I’d been having a tough time finding a beauty salon in Santa Fe ever since I moved here. I don’t trust a lot of people with my hair, but a friend recommended that I try the Wild Hare Salon, so I checked out their website and after giving them a call I decided to do it. I got an appointment with Kristen for a cut, and let me tell you, I was so surprised! I was so happy with my cut. I have already gotten so many compliments. The salon was so clean, and very upscale. It reminded me of salons in bigger cities that I have been to. I recommend that you check them out, you won't be sorry!

Worst experience I have ever had. My stylist (Suzanne) right away was rude and didn't even know what my appointment was scheduled for. She was too busy drinking her coffee to properly talk with me about my hair. She realized what I wanted to do finally, which was go to my natural hair color and came back telling me it would be more money and that she didn't have time today. I understand needing to spend more time and that I could have asked for the wrong type of coloring but to not offer to do anything for me on the day of appointment and let me leave after 5 minutes was the most maddening and unprofessional thing I have ever experienced. I will never go again nor will I never recommend this salon and being in the commercial design world/art world I get asked a lot for places to go. I just moved here from Chicago so maybe this is the Santa Fe way of doing things but I will be going to a salon that appreciates their customers.

Granted, this is a web client of mine but I can't help but remark about the experience. Every time I enter there is a light, relaxed air. Easy smiles and skillful cuts. Quite a few of my friends have emerged with great new looks and felt good about it. The staff? Unmatched. The training that each of them has (& I know every bit of it) is likely unmatched in this region of the US. When I get my hair cut there I am amazed that -despite the proprietor making me laugh as she cuts my hair- it is flawless. Considering my Jack Nicholson hairline & sperm-whale shaped skull, she makes me look awesome!

Having recently moved to Santa Fe, I chose this salon because of the many stellar reviews, and am very happy to have been scheduled with Suzanne. She is a skilled, precise and experienced stylist. I went today for my second haircut with her and also to have color done. She did top-notch work on both and I am delighted to have found a stylist that I have complete confidence in. Definitely a keeper!

The most amazing hair cutting experiance I have ever had and the same goes for my mom, after getting it done in such an ease and such a professional manner makes me never want a hair cut from anywhere else or with any different quality. It is hard to find anyone with any experience in hair extensions but Alicia at Wild Hare is great. She also colored my hair with the extensions in and it looked amazing!! I would highly recommend her.

I took my mom and sister for a girls day hair makeover ( plus my little boy). All three of us have had bad hair cut experiences at other places. I was looking for a quality salon to treat them to & have our hair woes fixed. All three of us were super happy with our stylists & our finished haircuts. The salon was lovely & comfortable. Our stylists really listened to us. It was awesome that they were able to fit us all in. I'm visiting from Hawaii. But would love to come back next time I visit.

I saw Johnathan for a blonde balyage last week. I cannot recall the last time I left any salon actually happy and satisfied with my hair!! Such a refreshing experience. His attention to detail is amazing. He takes the time to make sure his work is excellent both for himself and the client! So perhaps previous reviewers are used to spending a LOT of money for below-average haircare, but I like to get my money's worth. And I want to be listened to when I spend a lot. My daughter wanted to have a really nice cut and highlights for her Prom, and I when I booked I was told it would be around $125. When we got there my daughter SHOWED the stylist what we wanted and I asked if she was clear about it, and then she dismissed me in New Mexico True fashion. She ended up giving my daughter all-over lightening instead of light streaks as she wanted. Oh and did I mention it was $160 and she took 2 1/5 hours (about 45 minutes longer than it should have been)? Will never go there again. Another dose of Santa Fe "Customer Service" - in other words, it really doesn't matter what the customer wants.
