The salon is pretty, but I don't want to pay for a pretty salon, I want to pay for a hairdresser that is professional. I went to elements bc it was close to home and I needed a hair trim severely. I normally wouldn't stray from my normal hair dresser but she was booked for weeks and I couldn't handle my split ends. Plus I was feeling adventurous. :)
I call the salon and am told the Stephen is a master stylist charges 60 for a cut and is very good, I took a leap and said ok. Could get apt that same day within, 2 hours, Red flag #1.
Upon arrival I was greeted by Stephen and his assistant, I showed my hair, which I had straightened do that he could see my hair better with the layers etc.
He very quickly assured he could do as I asked. Was overly confident, dismissive, and did not feel or touch my hair to look at it properly. Red flag #2
Hair was washed and placed under dryer while I waited for him.
He took me back and assumed a part on the WRONG side, Didn't ask.
I corrected him and had him part on the left side. He parted it crooked.
He spent more time talking then cutting. Loved to talk about himself WAYYY to much. Did not listen to anything I said about my hair.
Was ready to finish my haircut and I had to remind him I wanted my bangs cut back at an angle about 3 inches. what a Joke. I don't know what he gave me but they were not bangs.
He said "finished" and I was surprised. But I didn't want to go into the fact that non of my layers were blended as I asked for, the V shape of my hair that I told him I need to keep was cut off. It was a joke. I wanted to RUN!!!
At checkout he charged me 75. I had to ASK why? I was quoted 60. He said it was for the conditioner that was on my head while I waited. I was floored. He ended up adjusting it back to 60.00 What a joke, I hope he stops doing this to customers.
If you go to this place watch out for Stephen and I think all the stylists there charge their own price so I cant speak on them. But if your gonna charge 60 bucks the service better be worth 60. Never again.
