I go to the student massage clinic a couple of times a month and it's great! Can't beat the value. I wouldn't necessarily recommend going for a 'sports/deep tissue massage' as they usually stick with the relaxing stuff but if you get Julia LoSauto you're in for a real treat. She can dish it out and delivers quality that rivals and even surpasses professional massages I've received

She was thorough, attentive, enthusiastic and I ended up with a deep red all-over color and purple highlights (which was my intent), and side swept bangs. I had a great experience with Carmen. I wanted to try an undercut (my first time having one) and she seemed a little nervous at first because she hadn't done one before, but she did a great job and I'm really happy with the result! She also gave me a great wash and trim. I will definitely be back. It was a fun environment and the instructors were very professional as they helped the students. I also want to give props to Kaitlyn and Ashley who have since worked on my hair. Love the clinic, I'll keep coming back. The students are enthusiastic and do great work.

Went to get a cut and color and I’m very happy with the results! This was my first time getting a haircut in over 3 years and Sarah Avery took great care of me. She knew I was very nervous about cutting my hair and explained just how much she was going to cut off and why (I had lots of split ends). She also gave me a great balayage that really helped lighten up my hair. It looks so pretty! We also added the most subtle bits of peachy pink in as a “gateway to color” as she called it. Will definitely be going back for my next trim and touch up!!

The instructor was knowledgeable and friendly; it seems to be a great atmosphere for learning. I got a trim from student Daija Lindsay. She was fantastic, personable, and held great conversation during the time I was there. She appeared to genuinely care about my experience during every step and ensured I was comfortable. She completed exactly what I asked for without issue. The one thing I would critique is the waiting area. It is very narrow and there were a lot of people coming out while I was waiting. I felt like the chairs were poorly set up and it was hard not to feel in the way as people were checking out/students were leaving.

Had an amazing back facial a few weeks ago with Jocelyn. I love the services offered at spa tech and the students are awesome. Today I had my eyelashes tinted with Hannah she did a wonderful job. I have been involved with Spa Tech in Westbrook, ME since 2017 when I enrolled in my first program as a Nail Tech student. I graduated with much support from my fellow classmates and the staff! I became a lisenced Nail Tech thanks to my lovely Instructor Shirley! After graduation and State Boards, I immediately became enrolled in the Student Instructor program! Graduated again, and became lisenced to instruct, and do so now at Spa Tech! I am currently enrolled in my Third, yes THIRD program, of Cosmetology and I couldn’t be happier! 2/21/2019 UPDATE - Today's visit with SHEENA was a color with highlight and low light foils. Sheena was very patient with not only me and all my questions about adding low lights, but also with the morning stress that a snow storm brings. She kept any stress she may have been experiencing at the curb, very professional, very attentive. The end result was phenomenal. The depth that the low lights gave my hair gave me an entire new look, while also not altering my look too much. (Sheena knows that "change" for me has to be in baby steps.) Thank you Sheena for this game changer!! I love it. Though you are in a classroom setting, the process is so professional. Sheena was very confident in procedures and followed all school protocols that require faculty consultation and technique review. From the highlight, to cut, I was inspired by Sheena's love of what she does that translates to a hairstyle I was super proud of. After the hair style, I had the most luxurious facial that took place in a calming room, with soothing music. Sheena's careful attention to detail and her comforting manner, made this first-time facial experience truly rejuvenating. Thank you Sheena!

Both my kids and I went in for haircuts with some of the barber students, Chan, Keith, and forgive me because I forgot the gentleman that did my haircut! I was super nervous at first because I was having about 6 inches off my hair, and my hair hadn't been cut in approximately 10 years. So you can imagine how nervous I was. After all said and done, I was so incredibly impressed with how well the 3 gentlemen did cutting our hair! It would of taken five more minutes for my hair to be finished. Now I have to wait five days with unfinished hair. I payed money for my hair to be finished. The young women doing my hair was willing to stay later but the teachers were not

Chan is one of the barber's he gives great cuts my 12yr old won't go any where else. Spa Tech is a very special place to me. My journey started in 2018 when the first face I saw was, Carolyn who manages the front desk with grace, patience and humor. Angela who is very kind and funny worked with me to make a comprehensive financial aid package. Michelle clearly loves her job and has a wealth of real world knowledge on how to get people to come to events and how to make incoming potential students feel like they are already home. Doreen, Candace and Christine the Aesthetics instructors had far more faith in me than I ever did and with the completion 600hrs and passing of Boards I am a Licensed Aesthetician. Peggy and Julia have a very special gift for knowing exactly what I need before I was aware that I needed anything at all. Like returning for another 600hrs to become a Massage Thereapist, or spending extra hrs helping me moldmy craft and most importantly creating a safe space to heal and grow. Patrice, Shelby, Abigail, Lucie, John and Yolanda are only a few of the Massage and Polarity Instructors all dedicated and knowledgeable professionals in their own right. They hold each other and their students at their highest. They taught me the skills to do the same with myself, my family and my community. Last but never least, Niki and all the women who work tirelessly behind the scenes in the office you are amazing, always availible and willing to help me when I was feeling overwhelmed. I went to spa tech back in the fall and had a wonderful experience with Kelsea. She did a great job on my hair and was fun to work with. With that in mind, I brought my sister in for some foil highlights last night. It was a much different situation this time. We spent over 30 minutes waiting for the teacher to finish the consult, then to get someone to check her trim was another 20 minutes. It was crazy, constantly waiting on the teachers to check her beautiful work, while they were laughing and chatting around the corner. There was no reason for us to be there from 1:45p-7:45p. I would love to see Kelsea again, but I am afraid to make an appointment and be stuck for over six hours, mostly waiting on a teacher (who was asked more than once) to come over and double check.

Today was my first time getting hair cut at Spa Tech and I am sorry to say that it will be the last time. All though my hair-girl was friendly and I was excited to find out that she will be graduating in January thinking that she is experienced by now, she had no clue what she was doing. Screwed up my hair to the max and it took her 2 hours to do so. I showed her a picture with a simple hair- do but she had agenda of her own. I can't even explain how bad it looks. Teachers are not attentive and not checking their work which should be done several times during the procedures. That student is not ready to graduate let alone work in a professional salon unsupervised and I am not sure what those teachers are there for since none of them is paying any attention to what students are doing :- (

It was super easy to book and everyone there is so nice and down to earth. I had Christen M and she was such a delight!! PROs and CONs of "The Day of Beauty" at Spa Tech, Westbrook. What they say "day", they really mean a day. PROS: $30 for a manicure, facial, scalp treatment, hair cut, shampoo and style. Yes, you read that right, only $30 for ALL of that! I got to pick my nail color, relax with a warm towel facial, feel my scalp tingle from the treatment and cut off 8 inches of hair! Everyone is so kind. The students seem to like each other and the instructors were great. Each student has their own station to call home. It's a pretty busy place! Loads of options for things to be done there! The Day Of Beauty was what I signed up for, but they offer a ton of other things. Waxing, makeup, eyebrows, messages, pedicures, specialized facials, etc. CONS: The earliest appointment option is 10am and only weekdays. I checked out of there at 2:50 pm. No breaks, no lunch, though water was provided. (Aka, bring a snack or two!) The quality of the nail polish doesn't feel great. Maybe it's the finish they used? I picked an Opi color since I like the brand, but my nails still feel tacky and the color feels soft. It was just a lot longer of a day than I anticipated. Luckily, I'm a very patient person and had nowhere to be, so it didn't matter for me, but if you're going to make plans for after this package deal, be sure it's evening plans. TDLR; I will for sure be back, but for one service at a time since it takes awhile. The price is definitely right!

2/27/19- Randi-lyn is one of the best hairdressers!! The first time she did my hair, I wanted some caramel highlights and it came out amazing! This second time I wanted my hair a ashy blonde color..it can be a hard process for that color. When she does my hair, she takes her time with it to make sure its perfection. She also doesnt want to fry my hair out from dying it so much so she takes her time with letting it process for there to be another session. She took the extra time to get the color perfect and worked past what she was scheduled to make sure my hair looked amazing. I was very let down by my experience as a student at SpaTech Institute: In the beginning of my time there I was very optimistic. I thought this was the best decision I was making for myself and my future. However, after 200 hours my class and I were put out on the floor to start taking clients. This was an exciting time, but it was ruined. The instructors are beyond disrespectful and make the learning environment toxic. They ignore students, talk about students badly with other students, and are extremely unprepared. They lie to you and say they take your comments and concerns seriously, but I've spoken to several instructors about how badly I was feeling toward my education and I even wrote several concerns to Peggy and Charolette, the head of the school. Nothing ever came of it. They don't consider the student or your education. You pay nearly $20,000 to be belittled and bullied not just by your peers, but by your instructors. I would not recommend attending this school or receiving a service there. It's a hostile environment and I am not the only person who thinks so. I have 10 other people to attest to the behavior and malicious "vibes". Don't waste your money, find somewhere better.
