Where do I begin?!? I am almost afraid to share Reni with the world but she is that amazing!! I have been having her take care of my hair for the last two years and she is impeccable! A great stylist, an amazing, friendly person and a perfectionist! Run don’t walk if you want the perfect, precise blonde color - blonde so good Jennifer Aniston would be envious! My only complaint is that they don’t offer champagne as a drink and the WiFi can be spotty...not her fault but the salon’s

I first discovered Antonio Prieto Salon through Gilt City and used my voucher to get a haircut with Melissa. Melissa cuts curly hair very well. I was very impressed with how she cut my hair. She thoroughly explained how to style it. Allison has been doing my highlights. She was in the apprentice program, but was very adept at giving me natural looking highlights. Overall, I am very pleased at my experience at this salon.

This is a really high end salon that provides incredible services and also has the most lovely and wonderful people working there. It is high end but feels comfortable and let's you feel at home when you are there. Brian Zinno gives THE best haircut and I have been going to him for years. This used to be a great salon, and still can be, but staff needs to lighten up and start caring about their work, beginning with Antonio (the owner). My haircuts used to be perfect, not they pretty much scream a choppy "I don't give damn about the quality of my work". The interns are extremely sloppy and a hair wash means a flood down your back and ears clogged with foam and water. The receptionist tops it all with acting like he's there against his will, and every customer is disrupting him from checking his phone. The place is also not a poster child for cleanliness as it used to be. I feel sad that this place that I relied on for a good haircut for years has started going down the drain, but you know what, this is NYC and one can always take his/her business to a new place that cares about customers and the quality of work.

I found Mia under the apprentice program and am so happy I did! She is absolutely amazing! My color came out great and I loved it, however, after a week it faded and I was unhappy. She was able to get me in for a redo ASAP at no charge. She is thoughtful, and extremely talented. The senior stylists were very helpful as well, offering suggestions and checking in to make sure she had a good game plan. I sent my friend to Mia for a color as well, and she loves her hair. Salon is beautiful, great location, and nice people. Overall a wonderful experience. Mia is amazing!

I have to be honest here. First time I came I had an amazing experience and was really happy with the result. I came back as you do after having a good experience and was quite shocked at the difference - firstly the young receptionist was awful to me. The curly hair “specialist” butched my hair- one side was longer than the other and the back was longer than the front - please keep in mind I have a Curly Bob haircut :/ And the color I had was really poorly applied, the recognition didn’t cover any of my greys and that was the whole point!! It took me another two visits at another salon to fix what they did!! This cost me in total $550/$600 which is just ludicrous especially considering what I had done to my hair. I was shocked bc I had had such a different experience the previous time. I won’t be going back.

Antonio is the best!! When you go to see him and tell him what you want that is what you get. You can show him a picture and he will make it happen. He shows you tools to work with your hair and takes time sharing products and techniques with you. He is fabulous. I just got my hair cut there on Saturday and like usual lI LOVE it.
