I’ve been going to Heather at Salon Halo for years now and I couldn’t be happier. She keeps meticulous notes which means when I come in and say I loved what we did last time she’s able to recreate it perfectly. She always understands what I need even if all I say is “I feel really meh right now and need a change.” She’s also just a really fun person and our appointments feel more like hanging out. My curly hair looks better than ever and I’ll definitely stay with Heather as long as we’re both in KC!

Ashley did my tape-in extensions and I absolutely love them. She’s so sweet and makes you feel comfortable being there. I loved them so much I can’t wait to go back and get them re-Installed. Salon is in a cute area in little Italy and I have had no problem traveling here from north kc.

I had the same experience as another reviewer- Ginger was 20 minutes late and then not only did she not apologize but she was incredibly rude to me the entire time. I've never received such terrible service at a salon. She acted hung over or like she hates her job and wanted to take it out on someone. Everything she said had a condecending tone and was dripping with sarcasm. She straight up refused to give me the cut I came in for at first, and then changed her mind and did it anyway with a bad attitude. I'm not in high school, I don't understand why a grown woman needs to act like a teenage bully to a paying client. It was surreal. The woman that did my pedicure also did my eyebrows... and while she was nicer, she didn't seem to be a trained esthetician. She didn't stretch the skin around my brows, she applied wax to the same places multiple times(!!), Didn't trim with scissors but actually pulled hairs out from the middle of my eyebrows. She had to do them twice, and didn't apply any cooling products afterwards. They turned out worse than when I do them myself. The owner needs to pay attention to her staff and make sure people are getting a quality experience, it was obvious how rude Ginger was being and no one seemed to care. I'm absolutely not returning to this salon for any services, due to Ginger's rude personality and the fact that no other stylist or manager observing what was happening seemed to care. I didn't want to make a scene so I simply paid and left, but now I wish I had said something because I've been upset about it ever since. It was truly a negative experience.

Best. Haircut. Ever!! I have really curly hair and got a Diva cut. First time I have ever walked out of a salon and not had to go home and style my hair. They didn't push any products that I didn't need. Everyone was friendly and the whole place is clean. Even offered coffee or water.

I have struggled to find a quality, knowledgeable stylist that will help me keep my hair blonde and healthy. She really listens to me, while discussing with me what is best for my hair and how the process works. She also is great to talk to & makes everyone feel comfortable in the styling chair. Heather can do vibrant colors, hair extensions, waxing (not Brazilian), keratin treatments, men's cuts, wedding hair, so I highly recommend her! The salon itself is neat, trendy, and easy to access from the highways. You definitely won't be disappointed getting your hair done by Heather!

Came here for an appointment looking to go platinum blonde. Heather went out of her way to squeeze me in on her day off after a scheduling mix up that was totally my fault. Through the consult about the different routes I could take to go platinum, I could tell that Heather really cared about the health of my hair rather than just doing what might have been easiest. As a hair highlighting and dyeing virgin, I couldn’t have felt like I was in better hands! More generally, the salon has a cool vibe and there is a convenient parking lot right across the street.

Just Terrible!! From the customer service to my hair cut to my blow dry. This place claims to know CURLY HAIR, but they REALLY don’t! There’s not enough diversity in KC to truly know ALL TYPES of curly hair. Plus the whole experience was just so awkward, she kept mentioning how much hair I have and how thick it is, well DUH that’s CURLY hair for you!! I expect a certain level of professionalism and GREAT results! This was not it! You just lost yourself a perfectly good & loyal client.

#Devacut #Ginger Recently went to Conforte Salon for a Deva cut w/Rhea Ko who said she could do it.. SHE LIED! She used me as practice... Here's my Google review on their Salon. Never again!! I went in for a Deva Cut. Which on the phone making the appointment (my 1st time there) Rhea Ko assured me she was able to do it and that their Deva cut stylist wasn't there. Who I had requested due to there website stating Tashia was Certified Devacu. She said it a little low and unsteady but I thought maybe being low-key b/c clients were there. My hair, walking in was in the middle of my back. Leaving, to my shoulders aaand I basically have a rattail! Hairs uneven, gaps in my hair form her technique of her "Deva cut"! She used my hair as practice. #Devacut #guinea pig #beware Now here at Salon Halo. Ginger is correcting all the chucks missing. Getting my hair even (no rattail!) Plus alot more. She's getting some color in my hair with the Pintura technique. (Technique for curly hair) Ginger is one of the best. I will not go anywhere else from now on! Even having a glass a wine to relax from all this hair stress. Highly recommend!

I can’t say enough good things about Ashley at Salon Halo! I had tape extensions for years and wanted to upgrade, Ashley told me about beaded row extensions and I was hooked from the minute she started talking. The process was so fast. My hair is AMAZING! She picked out different shades and blended them so great for me, and even gave me a mini tutorial on how to do a blow out. The beaded row extensions are so great because you can put your hair in a pony tail and it’s invisible. I’ve been scared to go to a salon for so long, but I’ve never felt so comfortable. My hair is the best it’s ever been! My extensions feel weightless and so soft and secure!!
