I'm displeased with the haircut and service that I received at the hands of the owner, Brenda Fletcher. I had been natural for three years. I told her exactly what I wanted....to be able to braid my hair with the perm and cut.
I got hacked. I got what she described as a cut "that will look good in two weeks". She cut my hair in layers in such a way that I look like a defrocked chicken. I called her with my concerns, We argued. She was insensitive and rude. She made like my hair was the problem. My hair was eight inches in length!!!! She was eager to give back my $38 and included an extra two dollars because she didn't have exact change! I was afraid to have her attempt to repair what could have repaired, because by this time, I didn't trust her worth a damn. I used the two dollars towards the purchase of a cap.
I've been giving Ms. Fletcher my money and business for over twenty years. She so resented my complaint that she brought up the fact that I use to use drugs....like, what....i don't deserve to be treated with respect????? She never turned down my drug money!!!!
Anywho, I'd just like to say that you will be sorely disappointed if you have her work on your hair. She''s stuck on stupid. She owns the building that she works from and has been there for twenty-seven years. But....where are the customers????
I say to those of you who may be considering her services, know that she considers herself beyond reproach. She hacked me, didn't take responsibility for her error, and reverted back to the "ghetto hood-rat" that she is. A true professional, who has had a loyal, tipping customer for twenty years, needed to own her mistake, not attack and make excuses.
I've learned my lesson, you can take the girl out of the hood but you can't take the hood out of the girl. It's up to you, whether you allow her to cut your hair. She used to be the best in Baltimore.
To you Brenda, twenty seven years in the same place, and i mean that both literally and figuratively, it's time for some change. You are stuck on stupid. Get a degree or a man. Something...cuz your beauty business has faltered.
Passionately,
KimB
