So. We ordered 3 living social deals for Brazilian blow outs. Before I go in, I ask if I should die/cut my hair before or after, the lady says it doesn't matter. I also ask if it was okay for my sister to come in because she is 8 months pregnant. They said not a problem. I go in for my hair to get blown out first. At first it was good customer service, they took my coat made me coffee, very friendly. Then after he starts he says So you're going to have to pay an additional long hair fee. At first I'm thinking what? My hair is thin and short. But whatever, I'm thinking okay 10-20 bucks no biggie, whatever. So as my hair is getting blown out he says it'll burn your eyes and such. So I ask the stylist if it was okay for my 8 month pregnant sister to come in. He says yeah it's fine, if SHE'S worried she can put on a mask. I'm like cool I'll let her know. So then I ask him when it would be okay to die my hair, he says a couple weeks, but you should have gotten that done before hand. And I'm like, well the lady at the front should have let me know that. They all are not on the same page with each other. So I get done and then my bill was almost $100. WHOA! The long hair fee was $50 !!! Like I said my hair isn't long. I asked what constitutes as long hair. She said anything past my shoulder blades. My hair is cut in a V shape at the end, and the only part past my shoulder blades was the vert tip of the V!!!!!! Not to mention I could have used that $50 (probably less actually) to get my hair cut before, and not gotten that long hair fee. If the lady who booked my appointment had mentioned anything like that or had told me to get my hair dyed first I wouldn't be so upset. And then the hair cut was $35, which isn't so outrageous, but again I could have saved $50, had I known about the long hair fee. So a bill of $100 for a living social deal that was already paid for is really crappy. I'm not a dick, so I leave a $40 tip. Then, my sister comes in for her appointment all they way from deep rio rancho, and they say they can't work on her because she is pregnant!!! After I asked twice!!!!! So we try to ask for our money back, and they say that if we don't want the blow outs that we can spend them on products. I still have 2 deals that have expired, but I can use them at the purchase price, but I would rather let them go to waste. This is what I get for trying to help out a small business. This is why big businesses are big, and small ones stay small.
