I thought so hard about putting up this review and I’m just so disappointed. The person who waxed me did not get all the hair off and I had to come back ten minutes later, she seemed upset that I was coming back but for the outrageous price I paid of course I was going to come back. I paid $50 for my thighs and it is about four days later the hair is already back. And she missed swathes of my thighs. I’m pretty upset and will not be going back.

I went in for a brizilian wax, letting the lady know it was my first time. She was pleasant enough with talking time through the process (before I had gotten undressed and waited) and keeping conversation going but that’s where the good part of the visit ended. I feel like she was very rushed through the process and was very unprofessional with how the wax was carried out. I was told to clean myself with baby wipes when I first walked into the room which was fine. After I was laying on the table, she walked in and went straight to work. She did not use any of the prep cream, no baby powder on my skin or anything to protect my skin really. She did the wax very quickly rushing through the process as the bikini wax took her just 35ish minutes to complete the whole visit. When she was finished she didn’t ask how I felt about the wax or if I thought she missed any places, which she most certainly did. After I left it looked like I still needed to shave! I had hair left ALL OVER that was still longer than a quarter inch! It has been multiple days since my visit and my area is still so red and inflamed as more skin was taken off than hair. I got a facial wax after the Brazilian was done (I wouldn’t have gotten the face wax if I had seen the state of my lady bits!!) and the same body wax was used on my face as she had just used on my Brazilian, with no prepping of my skin there either. Overall not happy with my visit and I wouldn’t recommend this place for a wax at all.

Got an eyebrow wax with Kelli (I think) she did a great job, asked me how I like my eyebrows to look and was more than willing to make a correction when I wanted one a bit more shaped. The wax wasn't overly hot and they had a soothing lotion for my skin aftert, so there was no redness. I will definitely get a wax from here again.

The lady that cut my hair was awesome she charged me 5 dollars to trim my hair. With a 50 percent tip it cost me 10 dollars. My fiancee got her hair cut their and it looks awesome and she loves it. She gets her nails done their monthly and they are always beautiful. There is such s positive energy in the place Everyone is kind, curtious, and wonderful. Forget great clips. I say it's his alibi as well.

I've been going here off ad on for a little while because I always thought the people were so nice, but after this last experience I won't be going back. Long story short, they messed up my hair the first time (gave me blonde instead of red and did the tips instead of a balayage) but they let me have a free appointment to fix the mistakes. All was okay until I asked for a different girl than the one who originally did my hair. They then became very rude and openly began lecturing me about why this is my fault. Not only was that experience extremely embarrassing, but it was pointless as well. All of the color bled out of my hair within a few days. Found a much better salon in town who has had to fix Her Alibi's mess ups before.

I like how I was greeted coming in, but going in for an eyebrow wax was not the best choice. Probably worst eyebrow job I've had so far. She did not ask what shape I wanted them, did not clean them correctly, pluck them or trim them like they should be. Very nice lady but showed no eyebrow waxing experience.

The service here is always exceptional! I get the men's cut and style, so that they wash my hair before I leave to get out all of the little hair chunks. I have been to other hair places in town and paid about the same as what I pay at Her Alibi, but none of them have come close to the service and the quality haircut that I get here. They are usually very busy, so it's best to plan ahead when calling for an appointment. They do not take walk-ins so you may not be able to get something on the same day, but it is totally worth waiting for a haircut from Her Alibi.

I have had many different services done by Ashley G and she is great, from my amazing cuts and colors to getting waxed. If you have ever had a bad experience with any type of wax service (like I have) give Ashley a call because she is very professional and will not disappoint. I got an underarm wax with Shawn. She was lovely, the wax room was clean and private, but my skin was broken out for a full five days after. She used the tea tree soft wax and some product after. I've never had such a bad reaction to a waxing. The salon itself was very noisy, good if you're into the social experience but not a spa day oasis. I won't be back.

My Son wanted to have his girlfriend pampered for the day, so he took his girlfriend to Her Alibi in Helena. She was there from 10 am to closing time. She had her nails, facial, massage and her hair high lighted. After this very long day, they go back home to see her hair was not cut evenly nor her high light were evenly spread out, they were thick and uneven. I called to talk to the Manager and she was kind to schedule my son's girlfriend in for the next day. We went to her appointment and I dropped her off, she text me back and said the same girl was going to work on her and the Manager wasn't very nice to her. Never again will we ever go back to this salon, pretty inside but that's about it.

After almost a year as a client, I received the worst haircut EVER!. Rushed through the appointment, didn't care, didn't LISTEN. Did exactly what I asked her NOT TO DO. Prices change from appointment to appointment. The salon is like a room in a warehouse. Could have lived with that if the service had delivered. Avoid this place.

I emailed a review directly to the salon and received no reply. My hair dresser bleached my entire dark brown hair and the either forgot to place the brown dye I selected or it washed out. I was left with orange hair. The professionalism is lacking and so is the expertise. Beyond disappointed.

I just want to say how unbelievably thankful I am for Jenna! The stylist that I originally made an appointment with was unable to make my appointment for unforseen reasons. Jenna stayed late, past closing, just to get me in since I am heading out of town in the morning. My hair turned out amazing, and I have never been happier walking out of a salon than I was tonight! Love the hair and waxing services I receive from Ashley H and wouldn't go anywhere else! I am 6 months pregnant and was in need of a massage (BADLY) I was a little apprehensive to go to a male because I didn't want him to see me in all of my pregnant glory but Ashley reassured me that it would be OK and to just give it a try. I will say Koltan did an AMAZING job! He made me feel very comfortable and worked out a knot that has been bothering me for weeks. I now will not go to anyone else. I diligently researched salons in the Helena area and selected Her Alibi. I haven’t touched my hair in years and really wanted to treat myself to something. So I scheduled an appointment for 11am and they seated me within 10 minutes. Tara was my stylist. I showed her the picture of what I wanted. I wanted to go quite a few shades darker than my natural color and add highlights. She foiled my hair and put me under the drier. She seemed slightly distracted and I had noticed she was working on another gals hair as well. When she was done with the previous client she rinsed and dried my hair. I quickly noticed that she had only given me blonde highlights. It wasn’t what I was expecting but I paid and left the salon. I ended up crying. It was nothing at all what I wanted and I was bummed I paid $125 for it. But I called the next day and explained what happened and expressed my dissatisfaction. They have a 7 day guarantee so they scheduled me for the following Monday at noon and I was relieved that it could be fixed. I showed up at 11:55 and the manager was at the front desk. She remembered me calling and asked to see the photo of what I had wanted. I showed her the picture and explained to her that I wanted a full color a few shades darker with highlights. Like the picture. She told me if that’s what I wanted it would show growth later on. I told her it’s exactly what I wanted. My appointment was scheduled for 12pm and I sat for 40 minutes until they got me in the chair. Tara was again my stylist. I showed her the same photo of what I wanted. There was definitely miscommunication the week prior, as I rarely get my hair done and don’t know the lingo, so we came to a conclusion on how to fix it. She was working on my hair as well as two other ladies this time. After coloring she dried my hair. It was definitely closer to what I wanted so I was happier with the outcome. As a conclusion I am happy that I was able to come back, free of charge, and Tara was able to get my hair closer to what I wanted. I was willing to pay the price for the experience and expertise. But I feel as though it fell short of my expectations. I will probably not return.

Hey everyone I am a newer stylist here at Her Alibi. If I never would have met my coworker Tara in beauty school I wouldn't be where I am today. (Cosmetologist) Shawn, Ashley, Tara, Jenna (myself), Denise (nail tech) and Kolti (masseuse) We all are a great group of girls! We support each other, always promoting one another. It's a fun/laid back atmosphere. We all joke around and have fun with each other. We all have completely different personalities but work so well together. The advance stylist are always so willing to help/reassure any doubt us newer Cosmetologist may have. I have always been about making my clients feel tranquil. Relaxed. I like to crack a lot of jokes and just try to ease any anxiety, concerns, and unfortunate past salon visits. I love to mix it up; such as Women who have curly hair I often try to offer to straighten it and those who have straight hair give them some curls. As for men. Offer product or maybe a new style. I want my clients to leave happier then when they came in. IF for some reason you left unsatisfied with your service we offer a 10 day grace period and fix it for free. Also maybe try a different Cosmetologist. We alI have our different favorite services; one may be stronger in waxing brows but anotherat cutting hair. We always strive to keep our clients within the salon, no matter what Cosmetologist/ Nail Tech/ or Masseuse you see as long as you give us all a chance. I absolutely love my job and all the people I work with. I never dread coming to work and that's not something a lot of people can say!! Also a huge THANK YOU to all the clients who have given me the chance to pamper them! I wouldn't be where I am without any of you!

I went in for a gel manicure the day before I left for vacation. The girl that did my nails was sort of talkative and friendly but the other employees seemed to be where her focus of conversation was. The whole manicure felt rushed and only took 20 minutes. She pushed back my cuticles and filed my nails but there was no trimming of hang nails or any shaping up of my nail area at all. She applied lotion at the end but did not do a "hand massage" like I always have done at other salons in the past. It was quite dark in the actual salon so when I got in the car I was surprised to see that there were air bubbles in almost all of my nails, parts of my nails with no polish at all, areas where there was no top coat, black gel polish on my cuticles/skin and a very sloppy/uneven manicure all around. One nail peeled off the next day and I had to buy polish to cover it up during my vacation. The rest of the nails lasted 4 days even being extremely careful with them. For spending the most I ever have for a manicure I was not pleased and will choose a different salon in the future.

I had my haircut today. I don't even know who cut it because she did not even introduce herself. She was borderline rude and dismissive. She spent maybe 5 minutes cutting my hair. Tried to blow dry it but half way through said it was getting to frizzy. Left the salon with wet hair and absolutely no style.
