So glad I made an appointment and had Kelly fix me up. I've never felt better about my hair and I look 10 years younger thanks to her clever highlighting. Very upscale salon yet affordable. Great upbeat atmosphere with knowledgeable, professional staff. Will definitely be making regular tips back to keep my hair looking fabulous!

What a relaxing salon with beautiful decor and lighting with a great view of the mountains. Belle is very talented and a pleasure to talk to, but the most important part is what she did for my hair. I recently had a beautiful ombre done and needed a root touch up. She saved the ombre and combed down the color in the root area paying a lot of attention to detail, rather than cover up the new highlights, like some other stylists have done in the past.

Stylist (don't remember who) nicked back of my head, leaving a bald patch. She failed to mention it until I asked to see the back of my head using the mirror. She then lied to me, saying it was due to a scar I had. No stylist has ever had this issue before with me and I never had any sort of head trauma that would cause scarring on that side of my head. It's one thing to make a mistake, but to make a mistake and lie to a client is repulsive. I will never be going back here.

I had my hair washed, cut and styled by Kelly today and it's amazing! Not only is she friendly and really open to discussing your needs, she is professional and smiles a lot! My hair looks AMAZING! Might I add, she didn't try to sell anything to me... Wasn't pushy, didn't try to force any cut or treatment on me, just listened and responded. I love that! My biggest pet peeve is being told to purchase a $40 treatment when all I want is a cut! Im the most picky hair client I know and I was 100% happy. My hair is shiny and vibrant! I am a loyal Kelly customer from now on. Oh and the salon is gorgeous! Really clean and well put together.

Ciera is the best hair professional I have ever been to!!! I am only sorry I didn't come to Hair Standard, sooner! I have very thick-long hair and every stylist I have ever gone to struggle and get intimidated by my hair, but not Ciera, she was so confident and the timing was perfect!! I have always been a true brunette and finally decided that I wanted to make a drastic change to my look. I searched the web visited many salons but for some reason something about THS caught my eye. I am so happy that I chose this salon. My hair dresser was Belle and let me just say that she worked magic on my hair. She took my idea and gave it a twist which worked so perfectly. I am now sporting a balayage look with all different shades of caramel. My hair cut is on point as well and I have never had so many compliments from my friends and family EVER!!!!! She took as much time as my hair needed and was extreamly careful with my thin hair. The results were amazing, way better than what I expected! I would totally recomend her!

I went to this salon with high expectations considering all of the reviews, but at this point I feel very disappointed. I initially got my hair colored multiple colors to try to do something fun with my hair. I used the shampoo and conditioner i was advised to purchase from their salon, (even though I was worried with all the sulfates it had in it) washed it every three to four days and still the color came out of my hair. The haircut I got was rushed and my hair is completely uneven, including my bangs which were cut back too far and look awful. The only reason I am giving two stars is because they attempted to fix my hair; However, I am also left with unusable product I paid for after this attempt because my stylist insisted on filling it with purple dye to try to put more color in my hair. It is supposed to be a very dark purple, and it is completely brown with other odd colors at this point. UPDATE: After speaking with the owner (Kelly) following the response from her husband, we expected there would be some form of resolution. Instead, what we were given was a week of delays and excuses to in the end be told the responsibility fell on the stylist, who didn't want to do anything else, and that it is difficult to give a guarantee on hair services (Though her husband's reply plainly states their 100% satisfaction guarantee will always stand). Apparently it only stands as long as they are never asked to honour it. I have reduced my rating to one star, and would do less if possible. If you have a guarantee, honour it.

The Hair Standard is a classy salon with very talented stylists. My husband and I both see BONNIE, and we have been going to her for over ten years. I trust her completely with my hair. She has taken me from blonde...to dark...to ombre...back to blonde...and even a little pastel pink a couple of times! I love that when I say, "I want it blonde, but not TOO blonde, but kind of golden and also beige," she knows exactly what I'm talking about and gets my color perfect every time. Over the decade I have gone to BONNIE, we've also done short cuts, long cuts, bangs...you name it. I always receive compliments on my hair and it's all because of my girl, Bonnie. She's the best!

Went in there today as a walk-in. Only two people were working. Receptionist seemed annoyed that I did not have an appointment. They do not have the schedules of the styists that are coming in later. Two sylists that were working claimed they were completely booked. I left my number for someone to call me to set up an appointment. Of course, no one called. That's OK...went to another place and got a fabulous haircut...and was treated with respect.

One of the most comfortable hair salons ever. Everything is really well kept up, and I haven't met a bad staff member yet. Everyone seems happy there. I love the decor... it's relaxing. It's like 80% modern, 20% old fashioned/classic. Not agressively modern like they're trying to be a club, but still very shiny and smart. I had a great time talking to Kelly, and she really knows what she's doing... not just with hair, but with business, and keeping up with modern styles, and just being a sharp, fun person. Really enjoyed my time with her. Their location is pretty far from my house, but I'm still willing to make the trip, so that says something I think. Five stars all the way.

I read the reviews trying to find a good salon that can do blonde. I was hesitant to go. I usually get highlight root touch ups that lifts to a nice blonde without needing a toner 2 hrs max. I have shoulder length hair. I booked online full highlight $115. I get there Belle (my stylist) tells me it will be $200 for full baby lights. I showed her the picture of the shade of blonde I wanted from the past. I don't like the silver grey look. I told her I don't want a toner on it at the shampoo bowl. She got rude and said, " let me do my thing." I said okay so its orange yellow color then? She said, "no its not orange and laughed." I said so in a few weeks its just going to be orange/yellow again. She said, "not necessarily." So she put the toner on it and now its a silvery grey color which I clearly did not want. I told her I have a stylist in another state that lifts my hair to a nice white blonde without a toner and no breakage many times. After my appointment she sent me a text message instead of talking to me while I was there. She said you can come back and I will tone your hair for free if you feel the toner fades (toner is cheap lol). Or use purple shampoo at home. I told her during the service I don't like to use my purple shampoo and I never even wanted toner in the first place??? The service cost $200, and not what I asked for! I was there for 4 full hours and she was rude!

The worst experience...I read so many nice things about kelly so I requested her. She chopped my hair off its literally bombed. I asked for a shag, been growing my hair out forever to get it to length that would be easy to work with and she mangled my hair. Im quite embarred to let people look at me.

THE MOST HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE IN MY LIFE! My husband works on a Navy Ship and I don’t have anybody to leave my child with. Only nannies and baby sitters. So I have to pay 12/h to the babysitter in order for me to go and color my hair across the town. I made an appointment with this salon for the first time in my life and I It takes me a while to choose a good one. So based on all the reviews I decided to give it a try. When I arrived they Gave me coffee , then I met My hairstylist Jen, and then I explained her what I want to have. Just color the roots , put a toner and trim the ends. Sounds like not a hard job for s professional hair stylist that works in a salon with the loud name “The Hair Standart”. She said ok , I’ll go mix up your colors. I was waiting patiently and in a very good mood, exited to look beautiful, and then she returned and said she won’t color my hair , because she won’t satisfy me and it’s better for me to find another salon. I can’t find another salon in one day!!!! I have an important event tomorrow to go to. And I wanted to color my hair before that event so I would look fresh and beautiful!!! Then she said I can’t help you and called the manager. The manager was saying the same thing about not satisfying me and kept recommending me a different salon. Because they are more professional in hairs like mine! But they don’t have any opening right now but they can take me in just to make an appointment for the future. FUTURE???? I NEED it today!!!! They just don’t care what you need! They care only about them selves. They saw me crying and being upset and were laughing and smiling in my face. I started to record a video of her, asking to explain why they are refusing to color my hair , and she just left! What was that? 21 century! I never ever in my life had to experience anything like this before. I will never return here, I will say to everyone never ever to go here! And I will write my review everywhere I can. Because people should hear the truth and this is not the way you should treat your clients that rely on you and your professionalism. Now I’m sitting in my car crying, already owing my babysitter $24 for two hours , I’m having an event tomorrow and still didn’t color my hair!!! And don’t know where to go!

I have been searching for a new salon and stylist for almost a year. Ive tried several places, spent way too much money and still haven’t been happy. After seeing how involved the owner of The Hair Standard is just on the comments here I felt like I had found a good place. FINALLY! I was with Destiny today and she didn’t give up on me. Such a horrible experience they wasted my time and made me drive 30 miles to find out that Lindsey the staylist was over booked and she put me at 4 pm for hair color and highlights while they close at 6. I told them when I booked the appointment are you sure this is enough time and they said yes. When I got there Lindsey was on her 1 hour break and came back at 4 pm then she wasted 20 minutes arguing with me that it’s color correction. I didn’t have problem all what I wanted is the process so I told her how long does it take to test the hair and she said it takes 10 minutes then I said well then after that we can do something with my hair and she said I have other appointments! How could a stylists book other appointments when she knows she only has 2 hours left of her day and she is doing hair color and highlights. She doesn’t care for building relationships and all what they care for is making money. Very disappointing and then the owner came in and start siding with her stylist I walked out and would never go back to this place. They need to learn time management and respecting peoples time and schedules. So sad!

I went in for the first time today, was greeted by 3 friendly ladies. I had terrible dry/dead/ green hair. I had silver hair before and it transitioned to a very ugly green and it took a lot of tries and dedication to figure out exactly how to get it out. Suzanna is an INCREDIBLE hairstylist and an even more amazing person. She kept me informed the whole time about what was going on with my hair and what steps we would have to take next. If you have hair trust issues, (like I do) this is the salon to trust!! I haven't let anyone cut my hair for 5 years until today because I was assured that I was in good hands.
