I would DEFINITELY recommend this place. From color correcting to natural looking hair extensions this salon can do it all. Along with that the staff is so nice and flexible. hey are always accommodating to their clients needs. I Love them!

L'Or is the best hair salon in the Rockville region. Nami Cho is a one-of-a-kind stylist - she pays close attention to my desires for my hair and is careful and detailed; she completely understands my unruly hair and how to tame it (perfectly and effortlessly); and she has helped me break out of my conservative comfort zone and try new things with my hair that I never thought I'd like but have fell in love with. She is also extremely kind and thoughtful! The front desk staff are welcoming and courteous - they greet me by my name and offer coffee or tea and a comfortable chair. The staff who washes my hair makes me feel like I'm at the spa - they spend extra time massaging and are super gentle! I often have Nami do my hair (just cut and blow dry) before going out with friends, and my friends agree it's the best hair cut I've ever had every time. The experience here is worth every penny - I won't go anywhere else!

I saw Veronika for a European facial. She was simply amazing - perfect comination of gentle and firm. She was sensitive to my unique needs and gave great suggestions on future skin care without pushing any products. Looking forward to seeing her again. The rest of the staff was wonderfully friendly and helpful. So glad I found a great salon!

Victor did an amazing job correcting years of drug store box color! thanks to him I have the vibrant shine I remember from 30 years ago! The front desk staff (I'm so sorry I didn't get your name!) Is so warm and welcoming and sweet! This is the only place to go if you want to look your best!

My hair can be tricky to cut, so I learned long ago that budget barbers did not work for me. I have used Paul at L'Or for several years (he was at another location in Rockville prior to the opening of L'Or in King Farm). Paul does the best job of anyone I have found in the D.C. area. This after I tried the best-reviewed pricey shops in Georgetown and Bethesda. A bonus for me is the fact that Paul is a well-educated, well-informed person who is one of the most interesting conversationalists I have encountered, and just a nice person. One more bonus is that I have had my hair cut by two of Paul's associates when Paul was not available. They, too did a superior job. I will add that I have no business or personal connection to Paul or L'Or. I receive no compensation, discount, or consideration of any kind for offering this review.

My appointment with Mahshid went extremely well! I had been using box color for almost 4 years after moving to the area and not finding anyone I felt comfortable with using. We discussed what I was looking for and we started looking at color samples and we found a winner. She did a color that took all of my hair down a few shades and added highlights...lots and lots of highlights. I will be returning!

Victor was extremely helpful and the rest of the staff were super nice! It was a great atmosphere to be in and they followed my photo references for the hair cut perfectly. As well as when we ran out of the hair color I brought in victor went to get some in complimentary colors from in store and made the ombré look beautiful! I cannot reccomend then enough.

This place is greedy! They try to pack as much customers as they can but in same time they mishandle schedule as the result – you will be long time untended perhaps just sitting with wet head in the chair. If you are a new customer you will receive a lot attention in timely manner, but for the customers who is know them a long time you will receive less and less interest and attention. The prices is high enough but the service and work what they offer just the average. Was a long time their client and now will find someplace else! I am very disappointed with their service!

This is my first time writing a review but with the experience I had as my first time a month ago decided to do one today . I found this salon in the Internet I was searching for one with the most good reviews and this one got my attention I called and made my appointment came in 2 days later the front desk was so friendly I felt so welcomed to when I came in and even after I received my service. I had previously dyed my hair with boxed hair color (black) worst mistake of my life . When I came in I wanted an ombre . The hairstylist which attended me Maxi told me it would not be able to be done exactly how I wanted it due to my hair had so many patches . Am a very impatient person but I really wanted an ombre . So the first time it turned out to an orange color which was she told it would be what I loved about her was not like lost stylist she told me upfront it wouldn't be the ashy blonde I was hoping for the front try . I came a second time and lighten it up more and covered some of the patches that weren't cover the last time . Now today being the third time she amazed me it turned out to be the color I wanted even better . She was always honest with me and told it would take more than 2 times but she did a miracle I am so forever pleased with her work she so kind and knows what she's doing I highly recommend MAXI to anyone she will work with you and let you know does not go around the corner that's one thing I liked now I just have to come back in a month depending to maintain the blonde or if I want to go even more blonde but am pleased with her work.

I love this place. It had been a while since I was so happy with my haircut. My stylist Mahshid did an amazing job taking care of my hair ... she took her time to ensure everything was perfect and couched me on the way to style it best after the cut. The salon is very professional and the staff is very polite. I definitely will be going back.

Mediocre. I used to go to an amazing hair salon in my hometown that really knew how to treat customers, so from the look of this place and the price point I was hoping for something similar. The woman who cut my hair did the cutting part perfectly fine, but there were so many hiccups it made me wary of going back. For one thing, I had asked for a short choppy "beachy wave" type cut. Without even asking how I wanted my hair dried, she immediately started going for the round brush and a full blow out. I asked her to stop and to dry it with a diffuser instead. She didn't seem to know how to use it and kept burning my scalp. Finally she just said something like, never mind, it looks better air dried, and called it done. And then oddly they charged me about half of what they quoted the job as being when I had called that morning asking about the price. Like did they know they did a bad job, or...? The cut is fine I just am used to being asked how I want my hair dried and to stylists who don't injure the customers. Everyone was nice, just not as competent as I'd expect for the price.

L;or Salon is by far the very best salon in Montgomery County. I have been coming to Nami for the past seven years. She is a perfectionist and does a fantastic job. She does my japanese relaxer twice a year and is an expert. She does my cut and color and is by far the best hair stylist in the area. I have known Victor and Paul for the past seven years and they are both expert hairstylists as well. Elba, Gabriel, and Lelani are all very personable and are great with the clientele. I would not go anywhere else. If you are looking for a hair salon, l'or is the place to go.

I have seen Mashid for the past several haircuts I have received and am always very satisfied with her work. I'm a dude who wears longer hair and have a hard time finding stylists who will spend time to layer it properly. 40 plus gratuity seems a bit expensive to me but seems pretty typical for the area. Definitely recommended.

Given the pervasive presumptuous attitude/vibe of arrogance, lack of customer friendly FOCUS on behalf of Nami and Victor; their prices are exorbitant. ...(Albeit, technically 'somewhat' skilled). Paul, (owner) as well as Stephanie (Front Desk Administrator) are delightful, while their valuable high-end customer service skills exemplify strong leadership. I believe it would be advantageous/behooving for aforementioned 2 staff members' to follow the highly professional skilled LEAD and pleasant disposition emanating from both Paul / Stephanie and other Salon staff of the like. A friendly, appropriate **Customer-Focused** attitude goes a long way, contributing significantly to ambiance as well as my personal aspiration to return to L'OR Hair Salon! :)
