Tribe salon is not a typical salon. It has real a community feel and reminds me of a salon out of New York or San Francisco. I have had my hair cut and colored by two different stylist Josie and Ross. They were both personable and did exactly what I wanted. Tribe also carries Orbie surf comber my favorite product. It's perfect for short male curly hair.

Okay... Short and simple here. Mia. Is. FANTASTIC. I can't speak highly enough of her. Best haircuts. Best conversations. Best overall experience. The Salon is always clean and welcoming, which is great, but in the end, it comes down to Mia for me. It took me a year to find her after moving to Reno. I finally have a haircut home! I had the opportunity of meeting the Salon Owner, Manager and staff there recently and fell in love! Everyone is so incredibly friendly, welcoming and make you feel at home. I still can't get over how adorable this place is, the owner described it as 'vintage-bohemian' and I couldn't agree more. I now want my house to look like this. Monique took the time to clearly ask me what I was looking for, what I liked and what I didn't like. She listened and got it perfect. From the cut, to the beautifully blended tones of blond on my naturally dark brown hair and the perfect cut, I am very pleased and would highly recommend Monique. Tribe has a great vibe. Darlene has helped me with a big problem...my stick straight hair is a a terrible length as a I grow it out. My curly, Shirley perm will keep me sane with low maintenance until my hair grows to shoulder length (again!) The design of the salon is fresh and super clean. Check it out!

This is "the" Reno hair salon with a unique urban flair and vintage decor. Has a friendly environment, edgy and fantastic atmosphere. The salon is very comfortable and offers free wfi and it is easy to just pull out your laptop and have a cup of coffee and hang out.

It's refreshing to find a a salon that doesn't try to bombard you with high pressured sales pitch to buy $150 worth of product before you leave. Josie is a 5 star stylist with vast knowledge and creativity. She really tunes in to the soul of your hair. I'm glad I made the choice to go to this Salon!

The best salon experience! Ross is great with my bleach and tone so I can regularly change my hair from blues to purple, lavender and back. Josie recently gave me a fantastic new shag haircut that I LOVE! All their stylists are friendly and talented, staying up to date on the current trends by attending classes across the country. They also have several stylists that are seasoned makeup artists and wedding hair stylists. And just in case that wasn't enough, they have a fabulous in-house photographer, Craig Hansen. He is fun and friendly and has great packages available for family photos, pet portraits and special events. You have to give this place a try - you will not be disappointed!

Hands down the best salon in the Reno area! Andrea Hansen is amazing she can cut my unruly curly hair into perfection. She has flawlessly helped me go from black hair to bright mermaid colors WITHOUT damaging my hair! Andrea, and most of the staff keep up with hair trends and techniques attending courses through the year. Andrea also rocks beautiful more traditional color and looks, a true hair goddess! The rest of the staff is so friendly and the space is cute and chic! Ross and Josie are super stylists as well!

The salon was super clean, the stylists are all super cool. they offered beverages, and were super helpful when I couldn't make up my mind about what to do with my hair. I went in Yesterday for the first time to see Monique. I moved up to Reno in August 2017 and had yet to get my hair done in the area. I would drive to my old stylist because it’s tough letting go am I right?! She was AMAZING! I had a mishap with at home coloring; my roots and overall hair tone were all out of whack. I made the appointment Tuesday afternoon and they were able to get me in super quick. Monique sat down with me and asked me about my hair history, asked for reference pictures, and really laid out a plan of attack for how to fix my hair AND give me what I was looking for at the same time. She is very down to earth and easy to talk to. Hair stylists I’ve been to in the past (at other salons) have been over the top with their customer service voices and overall way of acting when working with new clients, but Monique was real and she made me laugh. The salon itself was really inviting and a few of the stylists joined in in conversation and talking about my hair transformation. I loved the experience and I will definitely be coming back to see Monique!
