Just last week I found this salon and wondered how I had missed it so many years. Jacky has a special touch...she softened my too dark hair without taking me away from being brunette. She explained as she went along and gave my hair exactly what it needed. Jacky is kind and talented. The woman who sets the appointments is upbeat and fun. The whole "squad" is friendly and professional. I have found my new hair home: Thank you, Jacky.

As a new arrival to Bethesda, I needed a to find a new salon ASAP- as I am a frequent flyer with color (every 3 weeks). I tried out several salons before finally finding Angela at EYMA. The whole experience at Eyma is exceptional. Starting with Stephanie who books appts. with a smile at the front desk (and works with me if I have to reschedule)- Stephanie also provides me with the fob for free parking in the adjacent garage... to Rosa who greets me cheerfully and gets me prepped for color, makes delicious lattes!, gives me plastic cover strips for my glasses so they don't get color on them, and washes my hair with a nice head massage, to Angela- who colors, cuts and blow dries my hair beautifully- every single time. Angela also is incredibly patient, kind and flexible. She listens to what I want and always delivers. Angela is also incredibly flexible and has even come in on her day off to accommodate my schedule. Her prices are very fair for this area. I highly recommend Angela for a great overall experience inside this beautiful salon that has a great relaxed atmosphere.

Eyal colored my hair to perfection! I have have been to two other colorists at another salon and they didn’t come close to Eyal’s technique. I’m a brunette with carmel highlights and lowlights. Additionally, my haircut was perfect. I have had many compliments on the color and cut. Everyone loves the finished product as much as me! He takes his time and works closely with the client! I highly recommend him!

Found EYMA Salon because my daughter just had to have purple hair and I was petrified of doing it wrong at home. Jackie did an *amazing* job of listening to exactly what she wanted and my daughter walked into the first day of middle school feeling like a rock star. I have become a regular client because Jackie is a real pro who took the time to talk and more importantly to listen, to understand my own hair issues and to work with me on a new style that I'm really happy with.

A week ago, after a long time debating whether going for another 2-week root coloring or letting my gray hair come out, I put my head on Claudia’s hands. She explained what she had to do to take my brunette color out without damaging my hair. After long 8 hours of careful and professional attention, removing patiently my hair pigmentation, Cláudia gifted me not only with a new modern look but mostly with my new energy . Eyal and Massimo and their staff are totally warm and welcoming. I always get comments on the quality of my hair's cut and color. In fact, I once had a person comment on the cut in a European airport waiting room! One time he even came in on his off day to help me out when a family emergency called me out of the state. This is a quality salon.

Today I saw Claudia for highlights. I loved what she did with my hair and I would highly recommend her! She worked really meticulously to find the perfect shade of blonde for my fair skin tone. The resulting look was a light golden color, and she took out a lot of warmth in my hair from some lowlights I had gotten last year that were growing out and were not flattering. She is wonderful to talk to as well! I will definitely go to her again.

This salon is amazing! Staff is extremely friendly & Evelyn is fantastic! My mom and I can’t be more happy, Evelyn does an extradinary job with both, my mom goes there for highlighting and haircuts. I go there for haircuts and straightening. She is always consistent with coloring and with the cut. She knows how to choose the right color to go with the skin tone which is so important. Color blends well and lasts a long time. She knows exactly how to layer my hair, I get a lot of compliments thanks to her! Hands down!

This was my first experience at this salon and I must say I am very pleased. I worked with Claudia and would highly recommend her, especially if you are looking for balyage services or some fun color. Previously I had been going to the Aveda institute, trying to save money with the students, but I never left feeling quite satisfied (and had my bangs butchered, not by a student but by an instructor who was supposedly the bang specialist)! I wanted a color update but didn't want to pay an outrageous amount (which seems to be about 500 for what I wanted), and EYMA starting prices seemed very reasonable. I went in wanting a blue/violet/silver color melt; I had about 10 photos, none of which were really the same at all, but somehow Claudia managed to pull out exactly what I wanted. Being as tho I have dark hair and needed a lot of lifting we were at the salon until very late (I closed the place up at close to 11 pm), and never once did Claudia's energy wane nor did she show any frustration, (I myself personally would've been frustrated if I were her). There were 2 other employees that stayed late who were also great and patient. I don't know their names but THANK YOU! I LOVE my color, and depending on the lighting it looks different. There was also a young lady that came in for a quick service that had come to claudia with green hair and now has beautiful silver blonde hair and after chatting with her I felt as tho I was in very capable hands. Thank you so much Claudia; I am looking forward to building our relationship and the ever changing hair journey. Here are some before and after photos.

I have been going to Jackie for years, and she is the best! As my budget for hair coloring has grown, Jackie has risen to meet the challenge of the more drastic color changes I've asked for. She works with me to give me exactly what I want, while at the same time preventing me from doing anything foolish. Jackie is also a compassionate listener, and she often goes out of her way to order me special colors or schedule me at times that work for me. The other staff at Eyma are helpful and friendly as well, the salon's overall ambiance is high-end but relaxing, and the brand-new shampoo chairs are dangerously comfortable!

Jackie is incredibly meticulous. Having a stylist for a mom, I haven’t trusted my crazy and textured hair with anyone else. She made a suggestion on the length and layering, and it looks great. She took time to style and straighten my (very thick) hair and was happy to do what it took to look amazing. I’ll be back!

EDIT 2 Management was very responsive when I reached out. They replaced the hair I didn't want free of charge and gave me a few extensions on the house. I was listened to with expectations laid out explicitly, was treated respectfully and in the end I walked away with beautiful hair. EDIT I'm still very confused why this appointment went so badly when I had such a good experience the first time. I went in with some matted extensions and wanted them sorted. I told my dresser I would come back with hair (half the extensions had fallen out) at which time I wanted more of the same but less bulk. Cool she agreed. What happened was none of these things. I confirmed with her multiple times what I wanted and what we were going to do. "Ok a couple new extensions but same length and style as before right? And then I'll come back to finish properly?" "Yes." Its important it be that length because it's necessary for my job." "Yes the same." (Its not, so now I have to find another place and do this AGAIN so I can go to work.) Ten minutes later I had a bob 3 inch shorter (guess I'm not sure how to eyeball inches tbh) than I wanted. There was never a discussion of a bob. I don't like bobs I didn't want a bob. Me: "This is a lot more even and shorter than we discussed." Her: "Well it's a new you." What the hell? No. This same bizarre situation repeated over and over. Finally I explicitly said "stop I dont like this" multiple times and she just kept going like everything was fine. Like... is there any situation where it's ok to keep doing something to a person when they explicitly tell you stop I don't like it? Still verbally expressing that I don't like it but being ushered out anyway I try to give the last benefit of the doubt and set up a follow up appointment in a couple days to fix this disaster at the front desk she has the nerve to go "well don't wash your hair too soon we'll see you in couple months." Seriously?????? Honestly it was pretty triggering and I cried all the way home. Still don't understand how saying I want XY and Z and then STOP I don't like this resulted in what I have. Do not recommend this place unless you're ok with having what you wanted ignored, dismissed and then charged even when you tell them to stop. I had Angela and she was absolutely fantastic. I came in with sad, short, damaged hair from a dye job gone bad, and walked out with long, natural looking tresses that made me feel like myself again. She was friendly, patient with me when I didn't like the initial color and made sure I walked out satisfied. Will definitely be back and I'm so glad I came here to fix other salon's work!

Roe has been styling my hair for 4 years now and I absolutely adore her. I get asked out all the time who styles my hair. She is that good! I am a 51 year old father and I know nothing about high school girl's hair care. My 15 year old daughter decided to bleach her own hair on a Sunday afternoon with her friend. By 3:30 she was in tears and said that she had to stay at home until her hair recovered. She was inconsolable. I called a few hair salons and stumbled on EYMA. The receptionist was very helpful and led me to Jackie. Jackie made my daughter feel like everything was going to be OK. She spent over two hours working with my daughter on her hair. In the end my daughter felt happy her new purple hair color. I don't get it (purple hair?), but this shop did everything possible to help my daughter recover. They stayed open late and made sure that my daughter left happy with her results, and charged me an incredibly reasonable fee.

I walked in yesterday (Saturday) after being turned away from 2 other places because they were too busy (new to the area, apparently Saturday is a popular day for a haircut? Lol). I was immediately attended to and informed that Gracia was available to cut my hair. I also was surprised when I told Gracia I had a budget of less than $70 and she was more than accomodating. I had just below shoulder-length hair and had 2 reference pictures of what I wanted (a much shorter style), and following several minutes of discussion, Gracia was able to completely understand what I was seeking out of my new haircut. Fast forward past a long and thorough shampoo/condition and about 6 total inches of length on the floor, I was COMPLETELY thrilled that Gracia had created exactly what I had asked for. I'm so in love with this new cut and will for SURE return. Many thanks to Gracia and the entire Eyma staff for being so accommodating and friendly. :)

I went to EYMA after I found it online after a traumatic hair experience. Jackie is amazing. She not only worked with me for hours (!!) at an incredibly reasonable rate, she also made sure I was comfortable, relaxed, and that I knew what she was doing each step of the way. Jackie's comforting manner was just the thing I needed to calm me down. My hair was a big challenge to fix without damaging further, but Jackie is a true professional and I walked out of there feeling and looking so much better. I am looking forward to my next experience at EYMAs and to being in Jackie's capable hands. The staff there also seemed lovely, especially Auriel who made the whole booking and welcoming experience exactly what I wanted and needed.

Claudia is a complete life saver! She is excellent at what she does. A real artist who takes her work seriously. She listens, provides great advice and ideas, but never pushy. She has years of experience, keeps up on the latest color techniques (ombre, balayage, highlights, etc) and other style trends, and executes with classic elegance. I have had more compliments on my hair since seeing Claudia than I have in years! I used to go to a very popular, fancy salon in Georgetown, but now I will not go back. From calling for an appointment to my cut and color everything was great! The owner welcomed me, Gloria and I had great conversation while cut, color and styling went on. She even reassured me that if my color was too bold I could come back and get it toned down. The flow of the salon and staff was great and everyone was so pleasant. I will definitely be back!

I have been a client of Eyal at Eyma Salon for over 15 years. The salon is chic, but very low key. The staff, as well as the owners are extremely friendly and make you feel welcome with no pretense. Each stylist listens to their clients and you can feel that they genuinely care about you and your hair. In addition, Eyma has their own line of exceptional hair care products that keep your hair shiny and healthy. I book my appointments for every six weeks and I am never disappointed. Color, cut and style are always beautifully matched to my personality, face shape, and skin coloring. Kudos to Eyal for 15 wonderful years of hair perfection. I am moving to Florida in late July, and Eyal will be a hard act to follow. I most likely will be returning to Bethesda on a regular basis to continue to have my hair styled by Eyal at Eyma Salon.

I came here for the first time this weekend and left with perfect hair. I hadn't had my hair colored in years and was very nervous to try out a salon I'd never been to with a stylist I didn't know, but Evelin far exceeded my expectations!!! I left with a PERFECT balayage straight off of pinterest. There are no obvious lines or splotches, it seriously looks like my natural hair. I can part it in the middle, left, or right; pull it in a pony tail or half up/half down and you can't see lines. It is flawless. I am so happy and can't wait to come back for a touch up!! I can't recommend Evelin enough!

EYMA is a wonderful salon, and Claudia is the best stylist I have ever had! She truly does an amazing job and her attention to detail is unmatched. Claudia is a perfectionist and it shows in her awesome work. I have had a hard time finding a salon in Bethesda over the last 8 years but I'm so glad I found her a year ago.
