meaghan frayne at angelo david salon has single-handedly saved my colored curls! this woman's talent with color and style are unmatched. i have been coloring my nondescript locks for years, but never until meaghan did i truly believe i was a redhead. i'm constantly asked who does my hair, and the shock on people's faces when i tell them it is colored always makes me smile - they do not believe i'm not a natural redhead. not only are her coloring techniques on point, her styling abilities are top-notch as well. every time i leave the salon it is with a customized cut and color that has me checking out my reflection non-stop. i cannot recommend meaghan highly enough. if you are in need of a colorist and stylist to make you feel gorgeous, she's your woman!

My experience with Angelo David Salon goes back over 7 years ago and I’ve been hooked ever since! Quality service and everything you’re looking for in a salon is top notch! Their hair extensions are the absolute best extensions you’ll find out there. Angelo is a perfectionist and will pay close attention and detail to exactly what you want. Their hair stylists are all incredible in their own way. They have amazing hair products as well, with my personal favorite being their flex brush. My experience at Angelo David Salon was life-changing. My hair was in bad shape- really bad shape. From years of bleaching, straightening, and plus some health issues, my already fine hair was becoming more fragile and thin and not growing in as fast anymore. I searched for salons that specialized in thinning hair to help me. Based on reviews, there was no question that Angelo David Salon was the place to go, but I doubted they could do anything for me as my hair was so thin and not getting any better. I reached out and explained my situation, that this was a last resort before shaved it all off to start over. I had a consultation with Carlos, who was very reassuring. He laid out a couple options based on the current state of my hair. He had a plan to get my hair healthy again, and in the meantime, suggested using couture filler extensions and some coloring tricks to help me face the world every day. Angelo and his team then totally transformed me. Rita’s coloring job was nothing short of a miracle. She made sure to use products that were not going to further damage my hair, and to add in repair treatments. Angelo and Rita were able to color match couture filler extensions that match the natural color AND the texture of my own hair. I can’t believe how perfectly matched and natural the fillers are. The filler application done by Angelo was quick and easy, and they used fillers that were lightweight so as not to weigh down and break my fragile hair. The end product was a literal transformation. I felt like a different person. My hair looks fantastic and you cannot distinguish between the couture filler extensions and natural hair, resulting in a beautiful, healthy hair that I have not had in many years. The state of my hair was a huge source of insecurity and shame, and Angelo David Salon quite literally changed my life. I am so grateful for the care and attention they gave my hair and the unbelievable job they did. And they gave me a complimentary blow out a week after! There is nothing not to love about this place.

A full service salon with friendly and amazing people. Every person we encountered went above and beyond to provide a wonderful experience. (Even the coffee they serve is yummy!) Angelo is truly a kind hearted, generous, and talented gem of a man and artist. My mother, sisters, and I flew all the way to his Madison Ave. Salon from Hawaii due to the reviews we read about him. We had a variety of services performed (cuts, color, custom hair pieces, product purchases, etc.). Angelo and his staff and the overall salon experience far surpassed our expectations even after going to great lengths to get there. I feel so well taken care of by Joanna, Jackie, Ivy, Carlos and Angelo himself as he is very involved with every client. making sure they are receiving the look that makes them feel amazing. "Angelo David Salon is the best hair salon for your hair. Lady Leslie in the front desk was very pleasant. She offered me coffee or water. The salon has very luxury and upscale design. Orchid flowers and quiet atmosphere will make you feel relaxed. After 5 min of waiting I was invited to take a seat. She washed my hair very gently. The woman named Rita was the one who was cutting my hair. Before the haircut we discussed what would be the best option. She was very patient and helpful. During the haircut Sam offered me more cup of tea and kept me entertained. Sam was very easy with my hair while blow dry, I felt so relaxed. My colleague recommended this salon assuring that I'd "knock decades off my hair's life." I was pleasantly surprised by the veracity of the claim. I have been lightening and using a straightening iron for years and it's starting to catch up with me. I made an appointment and was able to see Meaghan during an extended lunch hour. She transformed my head of dry brittle blonde hair into shiny silky luscious locks. I was then off to a 4pm meeting but I looked like I was off to shoot the cover of Cosmopolitan. Angelo Pisacreta, the owner and stylist supreme, and Carlos Perez, the manager, are both wonderful at what they do and extremely welcoming. Cricela Romero is a terrific stylist, who makes you feel as if no one else exists while she creates your best look. Meaghan has been doing my hair for 5 years, and she is absolutely fantastic! As a blonde who has to regularly touch up her roots and get color, I have always been frustrated with hairdressers either bleaching my hair and thereby thinning it, or making it look yellow. I was quite unhappy, especially as I noted my hair thinnning. Meaghan has changed everything for me. She uses an ammmonia based color which does not damage your hair, and she knows exactly what shade makes my hair color look natural and beautiful. She is very knowledgeable and skilled, and I am so happy to have found her! My hair has been thicker than ever, and I go regularly to have my color done (roots, highlights). Highly recommend this salon without hesitation!

My experience at David Angelo Salon was amazing. Based on reviews, I reached out and explained that my hair was over processed and broken off, particularly the hair framing my face. My hair has always been fine and now was fragile as well. I was frustrated and skeptical that anything could be done outside of getting a short haircut and starting over. My first point of contact in the salon was Carlos who was caring, and explained several options based on the current state of my hair. It was suggested that couture filler extensions would be my best option combined with quality hair care products to heal the damage. I agreed and shortly met my hair care team. Casie began by color correcting hair, which was also in bad shape. The result was a natural, vibrant blonde that complemented my skin tone. Simultaneously, Angelo was at work creating perfectly color matched couture filler extensions for my hair. My next step was working with Joanna, whose application of the couture fillers was both artful and precise. The day was finished off with an expert cut by Angelo that seamlessly blended the couture fillers and my natural hair. The finished product was really unbelievable. My hair looked fantastic and you could not distinguish between the couture filler extensions and natural hair, resulting in a beautiful, healthy look. My expectations were far exceeded, and I am already looking forward to my next visit to the salon!

I was given a complimentary cut, style and manicure by the promotion company who reps this salon due to my press affiliations. Having been in the media for a few years I know this can go one of two ways usually. Either you get the "this is a freebie so we're not going to invest anything in you" or "your with the press we will treat you very well for a great review". Honestly, I don't think I got either at this salon. I feel like I was treated like one of their regular patrons and that's a good thing. The salon is immaculate. The desk staff was alert and checked me in upon arrival. Within couple of minutes I was asked if I'd like a beverage. I was early and the manicurist was free so I got my nails done first. Marianna was very good. My nails came out beautiful and I got the best hand massage ever. Shampooing was next. To me it is one of those things I find such a luxury-have someone else wash my hair. The operator thorough. The salon uses all Redken products which seemed to do a nice job on my freshly permed & color treated hair. Then it was on to Ivan's chair. I admit I really didn't need much cutting but he trimmed it up and then between himself and a stylist in training they did a nice blowout that left me with a bit of a Diane Keaton look. I was asked again during my manicure about a beverage so I opted for coffee. It was delicious and the dishes were very fit the decor of the salon. It was a very positive experience. I'm only giving it a "very good" rating as I didn't have a lot done. I think I'd need to go back for a perm or color to give a full critique. I may save up my money to do that. Oh as for location? A great place to go after work if you are a commute. It is literally right around the corner from Grand Central Terminal.

What an incredible experience! I walked into the salon on December 23, 2017 and begged them to help me, I did not have an appointment. Carlos and Angelo were wonderful to me and I ordered some hair that day. My hair became very thin several years ago when I went on a starvation diet to lose some weight. I couldn’t get it back no matter how I tried. The process was incredible!!!! So advanced and very natural. I will be flying to NY every 5 weeks for as long as I can. I have my groove back and feel like myself again. This is life changing. The combination of my hair and the additions are not even visible. Nothing has changed. I wash my hair the same, etc. Angelo and his staff are masters and I can not thank them enough. No need to feel old. So easy to get your youth back.

I started loosing my hair one and a half years ago. It was devastating. I looked up wigs on google and chose Angelo David in part for the location and great reviews. The first time I wore my hair piece at a family gathering, people couldn't stop complimenting my new hair cut. When I told them it was clip on bangs they thought I was joking and laughed. Amazing experience!! Meaghan Frayne is such a great listener and talented artist...not to mention gorgeous, intelligent and a complete joy to talk to. I moved to New York recently and until now I have not been able to get a good haircut. It's very close to grand central and easy to get to. I walked in and wasn't sure what to expect. That hesitation was alleviated with a perfect glass of Sauvignon blanc. Meaghan greeted me and talked me through what I was looking for and when she was done I was in love.
