I have never been to burtons before yesterday, but I was very impressed and satisfied with my service. I went in for a bayalage (sp?) color, and booked with Cami. She did an excellent job at explaining what I could expect with hair like mine, so that I had no false expectations that my hair would look exactly like the picture I brought. She was very friendly, and I was extremely happy with my results. I am finacially unable to treat myself to a salon often, but I will be going back again the next time I treat myself.

Somehow she cuts my hair in a way that it grows out nicely, so it looks good at all times (I didn't even know this was possible!) She's a pro at color and will be totally honest about what will look good. I've had everything from long platinum hair to asymmetric cuts to now short/brunette, and I LOVE my hair every time. I cannot recommend her enough!

The person who did my wax did a great job about communicating and was friendly, however the job was done very poorly. After I got home I noticed the places she waxed still had hair and not just a little hair a lot of it. And the wax was over charged for the quality of work that was done. I was lowkey upset when I got home. Also the advertising for prices online are not consistent with the actual price after the job is done in the store. This not only goes for waxes but also for hair.

She was completely attentive to what I wanted and talked me through how we could go about getting it, and totally upfront about the process (i.e. making sure I knew that the color I was getting (pink!) would fade over time, etc.). Love this place! From the moment you walk in you are greeted by friendly staff who are eager to help you. When I first started going here my hair was in really bad condition. Tina took the time to ask questions and educate me on the factors that were causing this and help me make a plan to get my hair healthy. Their deep conditioning treatments were wonderful and switching to salon hair dye really made a difference. That was about a year ago and I can't believe the change! It's now long, full, and healthy! I get many compliments from strangers on my hair. I love all the ladies and how they treat you like you are one of the family. I have had many wonderful relaxing manicures and pedicures from both Kate and Nicole. Their artistry is amazing. I made an appointment here after another salon had butchered my hair. Online they advertised the blonde ombre to be about $150. Well after sitting there for 7.5 hours, no bathroom breaks, nothing to eat or drink, I was charged double the price. I had 3 different people working on my hair. With no warning, They charge you per styling product. I've been coloring my hair for 16 years and this was a first. I've never sat in a chair for so long, or had multiple people working on my hair. I've never had someone just style my hair the way they wanted. and they used 5 different products on my hair. I felt like a poodle leaving this salon. The young lady who was my original appointment with, had to cut each strand of hair separately. It had to be the longest hair cut in history. I will never return and suggest if you go to this salon, make sure you have nothing else planned for the rest of the day.

I just had to share the amazing experience I had with Cori. First off, I saw her last week for a cut and semi-balayage. The cut was amazing and probably the best one I’ve had in 6 years. A few days into having the color, I realized there were some pieces that were too light, others too dark. She was so sweet about rescheduling me to come in at her next opening and fix it all. I’m so happy with the perfect cut and corrected color, and I can’t say enough about how sweet she was about it all. I really need to add that I’m from Southern California and I’ve had a terrible time finding a good stylist - I’ve been through 3 in 3 years and until now, I’ve never been happy. My friend recommended Burton's to me when I decided I needed a new haircut and SOON, and I booked an appointment online for the very next day with Kendra. I've never had a better haircut experience! Her method is fantastic - she cut my hair to the length I wanted, then went in for the fine details (layers, facial framing) and focused on one thing at a time so everything was perfectly to my liking. This was really comforting since I was cutting off a lot of hair and haven't done such a drastic cut since third grade, when I got a haircut I'd always regretted. It was amazing to be able to have input every step of the way - I wasn't just showing her a picture and hoping for the best. It was an interactive process. Today, I wore my hair down for the first time since last year because it finally wasn't bothering me anymore and I was excited to show it off!! Thanks Kendra!! I'll absolutely be back soon!

I have been going here for more than 18 years. Krista is wonderful, smart friendly and great at everything she does. Sierra does a great job with my nails. My only criticism is that the area for nails is too crowded and unorganized. None of the stations match, it is hard to get around and unfortunately most of the stations appear dusty and dirty. Especially on the end shelves. I understand that they can easily get that way but I have been the first client of the day and I have been the last and they look the same. Maybe remodel the area with nice stations and comfortable chairs for the clients to sit in. With all that said, I will continue to go to Burtons and Krista and Sierra. I've had a hard time finding a stylist that can actually do my hair right without messing it up and she nailed it. The entire staff is friendly, using their online booking app makes scheduling apts easy, it's clean and relaxing, and the cost is very reasonable for the work they do. If I could give them more stars I would. I highly recommend Mallory and Burton's for anyone that wants a friendly, relaxing, and professional salon that won't disappoint. You won't regret it!

Went in for balayage, 3.5 hours later my hair did not look how I imagine although it wasn’t horrible. I think the gal just wanted to be done with me she recommended not to thin my very thick hair now i look like a poof ball. Cost me almost $250 for color and simple cut I almost fell over, not worth the price at all!!!

The ladies at Burtons always take good care of me. I can typically get in the same day, and the hair cut is consistently high quality. I've been going to them for over three years. Several of the ladies have cut my hair there, and they are uniquely talented, and all professional. I'm usually in and out in 20-30 minutes, and this includes a cut, shampoo, condition, and style. On several occasions they have waxed my eyebrows...there should be TWO guys. The procedure is quick, painless, and highly recommended. Burton's has my vote for first class service!

I love the staff here. Great management. All about their customers. Logan and Sierra are amaze from my experiences. I will definitely recommened Logan for acrylic sets/gel polish. Sierra does a great job on french acrylic sets and hair trims. Both great conversation and pricing.

***Update: I am changing this from 1 to 3 stars because within an hour of leaving my review, the owner called me directly and asked for more information and apologized very sincerely. Although that specific hair dresser did not do a great job, Kayla, who did my mothers hair, did wonderful and the owner is very friendly. *** Just awful. I scheduled a hair appointment here for my wedding. I wanted beach waves with a waterfall braid through the back. I stated this when I made my appointment. When I arrived, the woman said "let me practice a waterfall braid real quick" and tried it in my hair. She goes "oh yeah I know how to do that" and then for the next two hours she tried to braid my hair twice as a waterfall, twice as a French braid, until I finally told her to stop and just pin my bangs back. She then blamed it on my hair being too thin and short, which is a complete joke. Hair dressers always offer to thin out my hair because it's thick and it's down to my lower back. The hair looked just fine at the end, but when I requested a certain hairstyle when I made the appointment almost five months ago, I expect Burtons to assign me to a hairdresser who knows what the hell shes doing. My mom was next to me and had an updo that was done in an hour and looked great. I sat there for two hours and left with curly hair, that's it.

Maddie Kent does my color, my cut, my waxing and my pedicures! She is an amazingly talented hairdresser. She always listens what I want, and she always has great suggestions! My color always turns out "perfect" and I get compliments every time! I would not change Maddie for anyone else and would hate it if she moved far away. When I came from AZ I battled long and hard to find a hair dresser that gave me what I wanted consistently. It is obvious she loves her work and puts everything into it!

Sierra Koburi and Tina Chambers are both amazing. Our family has used Tina for several years and she always does an amazing job, even my husband uses her. Just recently our 16 year old daughter used Sierra and the cut and bayalage she did was amazing. Staff are always friendly and its super easy to make an appointment with the Vagaro app. Pricing is always right on target and you dont have to worry about what your going to pay as your sitting in the chair because the pricing is on the app when you schedule an appointment. My daughter has amazingly long hair and so we gladly paid more as we knew that a lot of product was used to get the color that she wanted. I highly recommend Burtons!

After a HORRIBLE partial highlight at another salon I was so defeated and disappointed as a hair cut/highlights was my Christmas gift to myself. I recently moved here so I just randomly decided to call Burton and take my chances to see if they could fix it. Anna had an opening and I was able to get in 3 hours after the other salon had its go at giving me 2009 Snookie highlights against my will. First: Anna is an incredibly empathic, kind human so it was enjoyable to be around her. She was even nice enough to not tell me about how bad my hair was from the back until she was able to fix it. She also brought out the scissors and fixed some layers but did not charge me for a hair cut. She knew exactly what to do. She was able to blend the obnoxious white streaks to look like blonde highlights and brought my ash blonde hair back from the grave. I could not have been happier with how my hair turned out. If you are having a hair crisis and feel betrayed by another stylist I highly recommend Anna. Also, I highly recommend her if you want to avoid a crisis and just get your hair done right the first time.

I recently moved to Missoula and was on the hunt for a good stylist, especially since I wanted a pretty drastic chop. Burton's had some of the better reviews in town and was in my price range, so I booked an appointment through their website (which is a super convenient feature!). It was a 9am appointment--right when they open, apparently, and it seems like being so early might not garner the best customer service; I stood awkwardly in front of the reception desk, overhearing morning gossip, before someone noticed me and said something like "Oh, I thought I heard the door open but figured I imagined it." So, a little bumpy start. But my stylist, Cami, was super efficient, friendly, and sweet. I wanted a pixie cut--quite short, and since I don't see them often around Missoula I was a little concerned that stylists here wouldn't be too well-versed in how to cut them. But I showed Cami some photos of what I wanted, and she nailed it! Got it exactly right, and I love how it turned out. Overall a good experience, and I'll probably be back soon for that maintenance trim.

I always get my hair cut here whenever possible. The website online is fantastic and lists services (goes into great detail), price, and lists the people who can provide these services. You can book online, by phone, or in person. They are kid friendly as well;n the waiting area they have a coloring station.The only issue they have is that there isn't a lot of parking.

Because of Kendra Curtis' knowledge, professionalism, and attitude, my 13 year old daughter had a wonderful experience at Burton's. For several months she has debated cutting her long hair into a shorter style but was unsure as to how her thick, unruly hair would respond. Kendra asked questions, listened, reviewed photos, and advised. She was willing to cut the hair in phases so that she didn't take too much off, allowing my daughter to be confident throughout the process. Madison Kent is the best stylist you can ever have. I cut my hair with her once and her work is not like any other hair dressers' I've had before. Not only does she have the skill needed to cut your hair the proper way, she is super creative. I asked for a simple angled bob, but what I got was something extra. She made sure that the length in the front suits my face shape rather than cutting it just like any other angled bob. I did not asked her to do it, but she did it anyway because that is how she does her job. She knows her tools and how to use it to everyone's benefits. It was over 2 months since I cut my hair with her, but in spite the bob that needs to be trimmed regularly, my hair still looks fabulous for a long bob. Everybody know how much of a mess your hair can be if you don't go visit a salon every once in a while. With Madison, your hair will always look awesome even though it's been 2 months since you last saw her. It's a shame I live far away, otherwise I would only cut my hair with her from now on.
