Super cute salon and staff. Everyone is very sweet and you can't tell the staff enjoys working together creating a great atmosphere for clients. Jennifer did an amazing job! I had 6+ inches off and she did a balayage coloring. Ive never been so happy with my hair! Its everything I wanted and more! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! Couldn't recommend her more. So happy to have found a great salon in SF, which is a difficult task.

Pushy and overbearing.... Don't really care about their Customers.... Put on a good show .... But it's nothing more than just that ...a show. Bottom line they don't care about you! They just want your money! So just hand the money over and get out! That's been my experience... In my opinion there are much better salons out there.

Great experience. Service and haircut were both fantastic. My hairstylist Deidra was very friendly and helped me find a good hairstyle. Definitely worth a little extra money and I'll be coming back for sure.

I love how friendly and welcoming every one is at Salon Del Mar. I enjoy the suggestions of style options, techniques and products. I feel like a princess when I leave. I enjoy that the employees ask each other for input and suggestions, the teamwork atmosphere boosts my confidence in they're suggestions!

I'm in a seemingly endless battle to find someone who works on hair to have a meticulous attention to detail. At Salon Del Mar there is no shortage of detail oriented talent, however, the price directly reflects that idea. I'm not looking for a great deal so someone can mutilate my hair, but I'm also not looking to spend upwards of $80 for a cut without color complimented by a lack of input about new styling techniques I can implement in my routine. The work I received was above average, the employees were kind and courteous, and the atmosphere was comfortable, but the bill was outrageous for what I purchased. At that price I would expect, at the bare minimum, a hot facial towel. With regard to most of my standards being met, one pivotal road block will keep me from returning.

I have been to the salon for haircuts and blow drys since I have been in Santa Fe for the last 4 months. Although I noticed a definite attitude of the staff, I never had an experience like I had 2 days ago. I had an appt for highlights with Mackenzie ( first time for me) and I called ahead of the appointment to say that I may be 15 minutes late.. The receptionist said that was fine but no later or " we may not take you" I said I would be only 15 minutes late. As it turned out I was 17 minutes late for the appointment and I was told that they would not take me! This is outrageous. I called Kevin, the manager, and he was rude -said " I don't care if you give me a bad review. It doesn't matter to us." so here it is. He also accused me of having missed 2 appointments as no shows which is untrue but I guess he felt the need to attack the customer. I would NEVER recommend this hair salon - I have been to the best salons in NYC for years and nothing like this would EVER happen where a client was treated this way. Shame double shame on them

Thousands of RV'g miles into a several month's road trip, I walked in to scope things out, uneasy with having suffered chemical damage to my long grey hair at the hands of someone I knew / who should have known better. I received the warmest welcome, a next-day appointment and the highest professional care. My dried out nasty-to-touch mess is literally now restored to lustrous health. Thank you Jill for exceptional talent and time with lovely you.

I am somewhat on the fence regarding this salon. The shop staff that I have dealt with are exceedingly friendly, the 2 stylists whom have cut my hair were both talented and friendly. However the salon routinely scheduled appointments that were not long enough for the cut to be completed properly, and the stylists have appointments back to back, with no safety net of time between appointments. Some stylists seem to only offer 1 follow up trim appointment per day, at the exact same time daily. This is very unaccomadating if this time does not work with your schedule. The feel of the salon is very nice though, it's a light and airy space, that is very stylishly appointed. They also sell Davine products exclusively, a high-end Italian styling brand. Their products are as good, as they are expensive! Overall a very good salon with a few mild kinks in their delivery.

I have been to several different hair salons in the last 2 years trying to find a hairstylist that I really love and today I found her! The young women who cut my hair, her name was Heidi who is super cute and very friendly! Not only was Heidi (13 years of experience) amazing but as soon as I walked in the door I was greeted by two people with smiles who offered me a variety of beverages! So if you're looking for a friendly, polite and talented hair salon in santa fe I would definitely recommend this place!
