I do not recommend anyone to this hair salon. I was a regular customer here but with my recent experience I will not come back. Firstly when I got there the door was locked and someone had to unlock it to let me in. I thought there was an active threat at this salon for them to lock the door after each and every customer comes in and leaves out. I felt someone was being stalked at the salon and as a result that's why they had to lock the door after every customer. Two: I went to a braid specialist who was shown the braid style that I wanted. But after an hour of braiding two or three braids she finally told me that she couldn't do it because I had too much hair. Okay I understand but why wait after one hour after doing 2 or 3 braids in my hair to tell me you couldn't braid the style I wanted. So one hour wasted out of my appointment, actually more than that because I had to decide on another style and who was going to braid it. Three: the stylist was so fascinated with my hair that she took pictures of my head without my permission to show it to her mom. It was an invasion of my privacy and I was very angry. PLUS I had my child sitting in my lap, she was way over the line of unprofessional and inappropriate. At this point I just wanted to hurry up and get my hair done. Four: They had a business group meeting in front of me and my child privy to information customers should not hear. Even if it is as simple as workers calling in, calling off whatever. Five: The specialist said that the style I wanted was too complex which it wasn't. I would have respected the situation more if she would have kept it as I had too much hair or she just didn't know how to do it. Bottom line she didn't want to do the work in my opinion. Six: I kept telling the specialist not to braid tightly and she continued braiding tightly. On a few of my box braids you can see the scalp being tugged on way too tight. The women who I've seen before Fatima and Annette are always a joy seeing. These are kind and warm hearted women, I'm just disappointed with the service because it was a disgrace with the new stylists. The prices are very high with no breakdown of the receipt summary for instance the style is $150 plus 2 packs of hair at $10 per bag so your total is $170. I love Black Owned Businesses but this time my sisters lost me for good. My hair came out good, it wasn't the style I wanted but the service was terrible. Please do not waste your time and money here.

Its a great atmosphere a great upgrade the people are nice. I've been here before and always treated professionally. Although today Im a little disappointed with my hair style as it didn't turn out how I expected. I received a good price but just not what I had hoped for. Update to 1 week later my hairstyle barely lasted 1 week. My braids begin unraveling & I called to discuss this situation and no one returned my call.

I don't even know where to start... Unprofessional assistant to begin with. Has the attention span on a 7 year old and talks to other people while you're trying to talk to her. I called to get a quote (& sent a picture of the exact style i wanted). Was quoted a price of 180 including the hair, which is the only reason i didn't buy hair from a beauty supply- Ended up paying 250. For some reason it was really difficult for them to figure out what size I wanted my braids. Took 3 people to figure it out and they still didn't get it right. Not to mention, they burn your actual hair with a lighter. I have never heard of anyone doing this. Usually, you burn the kanekalon hair, not someone's actual hair. Kept asking her to not burn it but she was really persistent about burning my hair off. Shortly after, here comes their assistant to take payment when the woman isn't even halfway done with my hair. What kind of shop doesn't wait until after you're done to take payment ?! Didnt even ask if i was satisfied so far... So I paid 250 for braids i didn't want and burnt hair. Please do not spend your money here.

Quality work, but over priced. I was quoted 1 thing via email, but told something else upon arrival. I have had my hair braided MANY times in MANY states, but never had this experience. I only allowed them to do my hair because I had a short timeline, despite me calling to make an appointment and waiting nearly 30 mins before I was seen. I doubt I will return, unless again, I am under a tight deadline. And next time, I will not worry about making an appointment. I only gave 3 stars because the service was quick and I did like my hair. I wish your business well.

I googled this salon in my area and they were basically the only one opened in my area. So I booked it and it gave me a price. I called they gave another price... after the braided asked me what type of hair style i wanted i told her to freestyle and she insisted i find her a style. So I did and after like 2hr of braiding she hit me with another price... the whole time I'm sitting in the chair they are speaking in ther language and I know there talking about me because they look at you after they say something. But I dont care people talk about people all the time....I'm glad i brought more money then what they told me over the phone. All in all the braider did a really good job. But for the price, I'm Good. Going back to Los Angeles

I specifically asked for a certain size cornrows and my hair came out bigger than what I asked for. On top of the fact that my individual Braids in the back were noticeably smaller than the cornrow size. They charge extra for the packs of hair and that would have been fine if they told me before I sat in the chair. They are nice people but I am disappointed.

Booking appointments online does not guarantee who will do your hair and at what time. Braids had to be rushed since they started over an hour late and a lot of my hair was not tucked into braid leaving to them trimming off my hair when they were trying to make the braids look good. Braider was nice but the way the shop is ran is not good. Seems like they are trying to fill seats and not worried about quality

First, let me say that I've seen their work with braids, and they're done very wel. Only thing, they're experience is on individual braids. Made an appointment to get my daughter's cornrows (4 cornrows). The appointment was at 10am, but they didn't start braiding her hair till 11:25am because they were arguing over who would do her hair. I had errands to run, so I said I could return a different time, but Anja took over and started her cornrows. Not only do they not know how to do naturally long curly hair, but the style looked nothing like the picture I took. On top of that, her hair had a lot of freeze so I was told to put gel on her hair because they had run out of hair product. Keep in mind, my appointment was set a week earlier.

First of all I'm not with the musical chairs, one person starts on your hair then they want you to go to another chair where someone total different finishes your hair which leaves inconsistencies because everyone braids differently. Second of all I got kinky twists and they are so fat and thick they remind me of the old school dookie braids. Yep they got me this first time, never again.

I had a 10am appointment and When I called to say I was around the corner. Adja sounded like she was asleep and forgot I had an appointment. I get to the shop, and they are confused on how much I was quoted. And what I was getting. Adja wasn't there and I was told her mom would be braiding my hair. My appointment didn't start till 10:40. And I wanted triangle parts/simple enough if you're a braider, but her mom and the other woman didn't know how to do it. So adja shows up tells me that she is going to be busy with a weave and won't be with me. she tells me they can only do square parts. I let her know that wasn't acceptable and if she could show the women how to do the part. She proceeds to do so. And tied my parts in elastic bands. And this is how the ladies work on my whole head, tied w/elastic bands. My braids are not lower back level, or full medium length- which can be done by adding hair when it thins. Which some of my braids had done to them. The majority especially in the front where extremely short, and thin. The women constantly complained about my hair style being difficult, and were quite tough brushing,combing out my hair. As well as they left too much out and uneven amount of baby hair. I paid $230 w/a $25 tip. And I feel I was ripped off. If they wanted more money to do a better job the way I wanted they should have said so. The only reason I tipped is because the one woman gave me some west African goat rice. I doubt I will be back to give them a chance to fix the terrible job that was done.

Best braiding in Vegas whatever style you pick the girls can do it. Staff is very professional. Shop is very clean. Don't have to stay their all day. Price is reasonal, you get your money worth. I am so glad i found them. I would never go anywhere else to get my hair done. The girls can weave, perm, dred locs not just for braiding. Whatever you want they will do it. Seem like ADja brought them here for work but didn't train them on how to braid using lighters burning your hair braids not the same size I had a horrible experience to will never go back again I saw one lady made them take her braids down 4 times because they couldn't get it right adja need to close down and train her staff the new updated way and really show them right because if this was my business I would be embarrassed got a shop full of women and can't none of them braid or understand the style that your looking for hot mess got good clients top clients but can't keep them because none of her braiders know how to braid

Poor customer service here. I was looking for someone to braid my hair (specifically BLACK Hair) and I reached out to Adja via her website. I wanted individuals and she stated the prices vary which I understood however she never gave me an actual price range. That left me iffy. I like transparency and have been lied to before by another African braiding shop so that was a red flag. I decided not to get the individuals because I wasn't sure if I would have enough if they decided to overcharge. Plus she had me going to her other location trying to "squeeze " me in. I asked her about a simple braided ponytail and sent a picture and she said $100.00. I politely declined and asked her to cancelled my appointment. Our communication was via text and she replied rudely saying " next time give 24 hours". That was it for me. Horrible first impression. I got my pony done for $65 ..becareful they will overcharge..shop around.

By far my worst experience here. It took them 9 hours to do my Senegalese twists and I have a mini fro. Even when my hair was longer it never took 9 hours for this. To make matters worse one of the ladies doing my daughters braids had her phone in her hand every few minutes. I'm highly disappointed!
