Most of the salons were closed, because it was a Sunday. So I was thrilled to find this place open. I called ahead to make sure they could fit me in and went. It turned out to be a Hispanic salon. I was the only white person in the place. That's fine I didn't care about a thing like that, all I cared about was if they could perm my hair! Everything seemed fine, and everyone was nice until the woman who was supposed to do my hair came to get me. She tried to speak to me in Spanish, despite the fact that I had to look like the single most unlikely to speak Spanish person on Earth,I just smiled and apologized that I did not know Spanish. She replied with 'Oh.' Then she asked if I'd been there before, to which I said no. Basically the conversation was short and clearly implied the message, 'What the hell are YOU doing here?!' She then proceeded to talk about me with the other people around her in Spanish as if I can't tell when someone is making fun of me, by gesturing to my hair, having people come over to look at it and then laughing?! Right, clearly not talking about me at all! I have never been so poorly treated at any salon in my life! I spoke to the manager, who was very nice, and very apologetic, and said he would speak to her about it...and asked if my perm was okay, which I thought it was. However no compensation was offered me at all not so much as a discount! It cost me $85 to be so insulted! And after I got home and the time elapsed and I could wash my hair? The perm sucks too! Be sure I will never go back to this place again, if I could give it minus stars I would have!!! If your not Hispanic? Don't go to this place, they don't want you there!!!
