LaToya is a treasure. Not only is she a skilled professional, she is kind and compassionate to boot! Molly saved me from having to cut off my hair, she correctly diagnosed the cause of my extremely dry hair and offered a fix, which turned out to be insanely simple. I was invited to Studio 7 by my friend. When I first arrived I was immediately greeted by a host of friendly faces. I was on 10 from my commute but the natural tranquil energy of the studio immediately disarmed me. My massage therapist was Heather. Her hands are magic!! I came in tight, and sore from a host of issues but she worked every knot with the maximum amount of pressure. Not to mention she has the warmest hands that makes the massage experience even more heavenly!! Besides her being an amazing masseuse; she is extremely personable and engaging when needed. I had the pleasure of having a facial with Aisha. She was a dream. I absolutely LOVED her down to earth personality and extensive knowledge of her craft. Once she finished with my skin, it was so radiant, my skin was glowing as if I had on foundation and the best part, every single black head was gone. I highly recommend this spa. You will think you are coming in for service,but will leave meeting an amazing group of people you will add to your tribe. Oh did I mention they have spa memberships where you can get discounts on their ahhhhmazing products and services?? Needless to say I love this place!

Karen washed my hair and started the appointment off with pleasant and cheerful conversation. Aubrey, a wonderful technician, was superb for both my hair and make-up. My husband commented how much he liked my hair because it looked so natural. If you are visiting, or live in Baltimore, I would strongly suggest that you make an appointment at Studio 7. You will not be disappointed!

Got my hair colored and roots done about a month ago with a trim and thinning as well. Price was not bad. Called before my appointment today to see what the cost would be for the "rinse". I was told $66.00!!!!! For a rinse????????? No thank you. The actual color was done on February 16 so, as of my roots it lasted a whole 39 days!!!!! Unfortunately when I called and asked the price, heard it and declined, a woman on the other end simply said, "thank you", and hung up.

My experience here was the worst I have ever had at a salon. I was originally quoted a price over the phone. When I got there, they quoted me over $100 more. The stylist agreed to do what she could for close to the quoted price. My hair (which is supposed to be close to platinum) end up bring yellow-orange. The stylist tried her hardest by toning it multiple times, but had not success. I ended up leaving after 5 HOURS! I decided to call to speak with a manager a few days later and explain my experience. The manager tried blaming me saying my expectations were not realistic and I should have paid even more than I did because the stylist had to use multiple toners (which was not my fault). I explained that I had never had issues lifting my root color to blonde and the end result from her salon was unacceptable. After much argument she agreed to have me come in to have it fix at an additional expense. I asked for a refund instead and she eventually agreed.I was very upset how I was spoken to and I was shocked to find out she would only be refunding $15! I will NEVER go back here and DO NOT recommend this salon to anyone.

I love this place!! I moved to Baltimore 18 months ago. I checked reviews in a number of places before choosing a salon. The first place I went gave me the most boring haircut and boring experience. And, it was EXPENSIVE! The second place I went to on the recommendation of a co-worker. The haircut was fine, but the salon was not a great experience. Again, expensive. Finally, I decided to take a chance on Studio 7. I could not be happier! Molly cuts my hair, but everyone in the salon is so nice and welcoming. I get hugs from almost everyone as I walk in the door. The place is clean and calming. (I love the music!) Molly always chats with me about my hair for a few minutes before she gets to work. And she's a really talented stylist. She's very nice about listening to what I say about my hair and accommodating while also encouraging me to be a little more adventurous. (That's right, Molly--I know what you're doing.) I am so thrilled to have this great salon in my neighborhood. Never before have I had the urge to just stop in and say "hi", but I do here. I recommend Studio 7 Salon with the most enthusiasm! (seriously--they are not paying me to say this!)

Studio 7 is, by far, the best salon in Baltimore! The owner, Rosalind, takes great pride in the establishment and it shows. As soon as you walk in you’re offered water and you immediately begin relaxing once you breathe in the wonderful scents that awaken your soul and fill you with peace. My facial with Amy was so relaxing and soothing. She’s so sweet and has a beautiful, warm spirit. The stylists here take great pride in their work and I would highly recommend Studio 7 if you’re looking for a salon and spa that will leave you feel long tour absolute best.

I went with my aunt and baby to cut our hair. My aunt does not speak English so I tried to explain what hair cut she want to the hairdresser. However, the manager (or the shift responsible) did not like that I was trying to find a previous picture of my aunt showing her normal haircut. She kept rushing the girls (hairdressers) to start cutting our hair and be quick because there are other customers that need to be taken care of (No one was in the salon except for me, my aunt, and another young girl). I paid $120 for cutting our hair only without drying or styling our hair. My baby did not tolerate the sound of the hair-dryer so I asked the hairdresser if I can wait for my aunt to finish her turn then give her my baby while drying/styling my hair but the hairdresser did not want to do it because it is waste of her time (no customers were in the salon even when we left). I just moved to Baltimore and I love to take care of my hair so for me they have already lost one potential loyal customer. I lived in Israel, Italy, France, Spain, Australia, and Canada and I have never had this kind of experience where the manager rushes her hairstylist to just get rid of the customers without addressing their need. I am not coming back to this place again. Also, my aunt had a great pixie haircut but mine was horrible. Thank God it will grow again but this time I will go to a professional and much better place to cut/style my hair.

I gave two stars because everyone was very kind during my visit. However the work done on my hair was simply sub par. I asked for a blowout and silk press. The stylist dried my hair half-way and then put me under a dryer. Then she did a light dusting on my hair using my natural part, not my center one. I mentioned that my previous stylist used my central part to trim my hair, but she said it wouldn't matter which one she used (this was false, as after washing my hair i noticed my natural hair is now visibly lopsided). Then, without putting any heat protectant or moisturizer on my hair she flat-ironed and curled it, frying my ends. I wish I took pictures of it because they looked bushy and scraggly from breakage. I will have to get about 3/4in trimmed off my hair the next time I have a hair appt. My roots and edges were also visibly curly after my visit. I had to go home and fix my roots and edges the best I could, but there was no point. By the next day all of my curls had fallen and my hair was frizzy with a ton of fly aways. I just gave up and washed my hair.

I always get nervous when I have to go to a new salon or stylist. I was in Baltimore on business and needed a cut and color. This salon is incredible! Sort of like New York City chic meets small town USA coziness. The vibe is urban industrial but the staff is so friendly, warm and welcoming. But the reason I am taking the time to share this review is because of the incredible talent here. Aubrey Schneider gave me the most amazing cut I have ever had. My hair is fine so if it isn't cut just the right way, it will either lay flat to my head - no volume- or look choppy. I have always had to use lots of hair products (gel, hair spray, volumizer). But now that Aubrey cuts my hair, I can simply blow it dry, add a touch of styling paste and my hair looks great all day long!! If you need color - there is no place better. Molly is a certified Paul Mitchell trainer in hair color and every one of their colorists are quite simply artists!! If you live near Baltimore and are looking for a new stylist... You really have to give this place a try.

I went in to get my roots and eyebrows dyed before going on vacation to see my partner, and I was really excited about this place because it had such good reviews.First I was upstairs to get my roots done to match my hair color (which is brown with a tint of purple from an old dye job), but the stylist chose a reddish color and my roots came out really red! She put some brown over and tried to convince me that it somehow matches what i had before, but I'm still really unsatisfied with the color. I liked my hair more BEFORE I WENT IN than I did afterwards. If I had been smart I would have just left then and there and cancelled my brow appointment, but I went downstairs to get my brows done and the aesthetician said "oh i love your auburn hair" (which was not what i wanted to hear). The FIRST thing I told her was that I didn't want my brows too dark, and I showed her a picture of last time, when they were a light brown. And everything seemed to be going fine but then when she gave me the mirror at the end they were a dark brown. She tried to remove the dye but it wouldn't come off. They ended up refunding me the brow tint, but all in all I still paid $130 to look like a CLOWN. I feel so awful and upset. And I was so excited to look really cute when i saw my partner again, and now I look like a monster.

Do not have Simon cut your hair if you have long hair. I asked for MAXIMUM FOUR INCHES OFF. I told her I wanted 3 inches off. I showed her exactly where I wanted it and said NO SHORTER THAN THIS. I was VERY clear about what I wanted. She cut about 6-7 inches off of my hair. And I said I wanted a straight line cut and its terribly uneven and choppy. I can't wear my hair down comfortably. It looks AWFUL. It took TWO years to grow 6 inches. So now all I can do is wait about a year to be happy with my hair or get hair extensions. Seriously, stay away.

Aubrey did a beautiful job. She.is quite knowledgeable when it comes to coloring and styling hair. I went in for my first professional highlight and she was very attentive to what I wanted. I have extremely thick hair that takes a lot of time to color and style. We decided on honey and burgundy highlights. She knew just the way to get the color right without looking orange and coppery, which I have always been concerned about because of my black hair. Along the process I had so many questions about hair color that she answered with confidence. Aubrey made sure to do a thorough job and take time to get things perfect on my long and thick hair. I felt very relaxed through the different processes of bleaching/highlighting/shampooing. I appreciated that I did not feel rushed at all during the appointment and that my comfort was made very important. Megan, the manager was extremely friendly and helpful when I asked about pricing and scheduled my appointment. I was also greeted in a very friendly way by Roz, the owner. She was extremely welcoming. This was a very warm and welcoming salon experience and I hope return again soon.

The salon itself is a little more expensive than some of the “express” salons in the city, but it was WELL worth every dollar. Highly recommend!

I went to get my hair cut and highlighted on Saturday Dec 1, 2012. Toné was my stylist and he was amazing! He was so excited to cut my hair and discussed with me what I wanted. I have a lot of textured hair and Toné was completely confident and knew exactly what he was doing. I was very impressed by his skills and professionalism. As someone who grew up getting their haircut by a family member, going to a salon to get my haircut is daunting. Rosalind was awesome. She didn't keep me in the chair for too long (which makes me nervous) and knew exactly how to cut and style my hair (it has a weird texture). The price was more than fair for the work she did. Very professional. Would recommend to anyone looking for good service at an excellent price. (They also were able to take me on short notice which I know is not something every salon is able to accommodate. So add some extra brownie points there).
