Laura consistently delivers great haircuts for my tousle of wavy curls. She always listens carefully to what I want and will helpfully and politely steer me away from any 'danger zone' ideas. If left to her own devices (and I trust her that much) she'll astonish me with a cut that looks fantastic, draws many compliments and lasts longer than the first few washes (plus growth). Guy's hair not a problem for this amazing woman.

I recently moved here from Los Angeles and was in search of a hairstylist who could continue keeping my highlighted hair healthy without damage. After searching through instagram I stumbled upon Gina's page and fell in love with her work (IG: your.mane.g). I knew she would be the perfect fit for giving me exactly what I wanted to upkeep. Scheduled my appointment and walked into the cutest salon (the owner def has a keen eye for aesthetics!). So clean and modern looking. They don't have a receptionist since they are all independent contractors but as I walked in all the girls were so friendly and welcoming. Sat in Gina's chair and it was as if I knew her forever! Loved my experience and so happy I found her.

Laura is a hair genius. I've been with her for the past 12 years and all of my friends, co-workers, their moms and aunts come to Laura. The space is beautiful and very roomy, not like most Boston salons. Visit Ivy Hair Loft for Boston's best balayage.

GINA IS A MIRACLE WORKER! I came to her with some wonky hair... sort of a compilation of poorly executed balayages. We had a good consultation when I first visited her and she was honest - a resolution would not be happening overnight. I’ve seen her three times now and after each visit I am even more pleased than the one before! She is truly a coloring professional and knows EXACTLY what she is doing. I’ve been to half a dozens places in Boston and only Gina is able to make my hair look natural when balayaged. It’s a skill! Honestly thankful for her and I highly highly recommend!

I’ve been going to Ivy Hair Loft since February of this year. Laura took my way over processed and super damaged hair and has worked serious miracles on it! She’s kept my hair so healthy and shiny and soft, all while achieving the super light blonde that I want! She is direct, incredibly communicative, honest, and super genuine. She is very gifted at what she It’s very evident she loves what she does, and genuinely cares about each of her clients, AND their hair so much. As far as Ivy, the space is so beautiful! It feels refreshing and like home every time I walk in. I’m a client of Laura’s, but every stylist always greet someone me cheerfully as soon as I walk in, always asking me if they can get me anything, (rose, coffee, etc!) It’s bright, spacious, has so much natural light, has beautiful decor, & is so cute! I will forever be a loyal client to Ivy Hair Loft, 5/5 stars! Laura, her other stylists and Ivy are the BEST! Would highly recommend to anybody and everybody! ⭐️ ✨

Had a 4:30 appointment with Gina today. Waited until 4:50. Did not receive a call/text that she was running behind, nor did she bother to apologize (or even speak to me at all) while I was waiting so I finally left. Texted her that I did not have time to wait around any longer and asked to reschedule. Over an hour later, no response. Left work an hour an a half early for this appointment. I’m an understanding person if the situation is explained and the person is apologetic, but to completely ignore me for 20 minutes while I am waiting for my appointment? No excuse for that level of poor service.

I started going to Ivy Hair Loft when my favorite hairdresser Anisa moved there few months ago. Anisa of course remains great, but this space is really a step up from the other place she worked at. Ivy Hair Loft is super cool: lots of light, new and not too crowded.

Laura is amazing! She has done my hair for a very long time and I trust her opinion when it comes to anything hair related. I am often complimented on how great my hair looks -especially after a cut- and I give them Laura's name. There is also plenty of street parking and a bonus that there is a Starbucks across the street!
