Sarah has to be the best colorist I have ever had. What she can do with the "reds" is absolutely amazing. Her haircuts are fabulous. The staff makes you feel like family. Sarah thank you for always making me feel so beautiful!! Love this salon!

I scheduled a blow out 3 hours before my flight to Las Vegas for a ladies weekend. I usually get my hair done there but I was cutting it short. I got to my appointment early was called back about 15 minutes late and the stylist made a face and made a rude comment about not having enough time for my blow out because my hair is long. I told her that I had made an appointment and I was there early. She sighed so I got out of the chair, grabbed my purse and walked out. I will never go back!!

I love this place. I have been going to Rick ever since he opened this salon, and before :~), and couldn't be more happy. I get compliments on my hair all of the time! Also a big fan the Dermalogica product line they carry. I started taking my daughter to Melissa who has given her great cuts and different styles. It's not easy to please a teenager!

Went for a color and a cut with Jonathan. Cut and style was good but color was not what I asked for. I wanted blonde and even picked out the color sample. What I got was light brown....NOT WHAT I ASKED FOR!

I scheduled my appointment a month in advance and was very clear that I was coming for a blowout and style for engagement photos. I felt that I was pretty clear about what I wanted. The owner was my stylist. What he did I felt I could have just done at home. It seemed like he maybe used the curling iron once? I was ready disappointed and didn't have time before my photos to fix my hair myself (engagement photos are super expensive and I wanted to look like a star...I ended up looking like a teenager who didn't know how to curl her hair). I would not reccomend coming here for a style. I was so sad. $45 down the drain.

I just got an amazing haircut from Jonathan Castro. I said I wanted a trim to get rid of the damaged ends, without losing very much length, and I got that and more. I left feeling like my hair was thicker, longer, and bouncier. Jonathan was wonderful, and had an awesome haircut himself. Plus, he gave excellent tips on how to blow-dry my own hair for best volume. Highly recommended!

My hair cutter was pleasant but did not communicate his plans for my hair. I ended up with severely layered hair and neither of us said the word "layer" during my appointment. I was also unimpressed with the atmosphere. it felt like what I would imagine a hair salon in new York would be like. Very cold and unwelcoming. I will never return. Not even to have them fix their mistake.

I went in to this salon to simply have a base professional color job. I have been doing my own hair for a long time, very well. I am complimented nearly every day about my hair. But, I know there are places that are hard to reach and I wanted them to just get it all parts of my head consistent. I was booked with Mario who I shared both a photo of what my hair color looks like on a celebrity (warm strawberry blond)...as well as me being in front of him with the color I want. I WAS IN NO WAY LOOKING TO CHANGE THE COLOR AS I INDICATED over and over. We worked together to identify the blend of the right mix and he seemed to struggle with what would be the obvious choices. I should have listened to my intuition that as he was not the colorist I needed, but I tend to give people benefit of the doubt. The owner Rick was there both the day of the consultation and the next day. Bottom line, I was horrified to get what I got. My hair was 180 degrees different from what my normal color is. It turned out this weird, mousy, brownish bluish red, dull ugly color that in NO WAY looked even close to what I asked for. When Mario was combing me out and blow drying, Rick never once asked me if this was satisfactory though I suspect he was aware of how odd and different this was from my own color. There were other customers in this place and I was not going to pitch a fit in front of everyone. Everyone can make mistakes, but the fact that this was so outside of what I asked for, and both seemed so clueless or didn't care at how OFF this was, gives me the reason for writing this post. Go somewhere else.

I have been going to Rick to get my hair cut for over ten years (yikes! Maybe even longer!). I cannot imagine going to any other salon! Rick and his staff are always very professional and friendly. Recently, Rick colored my hair (I had not colored it in over 20 years!) and I LOVE IT! It was hard for me to make a change, but I did it and I knew I could trust Rick's recommendation. I always look forward to going to Chrysalis because I know I will receive top quality service and I will get to RELAX!

the owner is one bizarre a-hole who treats his customers (me) with total disrespect. he has a typical woo-woo Santa fe approach and needs to "feel the vibe " before he cuts your hair.....he didn't feel the vibe with me and insulted me in front of a store full of customers.....

Rick always worked with what I wanted, but added plenty of his own expertise to make my hair cut the best it could be.
