A true artist, fantastic consultant, and friend, Giuseppe is someone that I trust implicitly with my color and cuts. After my first visit to his new salon, I can also see that the Fabio Scalia is a perfect match for his talent. Everyone on staff was friendly and attentive. Fabio Scalia Soho is the Creme de la Creme of hair salons. I have been visiting the FS Brooklyn Heights' location for years (Fabio even styled my hair for my wedding day!) and when I learned a SoHo location was opening, I was simply ecstatic given the close proximity to my home. My first visit to the SoHo location was upon opening in early 2016 and I have been visiting on a regular basis for haircuts ever since. The environment is chic contemporary elegance however, it still feels very warm and welcoming. Upon entry, you're greeted by the receptionist who checks you in, and offers you a beverage (I opted for a hot tea, which was presented beautifully). The staff aims to please and the attention to detail is very apparent. With a quick change into a brown robe, I was ready to go. On my most recent visit, Antonio washed and conditioned my hair, which included a luxurious mini-scalp massage and a extensive variety of products to select from. (The shampoo stations even include full body massaging chairs...!). He was willing to shampoo me twice, to preserve my post-cut blow out for additional days and minimize oil between washes. Fabio cut my hair in the most attentive of ways. He is truly a visionary and an artist, who provides consultation is a very balanced and thoughtful way, while still listening to his clients' wants and needs. I asked for a 'healthy trim' which is exactly what I ended up with. 2-2.5 inches came off, and there were no split ends in sight. After a fabulous blow out from Antonio, Fabio was back to evaluate my cut dry and apply minor tweaks, such as additional shaping to my side sweep bangs. You can tell that Fabio takes such pride in his work, that he will not feel comfortable with you leaving if even one hair is out of place! Overall, I am was very pleased with my experiences at both Fabio Scalia Soho and Brooklyn Heights and plan to continue visiting for as long they will have me! =) I highly recommend this salon to anyone who wants a high quality and luxurious hair experience.

After years of casual, non-regular hair cuts, my friend recommended that I try this salon since he had been to the Brooklyn location and liked their vibe. I ended up with senior stylist Nordia and finally realized the value of a professional hair cut... My hair is naturally wavy/ curly and Nordia didn't push a hair cut on me that would require daily straightening to look decent. She cut my hair when it was wet and wavy first, then blew it out, straightened it, and went back in to make sure my angled bob was even when I want to straighten it. I have never gotten more compliments on a hair cut with so little styling effort on my part... I feel like she gave me exactly what I asked for, but applied a few more edgy details that only a seasoned professional would know how to execute. I would describe the atmosphere as upscale and elegant, but still laid back (not pretentious) and friendly with excellent customer service. I am writing this review after my 3rd visit because I realized that I finally found a stylist that works with and compliments my priorities when it comes to my hair care. Highly recommend! Now I actually look forward to hair cuts!

I go to Fabio for my hair and Claudia for my color but the entire experience and everyone in the salon is amazing. Moving from the midwest, I had a difficult time finding a skilled master stylist to handle my curly hair that wasnt trying to rush through my cut. My first visit to Fabio, we spent the first almost 45 minutes just talking and he got to know my personality and gave me all of my options and left me to make the decisions not forcing anything. That alone made me trust him to do his thing, and i never looked back. He introduced me to the whole staff, and got my hair back not only looking good but actually healthy. He's honest and treats all of his clients like family and truly cares. Claudia is a perfectionist as well and will make sure you leave happy. I send all my friends and fam to Fabio! There are haircuts and then there's a Fabio haircut and there's just no comparison. Your hair looks amazing as soon as you walk out the salon door - no waiting for it to grow in. And then, when it does grow in, somehow it just looks better and better. It's like he can see into the future and knows how each hair will fall into place. Best of all it works-- I can blow dry it myself.

What a wonderful experience!! I came to this salon after another salon ruined my bayalage. I was nervous that my hair could not be fixed but boy was I wrong! Claudia was my colorist and I’ve never felt more secure at a salon. I have scalp psoriasis and was hesitant about having to explain my scalp condition, but Claudia made me feel so comfortable during my time at Fabio Scalia. She was so gentle and for the first time in years, I was not insecure about having scalp psoriasis. And to add to my pleasant time, the color correction came out so phenomenal that I forgot it was even a correction. Thank you Fabio Scalia and Claudia! Highly recommend!

Fabio Scalia is the best and most professional in his trade. I have been to many salons in NYC and was happy to find out that Fabio was opening a 2nd location in Soho. Previously I was going to his exclusive Montague St location in Brooklyn and I still do if I can't get an appointment at his posh Soho salon. To say this was the greatest haircut of my life would be an understatement. From the moment I walked into the salon the friendly staff treated me like I had just wont the lottery. Everyone from the front desk to the stylists were extremely attentive and kind. As for the cut its self, one word, EXCEPTIONAL. People are constantly coming up to me in the street asking me where I got my haircut. Fabio is not just a stylist. He is a maestro. Watching him cut hair is like watching Monet or Van Gogh paint. He is a genius. His understanding of the scalp, hairlines, how to structure and cut hair is sublime. I can not recommend this place enough. You are an idiot if you do not get your hair cut here.

I've been going to the Fabio Scalia Salon in SoHo since last July and this place is absolutely amazing!! I am SO happy I stumbled upon Fabio and his fabulous team! Fabio does my haircuts and I go to Claudia for my balayage. They are true artists. I can't tell you how many compliments I get after leaving the salon. For the first time in my life, I can comfortably sit in that chair, trusting them, and knowing it will look great. I finally found a place where I found a colorist that told me I know what you need, and of course, I agreed. It is exactly what I was looking for. The color is so beautiful, subtle, and natural. And to top it off, they have massage chairs while they shampoo/condition your hair.. Ah-mazing! This place treats you like family and the service is impeccable. Love love love! Never been happier with how my hair came out at a salon. The cut and color is exactly what I've been wanting. I've been hopping from stylist to stylist, salon to salon trying to find someone that will listen to what I want and give me a realistic expectation based on the condition of my hair (damage, pre-existing color, and what will actually suit the shape of my face). Many times I've been told what I wanted can be done "easily" but I'm constantly surprised and disappointed in the end and that's never ok. Honesty (and of course skill) makes me trust my stylist and I trust Fabio and this salon (wonderful and sweet staff btw)! I cut off some inches and Fabio insisted I go a little shorter but I was hesistant since I've always had relatively long hair. Needless to say I'll be going back to get some more hair chopped off because he clearly knows what I want more than myself lol. Thank you endlessly. I'll be back VERY soon! This is where you go for a great men's cut. Giuseppe is the best. A true artist with his countless pairs of scissors. I came to him with a picture of the style I was going for and he nailed it. The men's haircut is wonderful and the staff makes you feel like part of a family. Since I started going to the new SoHo location in 2016, Fabio has not only provided the consistent quality that I need, but has also completely transformed my expectations for a haircut. You can book an appointment by telephone or through the online booking portal on their website. When you arrive at the salon, you will be offered a drink. The stylist will evaluate your hair to see what will provide the perfect balance and style. You will enjoy being shampooed in a luxurious massage chair. After the haircut, your hair will be styled with great products including top brands such as Oribe and label.m. Out of my countless appointments with the salon, not once have I left feeling disappointed with the service. The price for my haircut is definitely a step above an ordinary stylist but the reliability and quality is well worth it.
