with Marie who gave me a SOLID color/cut. Can't believe I've been living around the block all this time without checking it out. Will definitely be back!
