Scarlett is an excellent hair dresser. She completely accommodates all of your requests. And she always lets you know if what you want done might be a bad idea, which is just as important in a hairdresser. Scarlett is some sort of color magician, as far as I can tell. She has made colors look good on me that I bet other hairdressers wouldn't have been able to make work. And she always has fun ideas about how to mix certain colors so that you end up pleasantly surprised at how much cooler your hair looks than you had initially imagined. I always leave feeling like I got what I wanted or better and I always get lots of compliments !

Got my bangs cut by Erika....... and lets just say.... I LOVE THEM. I feel like a new person and she cut my bangs according to my facial structure which is very important to me. I was very impressed and shes incredibly nice and easy to talk to! Super cool environment as well.

If you have the right look and they know you, you might get a different attitude. I came in after work in my professional clothes, 40+ years old, no tattoos or piercing and was the odd woman out. I was also made to feel that. I was ignored for a about twenty minutes after I checked in. When she finally attended to me, Scarlett was rude, and would not engage despite my best attempts to carry out a polite conversation. She stopped cutting my hair a few times to help other stylists with different errands and to answer her cell, all while chatting with the her co-workers. She did not do any damage, but she barely cut my hair. An hour after the haircut I looked just like when I stepped in (and I needed a haircut!). I guess the only damage was to my wallet, and to my self esteem. I am sure that she is a talented artist/stylist, but I just was not inspirational enough.

The friendliest and BEST hairstylists- David Maestas!! I always have a great time when I go there! They play great music have fab products and the most comfortable shampoo chairs I've literally ever sat in!!! Love this place and the people.

Tony is honestly one of the best hair stylist I've had, and I'm coming from Chicago where I was spoiled with a couple friends that went to Pivot Point. I couldn't believe I was just able to walk in my first time there because you'd think this guy would have been totally booked! I came out of there looking my best that I have in years! Everyone there is really friendly and awesome, and they genuinely know their stuff about hair. They are the most affordable place for the best quality in town--I can honestly say that because I've been to way too many places in ABQ that screwed up my hair for way too much money. Thank you, Tony and Rockit for existing and saving my unruly hair!

I’m not usually one of those people that take the time to write a review of something. Be it food, a book, a restaurant, an album, a great second hand store, a hidden jewel of an antique shop, a massage therapist. Being moved to the point of writing about it is, for me (and when I look around, unless you are paid to review) for others too. Now writing a negative review, that’s a whole different ball game. I won’t go down that path other than to say when it comes to trashing people; it has been my experience that those people are willing to shout their displeasure from the tallest buildings around. As I ponder this enigma, people readily and publicly denouncing a person’s talent vs. people who put pen to paper, or rather, fingers to the keyboard, to shout from our laptops, twitter feeds, Facebook, or any other technological way of communication since that clearly is where the action is, I personally believe and from this day forward will do, should spend equal amount of energy supporting and holding up our sister and brothers. This world is harsh enough. Let’s, whenever possible, share the good finds, the special things. So, as I said, I’m not that chick who actually sits down and writes a review. I’m no that person, that person who takes several hours to craft the review that will draw the reader in, not to be glimpsed over, or worse, somehow deleted. Ok, here we go: I have met and personally experienced someone I am deeply moved by. And I do have the bandwidth to recognize when I’ve come into contact with a true and humble greatness. When the unique talent is so rare and over the top consistently fabulous, there really is not choice in the matter. For me, I simply must shine a light on such a being. That “being” of Rockit Hair Studio, Scarlett Red. It’s true, I’ve met someone, a very special someone and I’m not talking romance here. I’m taking about a unique creative talent that so rarely appears that when it does, we must shine a light on her and share the wealth, the news. As a woman I feel so grateful when I have the opportunity to hold another woman up. How to describe Ms Red? First, I should tell you that I come from a family of people that were in the high fashion modeling business, so I have much to draw from when I compare talents because I’ve seen the best, from NY to LA and across the ocean to London and Paris. Ms. Scarlett Red and her unwavering, creative talent puts this group of people to shame. I’m not sure how to even characterize Scarlett: colorist; stylist; teacher; extension installations; there simply isn’t just one word or one place to compartmentalize Ms. Red in. For Scarlett has that certain something that can’t be learned or taught, or molded into a box. No, Scarlett’s raw talent combined with her awesome creativity is so unique, it’s rarely found. To boot, Scarlett’s humility sets her apart from most people in her field. Ms. Red is genuinely interested in her client’s wishes and desires. She honestly cares about her work, just like a painter cares about his painting, or a writer cares about her novel. We are so very lucky to have this unbelievable rare talent, this woman who, based on personal experience, cares deeply about her clients and remains curious and is always in tune with the latest goings on in the industry. I say, YAHOO, and KUDOS to Ms. Scarlett Red. Thank you for all you do. It’s more than hair or color. Scarlett is a true artist. A major creative force that is just beginning to take off. Be sure to catch the ride or you’ll be left behind.

I go to Rockit to see Liz for my hair. She is amazing. Liz is very skilled and knows how to cut hair in the most flattering way for your hair type and look. I was immediately comfortable and confident after the first haircut with her and wouldn't go to anyone else now! Rockit is clean and fun. 6 stars out of 5!

Horrible service - wish there were Zero Stars option. I bought a Groupon for this place for "Tony." I left four messages because you never get a human being to answer - just goes to voicemail. None of my four calls were returned. The voicemail message says to go to the website to book an appointment. So, went to the website. There's nobody named Tony even listed. Got my money refunded from Groupon. Let me save you from wasting your time & aggravation. Just don't.

One of the worst haircuts of my life. Ended up having to see a professional to get it fixed and it cost me another 100 dollars. I give them credit for trying, however I am not sure they had any idea what they were doing. It was jagged, uneven, and had a strange shape... The new hair dresser who helped me even said "Yeah that's pretty bad." So overall I spend like 200 for just a haircut, including going back like three times to try to get them to fix it and then finally seeing a real professional who knew what she was doing. Never again! I gave them two stars because they genuinely did try, they just didn't know what they were doing. They also forced me to pay again to repair the mistakes they had made, not the full amount, but I have never been charged anything to get a haircut fixed.
