Mark has fair and competitive pricing and he is no nonsense. no talk of doing crazy things to my hair. asked me what i wanted, we discussed the best course of action and then he gave me a fantastic cut in about 20 min. Highly recommend dry cuts now. He was able to actually see my hair's texture and shape it in a way that works with my frizz without being poofy.

This salon has always been wonderful and accommodating. Victoria is the woman I go see and she does an amazing job. I am extremely picky and I used to live in San Francisco. Once a month I used to fly back home to get my haircut back in RI. Once I moved to NYC I didn't know where to go but I wasn't able to travel back and forth to get my haircut as I used to. I heard of Victoria through a friend and I'm glad I did. I've been going to her for over a year and I love how detailed she is. She truly cares about your experience and she enjoys what she does. I highly recommend Victoria specifically, she's great!

I called at the last minute for a blow out. I was visiting NYC and they fit me in right away. I have to say this was one of the top hairstyles I've ever had. I think it was Roger and he took his time and really made my hair look great. They were very gracious and thoughtful. The price was reasonable and I left feeling very very very happy. Worst haircut I ever had in my life, this place deserves no stars! I made an appointment with a lady named Victoria, I went in with a full set of long hair asking for a conservative haircut and the lady cut all my hair and left me looking like a Chia-pet, I have very thick hair so Too short means it will stick up! instead of to the sides, very poor communication and lack of professionalism, her excuse was I had to wait 2 months for the style I want. so she did whatever she desired and thought was best for me, I'm very unpleased with this service! I left unfulfilled, overwhelmed and judge by some of the staff that was there, Never coming to this establishment again.

Everyone is pleasant and QUICK and prices seem quite reasonable. Updating my review above: still very pleased with this salon and the staff as of my last visit about a month ago (March 2018).

Had the worst experience here. The appointment of 5pm dragged to 15-20 mins and finally 30 mins later. Rude!!! The cleaner lady was very rude. She didn't allow me to sit next to my daughter becoz I am not a customer, rather, I am just a person waiting for my daughter to get her hair cut and permed. Guess she has not had her sex for decades for such grumpy behaviour. Floor is mopped and swept and I cant sit on those "gold-precious-"coloured"-chairs". Coloured chairs in her words. Good lord! The floor has dried since and it wont even stain anymore had I catwalk on them. Stupidity! As for wifi, no access for customers despite 2 hours plus in salon. Nahhh... it won't kill... just a nasty experience, esp. the cleaner lady... go get some manners on how to communicate. Such ugly and rude way to talk to customers. Keep sweeping baby, keep mopping the floor.

If you're looking for a cheap and quick haircut, come here. It's a really small hole in the wall shop lacking all the features of a high end salon, but I got exactly the haircut I was looking for and it only took 30 minutes. The haircut was only $30 before tip, and I was able to walk in without calling ahead.

Don’t be fooled by the reviews - I’m sure they were paid for! I received the worst service I’ve ever experienced in New York City, and a spoilt birthday party! Look at the pictures below: 1) is my hair after 1,5 hours of torture in this salon, after the “specialist” did 2 attempts to curl my hair, with an iron and then with a cone. Picture taken 10 minutes after leaving the salon (and there was NO rain or wind outside!!!!) can you believe I paid $55 for it.????? 2) my picture in a proper salon after a 50 min professional session. It says it all about the salon!!! Totally UNPROFESSIONAL!!! The lady didn’t know what she was doing. I ended up going home and washing it off at once!!! My boyfriend tried to comfort me but my birthday was completely spoilt! Look at it closely! Those are not curls, not even waves - it’s was a complete mess! Moreover, the atmosphere is sick at the salon. Whatever I think about the lady that attended me - it’s one thing, but I had to listen the other “specialists” gossip her behind her back, in her presence, talking the language she doesn’t understand and not knowing that I perfectly understood everything they said. It’s a snake nest, not a hair salon, and don’t waste your nerves, time and money!!!

Well this review was not paid for! I went to see Roger twice during my visit to NY, once in September 2017 and once in October. He made up a gorgeous, rich, natural-looking color for me and I get compliments everywhere. I only regret that I can't go back for my next coloring, as I don't live in NY.

I got out of work and just looked up the closest hair place. I walked in and they greeted me. Everyone seemed really nice. They took my coat, sat me down at the hair washing station, and I immediately thought, "damnit, this place is expensive." However, for the service I was provided, I was very impressed by the price. Men's haircut with initial shampoo/conditioning for about $30 (without tip). My haircut was perfect and Victoria who cut my hair has been working for 25 years. She was amazing and her years of experience showed. You can't tip with credit card so bring cash for tip.
