The owner Terryl needs to SHUT UP!!!!! Every time I am in there he is talking loud and he THINKS he knows everything!!! I know female salons is a place for gossip, but he takes it over board. Thought he was gay when I first met him, but he says he is married. Hair stylist need more training. Not that great! I would not recommend them if you need color or highlights done. Only if you want to leave with "jacked up" hair. The other services I can not comment on as I have not had them done. TOO EXPENSIVE FOR THE QUALITY OF WORK THEY DO OR LACK OF.

Simply the best hair salon in Shreveport/Bossier area. I've been their customer for about a year after experimenting with many other "not so good" salons. Terrell (the owner) is a highly trained and an experienced hair specialist. The employees are always very friendly and polite.

Had two really great experiences at Total Changes. Am new to the area and looked up hair salons and Total Changes seemed a little different so I gave it a try. First time there I had my hair cut by Terryl. I was very pleased. He really listened to what I wanted and he delivered and then some! Yes, he does talk a lot but I found him to be interesting and enjoyed my time there. My second visit I had my hair colored with their color special and I am just amazed!! Amber used 4 different colors and I can honestly say I have never had a better hair coloring...ever. I told her she's an artist. She clearly loves her job. I will keep going back and am trying to get my husband to get his haircut there as well. Very very pleased!!

I am in town for my nieces wedding and was in desperate need of a hair cut. They got me right in. Jennifer did an amazing job and Terrell helped out when she needed (she is a relatively new stylist) I loved the atmosphere and the music was a plus. Would definitely recommend. Wish I could take ger back with me.

I first moved here from Virginia and I went to sports clips to get a hair cut. I asked for a simple fade with a 2 on the sides and finger length on top. lady at sports clips made me look like peacock. so my mother Deborah Oge recommended me to Terrell at total changes. I went there and I have not been to another place since then. Terrell is the best stylist I ever had. I enjoy being able to have the conversations we have. I recommend this place to anyone looking to get high quality haircuts

Well ill start by saying I moved to Shreveport a few months ago and I found Total changes online...I read nothing but great reviews and so I went to try it out..... and...I just have to say.....I LOVE LOVE LOVE this salon. Both Terrell and Brittney have done work on my hair and I love it! the atmosphere is great ..AND I always get exactly what I ask for.. I couldn't say anything negative about Total Changes!! you guys rock!

I went in to see Terrell (my name is Kerri, 1/2/2015 & 830am) and i was very vague in what i wanted. I hadn't been to a salon in a long time and Total Changes was just a hopeful stab int he dark after a few hours of trolling Google. I had been growing my hair for years with very little ambition and he somehow managed to take what i was 'trying' to say and turn it in to something brilliant. He fixed up my color and got it perfect then he gave me a beautiful cut. And i love it. I'm a stay at home mom of two little girls and hadn't been feeling very pretty and now i feel great. Looking in the mirror and seeing something other than frump makes a huge difference to me. So thank you Terrell! I will keep coming back!!!

I've gone to this salon twice so far. Both times Kelsey has done my hair, and both times I have had an amazing experience. She brought my hair from a darker brown to such a pretty blonde color in one session. It came out SO good and I'm SO in love with it. I get LOTS of compliments on it. I'd highly recommend this salon. Getting your hair done by new people at a new place is always nerve racking, but everyone I came into contact with there was extremely pleasant. They all seem close to each other and passionate about what they do. I'll definitely keep coming back.

Been going to this salon for over 2 years and I've never had a bad experience. Kelsey is my regular stylist and she is the BOMB. Terrell is my secondary when Kelsey isn't available but honestly their entire staff is incredible. I am constantly getting compliments on the color and style of my hair. Total Changes is the ONLY place I trust with my hair. I'm so picky, but they never cease to amaze me. They do such great color, cuts, and styles. I've never left there less than satisfied. The owner Terryl, is SO friendly, and makes sure all of the customers are comfortable. It's a great atmosphere, and very inviting. The stylists are just amazing. They really get to know you, and get to know exactly what you want. Everyone is very talented, and they will help you with any questions you have. Overall this is the best hair salon in my opinion. Not only because of the talent of the stylists, or how nice everyone is, but the salon is VERY reasonably priced. They do not over price things at all, and you're defientally making a good investment, because you will not be let down here. I highly recommend Total Changes. Kelsey is my stylist and I love her work! No matter who you choose, you'll be happy. They're all amazing!

This place is great! Honestly I didn't think that this place would be good at Men's haircut, but I was wrong, my stylist Amber always does a great job. I enjoy the fact that I can make my appointments online and get it all taken care of and when I come in, my stylist is waiting for me...so I'm very happy and satisfied

I have been going to this salon for a little over a year. Amber is my stylist and she is AMAZING!!!! The owner Terrell (I hope I spelled it right) is the BEST. Very professional very nice very TALENTED!!!!! I WILL NEVER GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!!! This has been my hair salon for a while now and to be honest I love it. But they lost my business today. When I go to get my hair done I want my stylist focused on me. Today my stylist was shuffling me out and another lady in. Doing a color on both of us. I am changing my hair style and was so excited about it until all of this. Now I'm back to trying to find someone to do my hair.

I came in on 5/25 for a 12 noon wash/cut/style. I was in and out in 30 minutes. Very nice people and my hair came out just how I imagined. Ive been trying to find a good salon worth the price for a while and I will definitely go back to Total Changes! Love it.

I have been to a couple different stylists, who were messing my hair up in more ways than 1. The color was awful, my hair was being overlapped with color which was causing damage, and it would take over 3 without blow drying/styling my hair. I came to total changes, Mrs. Paula to be exact, and I was a bit apprehensive due to previous experience. Low and behold I was AMAZED, literally. Not just that my hair exceeded my expectations but from start to finish it only took 2 hours, total! Yes, I said 2 hours!!! That's a miracle compared to the previous places I went to. That was full hi-light, wash, blow-dry, and style!!! Oh and Mrs. Paula and staff are friendly, make you feel like you've known them forever, and they play Christian music..WHAT...yes, really!!!! So, I would rate total changes, with 10 being the highest, to a 20! :)

This is the place I've been looking for! Jennifer "gets" me even when I do a poor job of explaining what I want done. :) I always leave feeling great, and I get lots of compliments on my cut. I am also impressed with how negative comments are responded to--not avoided, not defensive, but offering to talk about a problem and make it right. Great testimony, right there!

I found Total Changes via a Yelp search and I must say I was n disappointed. Went in for a consultation and Terrell took his time explaining color choices and then his cut recommendation. I was able to get the color and cut the same day. The lady that shampooed my hair gave a great head massage! During the color & cut there was great conversation and Terrell also explained some techniques to a trainee which was interesting. The overall experience gets a two thumbs up from me. I'll be going back when the gray haired monsters show up again.

I thought after reading the praise of one customer i would try to finally go to this salon because my friend goes there and i thought i could trust them. So i asked for amber and when showing her a several pics of a longer bob slanted down at the ends, she proceeded to cut it into a very short bob at her own discretion and disregarded what i had told her altogether! I was very dissapointed and then she rushed me out after i had told her i was interested in a color when i sat down with her and she actually asked me about the color while i was paying at the desk which at this point i said no thank you! My friend said she did the same thing to her after she said to leave it longer, she cut it short! I mean, why even have a consult? My friend is now going to an awesome lady on mansfield rd. Because she got tired of her not listening.

Awesome salon with amazing staff! I booked my appointment online (which is awesome), but booked it incorrectly for the color I really wanted. Terrell was great at understanding exactly what I wanted within about a minute and asked Taylor if she could take me and do a balayage. Taylor did an amazing job on my hair and the price was super reasonable! Terrell then stayed open late in order to finish my cut. Overall amazing and personalized experience with awesome results at a great price! Highly recommend this salon, and I wish I was going to be living in this area longer so I could make it my go to!

I have been going to Terrell Methvin since I was 12 years old, and I am now in my mid 30's. My son, Dad, brother and Nephews also go to him. The guy is one of the coolest people you will ever meet. In all the years I have been going to him I can't remember a time I didn't love my hair when I left. My wife and my Mom go to Paula Methvin, and they love her to death. My son, who is 3, saw Terrell when he was 2 for his first haircut. Terrell let him come back a few times so that he wouldn't be scared of the trimmers and scissors. Now he asks to go get his haircut when it is getting long. They are professional and good people, and I hear the other stylists that work there are awesome too.

I went for a cut and color today with Paula and I was totally satisfied with the results. I read all the reviews before making an appt and with that being said the reviews were correct. I was treated so well from the time I entered the shop until I left to go home. Paula did an amazing job on both the color and cut. I haven’t been this satisfied with a hair stylist in years!
