I searched through many reviews looking for someone to braid my hair. I am so happy that i found this salon. The stylist/braiders were so friendly and professional. I was a walk in and was treated with the respect of the people with appointments. I do suggest calling and making an appointment. These ladies are truly gifted. If you have a photo of the style that you want ahead of time, just call and/or text it to them. The most important aspect of this salon was that they get alone and work well (professionally) together. As one stylist finished her client, she went to give aid to other stylist. I am truly pleased with my hair and will book them for my next style.

I am not pleased.I tried to explain to the lady how I wanted the front of my hair but she insisted on doing 6 braids. I wanted 5 and I wante them going to the back of my head.l wanted the braids bigger at the top and thinner at the bottom so I would be able to make a bun to the back. She was too set on how she thought I should have it.

HORRIBLE!! I came in, showed a picture, and got a quote (maybe $80+). Came back the next week and they quote me a $200 price!! I said that's not what I was told & they asked WHO did I speak to. REALLY??!! I didn't have time to make another apt since it was 5pm in the evening...so I had to leave & go to an ATM and get more cash. That should have been my sign to NOT come back. I let them get started and I'm telling her over & over that it's too tight. The braider obviously didn't comprehend....NEVER went back!!

I was skeptical after reading the reviews and being from out of town that's all i had to go on. However, my experience was great. I had two people on my head most of the time and I got in and out in just over 5 hrs. That has never happened to me. I was expecting the younger lady to have massive attitude based on other reviews, but it was quite the opposite she was very polite, fast and efficient. It's four stars because of the lack of parking, and the owners sister was suppose slow and her attitude I could have dealt without. If I'm ever in Baton Rouge again, this will be my shop.

I will be giving them my business and referring my co workers and relatives to them. The shop is clean and it’s lots of laughter and smiles with a reasonable price. I'll give them 4 stars on behalf of their skills. The older ladies in there are pretty ok but there was one particular little girl (17-18yrs old) in there only once of the three times I've been there that little girl was very disrespectful and knowing my temper i just stepped out to collect myself. Only because my daughter was being serviced i didn't leave, but after all like always i was extremely satisfied with the results.

Hi everyone, I hope this review finds you well, and that it may be helpful for you deciding to go here. My experience at this place will probably go down as one of the worst. As a frequent to Box BRAIDS (usually down my back) I decided to try something a bit different this time and go with a Bob. After sitting in the older lady's chair and beginning my appointment 40 minutes after it was scheduled to begin I showed the braider a picture of the hair style (length and size). Halfway through I had to advise that the length would not be suffice to achieve the style I asked for. **My braider stopped numerous times during my appointment to consult with additional clients, which may have been the reason she was not able to grasp what I had requested of her** When I called to confirm my appointment, I asked if hair was supplied. Which during, I was told "no", as to why I went out and purchased 3 bags of hair to bring. Two younger girls were there when I got there, that was prepping the hair for the braiders to use but wasted so much of it combing through it and just throwing it on the floor. After using my 3 bags, she used a half of bag of what they supplied. During her side consultations, I overheard my braider quoting clients a price of $180 if using hair they bring. I was charged $210. After braiding, I asked her to measure for length, but she just began to burn the ends. Once completed she did not seal the hair with hot water and mousse which is very important if you're planning on your hairstyle lasting for a while. Braids down my back took 8 hours, this bob took my braider 8 1/2 hours, all to leave out with a bob that is unintentionally uneven.

I called Saturday morning and asked if they had any openings for a walk-in. They said yes. Come for 11. I said I wanted Sengalese twist. They said it would be $200. I said okay. I arrived and the employees asked "can I help you"? I said I called and was told to be here for 11. They got their sister on the phone, who I apparently talked to although she wasn't in the shop and said it was an error, can I come back tomorrow. I said okay. I went back 9:30 the next morning. And apparently the sister is the only one who could do the Sengalese braids and again, she wasn't there. I ended up getting kinky twist. When burning the ends, they burned all the way up the hair. My hair isn't short. So they burned my real hair. And they halfway curled it with the rollers and hot water. I had to recurl it the next morning as they were coming loose. It's been one week on a style you can wear two months and the back is coming completely undone. I couldnt redo the back like I did the front and frankly after $200, I shouldn't have to. I'll never go to them again. Not even to fix this mess I paid for.
