My little guy's first haircut was a success. At first I was hesitant to come in because of some of the reviews I read online, but I am glad that I went in and tried it out for myself. Bubby loved the atmosphere and the toys in the waiting area. His stylist was very patient and sweet to him, not to mention, very swift yet thorough. I recommend it.

I have brought my son here in the past and he used to love it, however this last visit of ours two weeks ago was awful. The stylist seemed annoyed we ever walked in the door. She didn't say a single word to my son, who was nervous about his haircut. He wanted to pick his seat and the stylist just shook her head while she moved her tools down... I ended up leaving with him minutes later after he became more afraid of the clippers he saw. Aside from "how do you like his hair"? she said nothing the whole time we were in there, stood with her hand on her hip, watching me while I tried to calm him. I understand kids aren't the most cooperative clientele in the world but I have to ask. Why would a stylist who is seemingly annoyed by nervous kids work in a kid's specialty salon? She was so unfriendly my son and I will not be returning.

We've had good experiences and bad experiences here. Always the staff is sweet and treats my son so well. The only issue is that the haircuts don't always look so great. It's hard for me to tell how much of that is a wiggly kid vs. not a great haircut. For the results I've gotten a few times, I think the price is a little high. But when the haircut is good, I feel it's worth the cost.

Haircut was ok, not great, but ok. The issue we had was the lady kept talking about how drunk she got last night. In front of our 4 year old kids. So no, we won't be going back.

We have been bringing our 3 year old here since he started getting haircuts. We love the staff and we are always pleased with the haircuts! It amazes me how well his hair looks because he doesn't sit still at all! The staff work well with him while he's moving around.

My toddler and I love this place! He loves all the toys of course too. They always take their time and make sure he's comfortable and are willing to change the movie to something he likes to keep him calm. Always get the exact hair cut and style we ask for as well. I'm so glad we found this place! Staff is super friendly. Recommend to everyone with littles.

This is our second visit. Both have been great.lots of fun toys for the kids to play with while we wait and always a good movie playing. Even the Dum Dum suckers help us get through but sometimes tough experience. The stylist we've had both times is a little quirky but very good at working with the kids and giving them a good cut. As far as I'm concerned I don't see a reason to ever take my girls anywhere else.

This place was incredible! The lady cut my son's hair quickly and efficiently while also making it look adorable! They even gave a little post card with a lock of hair at the end as a keepsake of his first haircut. I have already recommended this place to others and do plan on returning for his haircuts in the future.

I love this place! I took my little boy for his first hair cut and was worried it wouldn't be able to get done because, he isn't too keen on people touching him but, he was the complete opposite. The girl that cut his hair did such a great job with him! I was in awe. Plus, she did a great job on his first"big boy" haircut! Thanks, Kiddie Kastle

I've had 2 bad experiences here out of maybe 6 or 7. The other times have been fine. My first bad experience, was when the clippers they used cut my son's neck last year. I got an apology and a free haircut. The second was today, I went in and asked for the same haircut I always do. I told the lady two different time, how I wanted his hair done (not straight across the top, at a slant going from short to long) and she cut it wrong BOTH times making it way to short. After trying to explain why I didn't like it, she proceeded to tell me (the parent) how I was the one that was wrong. I told her it looked too straight across the top, and I wanted it to slant. She said "Because thats how I cut it..I've done this same cut 100 times and I've done it the same way, your hair cut is free, I don't care." I got massive attitude, she admitted that she did the opposite of what I said, not to mention I GOT NO APOLOGY. Which is NOT okay. I think a manager should have to be in the store 24/7.

Extremely disappointed by this place i dont even want to give one star but that is the only way you can leave a review . Took my son for his first haircut here obviously super excited and nervous . Well i told the blonde lady that was working that i wanted a trim and to not cut too much off the front due to all of his hair has not come in yet. Well his hair was cut atleast an inch too high in the front and the back. I also had to take him back in and get the front straightened out because it was completely crooked and she missed a bunch of hairs on the back of his neck. When i walked in the lady had absolutely no customers so she was not in a rush at all and it took her probably 3 minutes to cut my sons hair. I felt like she took absolutely no time at all to cut his hair which is ridiculous especially considering that it was his first haircut. Im so disappointed and will never take my son back here. If the owners of this establishment would like to see pictures of this awful haircut i recieved please feel free to reply to me .

My daughter took her son here for his first haircut and was so impressed that she took him back. The ladies interacted with him, showed him the scissors and clippers and talked to him the whole time making him comfortable. She took him yesterday for a trim for his birthday pictures. This person was very rude. She had no interaction with him at all. She jumped right in and started cutting his hair. As she was working he started crying and her just assuming he was being a bratty child didn't stop to see if there was a problem. My daughter finally had her stop and took him to the bathroom to clean his face off. He had hair in his eye and it stayed red for over an hour. She never checked to see if everything was ok. This person should not be working in a salon for kids. Honestly I wouldn't let her touch my hair. This person knew when they came out of the restroom and said "we're good. No charge. I hope they fix this problem and make it better like the 1st visits. This was the most horrific visit ever.

I have to give this place five stars because my very young child had a complete meltdown in the chair and she still just kept cutting in trying. Thank you for doing your best on his hair I know he was really tough but I admire your professionalism.

We have taken our son here 3 different times. The first was horrible, it looked like he cut his own hair. We took him back to get it fixed. So we thought ok let’s give them another chance. The second time was the actual owner and she did a way better job. So we went back for a third time and got the lady we had the first time.... Ohmygosh horrible experience. My son looked horrible :( My husband took him, so mind you I didn’t see it until he got home. She cut his bangs straight across and uneven... we had to take him to great clips to get it fixed... they did such an amazing job. Even the stylist at great clips agreed his haircut did not look like a professional did it. Kiddie castle will no longer get out business, and it sucks bc my son loves the place. I really really wish the owner would fire the stylist and get one who knows what she is doing. Not to mention she was horrible with my son, didn’t even speak to him and acted very annoyed bc he was nervous. I will not recommend this place to anyone . Hopefully in the future you will get people who know how to cut hair and deal with children.

I think not taking appointments is inconvenient. Unfortunately with little ones, even with toys and movies available, it is difficult to wait two hours for a hair cut. It's understaffed. Lots of lost business from me over the years.
