I am so tired of Call Ahead... It is not really any different than calling for a set appointment and it negates the concept of truly being a walk-in salon. It is irritating and frustrating to arrive for a cut, wait patiently for your turn and then be bypassed by people who called ahead and get taken before you. I will be looking for another place to get my hair cut. I have no issues with the staff or the product but reject the very concept of call-ahead...if I am going to call-ahead I want a guaranteed time. Ugh.

My husband & son started going to Sideburn's & kept consistently coming home with good haircuts, whereas in the past, it was 'hit or miss' on getting a nice haircut. One day, I had to take my son for his haircut, & since I was in a hurry, I took him where I was getting my hair cut (it was closer). The hair dresser butchered his hair. She didn't listen or just chose to do the complete opposite of what I asked. Up until then, my husband had been telling me I should take our girls & myself to Sideburn's. Not long after, 2 of my girls needed haircuts; I took them to Sideburn's & was relieved to see how much care they put into my little girls' haircuts. My kids love the atmosphere, but my husband & I love getting consistently great haircuts! What a relief to not have to stress over bad haircuts anymore!

We saw there was a lot of great reviews so we decided to try it out. The pros unfortunately did not outweigh the cons and we will not be back. Starting positively, the staff is friendly and the decorative theme is fun. Prices are average for the area. What stood out to me that impacts my decision to be back is a few factors. 1. The hairdresser asked more questions than what should be expected for a guys haircut when there is a picture. Edited to clarify: Some questions are understandable. You can tell the difference between certain questions and questions we would have to attend cosmetology school to know ourselves. 2. She did not sweep up the prior customers hair. I offered to and she then swept part of it not all and pushed it to the side. Dustpans anyone? Leaving half of it under the chair and in the walkway seemed odd. * edited to clarify : I asked for the hair to be swept. Even then it was only half swept and left. Immediate action was not taken and was not followed through. 3. The haircut is uneven. Not accurate and needs to be grown out to fix. We had to point out the obvious fixable parts. 4. The man next to us had the same issue having to ask them to fix the uneveness etc. 5. The lobby is decent in exception of edited: * a few* ripped chairs that dont look like they belong. Also balls from children go flying hitting customers and are left rolling around the floor which is a safety hazard. In combination... We feel its friendly for families and a quick cut if needed maybe for a small child or very simple mens buzz. Dont expect a lot. * additional comment to add: If you have an issue ... The management seems to reply promptly. Which is good! As reviews are intended to provide insight and perceptions. A business may have great intentions however the bottom line is business, quality and level of service. We are glad the manager has let us know their procedures and truly do understand it is a place for family fun as they have stated. As my review says... Very family friendly. It is great to have a place children can be comfortable and feel the freedom to to play ball and release some of that magic energy they have. I feel everyone has their own standards and expectations.... Thank you Sideburn Stadium management team for the many explanations and reasonings. Its nice you let us know you do 550 haircuts a week! Thats great! My son who is 15 did leave a review also as to his experience and me as mom who paid and witnessed the breakdown in processes felt it was acceptable to leave my feedback. As for the chairs? Im glad they let us know they are faux leather, from walmart and they are getting free shipping. Yaay! Thats a good deal. My review is of the experience and overall impression. I have edited my review for clarification. Were happy they let us know their business is thriving and wish the business a great year.

I've gone here for years. Since they opened. I had the same guy mess up my haircut two times in a row. The owner went out of his way to make sure it was fixed. Probably going to have to let Allison do it from now on. She's their best stylist.

I go here twice a month for my haircuts and I’m a very indecisive person. I go in and never know what I want to do with my hair. They will help you decide on what you think looks good for you and they will help you through the entire process it’s easy and efficient. You go in and sign in and pick a stylist to work with (if you don’t have a stylist preference don’t worry because they are all quality) I choose Alex every time she is available. She is relatable and I trust her with my hair and she is a great person to talk to she really makes you feel like your best friends. All in all it’s your choice to go but in my opinion if you’ve never been it’s time to start. I give them a two thumbs up!

Made a 5:00 pm appointment online the morning of for my 6 year old. Got there at 4:55 and checked in. At 5:15 I asked how much longer and she said it would be at least 40 more minutes...I asked about the appointment and she said they dont take appointments and she wasnt sure why the website said that. I even have a confirmation email with the appointment time and stylist. The basketball court for kids is a joke and a safety hazard and of course there was no xbox that we could find. Will not be going back.

After reading nothing but great reviews for this salon, I decided to take my daughter for a haircut and asked for her to have long layers. I called before I came and I was told there was no wait. I live just around the corner so I got there within 5 min of calling and when I came in, no one greeted us, the employees at the desk was either talking amongst themselves and not paying attention while one employee had her head down writing something and told me "just sign your name on the clip bored" I thought it was very rude to not achnoledge the fact that I was standing there. A simple "hello" would have been fine. So I sign my daughter in and we both have a seat. We waited for about 15 to 20 minutes which wouldn't be that bad if they had been busy, but most of the staff in the back had no clients and were again talking amongst themselves. I was about to leave until the gentlemen called my daughters name. She was supposed to get a shampoo and long layers. After he finished cutting her hair I went to the front desk to pay for it and the gentlemen that cut my daughters hair was then rubbing the girls shoulders at the front desk. This place is very unprofessional not to mention my daughters hair was still wet and It looked like someone cut her hair and didn't finish with it. I didn't notice any of this until I came home. I wanted to go back to have them fix it, but my daughter whom is a teenager didn't want to, so I tried fixing her hair myself. I was very disappointed because I was expecting this experience to be great giving the great reviews online. But my experience was far from that. I was able to fix my daughters hair and she now likes her haircut. Needless to say, we will not be back.

Went in around 30 min ago 4 people working and noone in the whole place ,not a single person tried to help me I took a chair thinkng someone would say come on back. No one did they were too busy on cell phones or making signs to close early on computer. Ive been going to this place for a few years and usually tip 5.00 per hair cut and will not go back my time and my money are worth more than that

We are regular patrons of Sideburns, but today was especially meaningful as haircuts for my husband and three boys was on the house because the owner knows I’m not getting paid. He is offering free haircuts to any government employee who is going without a paycheck. The staff are awesome, the cuts look great, and the owner really cares about the community. I read nothing but good reviews so I thought it had to be worthwhile, but as I go in not only were the teenagers there disengaged and not welcoming, the woman who cut my hair left my sideburns strikingly uneven just before an important interview I had. And what's more, my mid-fade didn't even look as tho I had got a cut. And I had to pay to around 20 for a terrible mid-fade with uneven sideburns. Very bad experience, definitely not returning.
